Rapid Fire Wrestling – Episode Two

Jade is standing in the ring and welcomes everyone to RFW. She introduces Jim “The Rebel” Rogers to the ring. Rogers comes down to the ring and pumps up the crowd. He takes the microphone from Jade and asks if everyone is excited. The crowd cheers. He says last episode was like a dream come true for him and he is thrilled that they succeeded in putting on such an action packed show. He says RFW is just getting started and is going to ramp up quickly. He announces that King Donovan, the RFW Champion, is in the building and will be out later this evening to address the audience. The audience boos. Rogers says first up is a match he is looking very forward to and asks Jade to bring the competitors out right now. He steps out of the ring and takes his place at ringside.

Jade introduces Cole Arcane to the ring for the first match. Arcane marches to the ring with his head covered up by his hoodie. He gets into the ring, unzips the hoodie and throws it out of the ring. He sneaks a look at Jade as he takes his spot in the corner. She catches his glance and smiles. She introduces Oleg Azarov to the ring next. Azarov ignores the fans as he comes down to the ring and climbs inside. He pulls on the ropes and then raises one fist in the air with a roar. The audience boos him.

“Welcome to RFW, my pals! We’re starting off with Cole Arcane and Oleg Azarov. Cole impressed last episode. We’ll see if he can do it again. This is our first time seeing Oleg Azarov who comes to us all the way from Russia. Can’t wait to see what he brings to RFW.”

Both wrestlers take their positions and the bell rings.

Cole Arcane vs. Oleg Azarov

Arcane and Azarov lock up in the middle of the ring. Azarov overpowers Arcane and pushes him into the ropes. Arcane rebounds and run at Azarov but is caught and locked in a bearhug. Azarov uses his strength to wear down Arcane in the opening minutes of the match, slamming him to the mat repeatedly. Azarov whips Arcane into a turnbuckle and runs at him with a clothesline but Arcane drops to the mat as Azarov crashes chest-first into the turnbuckle. He stumbles backward, holding his chest. Arcane follows up with a northern lights suplex and then begins to take control of the match. Arcane works on Azarov’s head, hitting elbows, knee drops, and headlocks. Azarov is thrown into the ropes and Arcane runs the opposite ropes. Arcane goes for a cross body block but Azarov catches him and slams him to the mat. Arcane tries to get up but Azarov stomps hard into the middle of his back, keeping him down. Azarov picks up Arcane and smashes him back down to the mat with a series of belly-to-belly suplexes. He follows up with a bearhug. Arcane is fading in the hold but digs deep and starts head butting Azarov. Azarov releases the hold. As he is holding his head, Cole Arcane runs off the ropes and hits him with a flying elbow. Azarov falls to the mat. Arcane picks him back up and drops him with a DDT. Arcane covers for the pin and gets the victory.

“Another one in the books for Cole Arcane! He’s scrappy. Azarov nearly had this match won but Arcane found a way to turn the tables. Nice way to get the ball rolling tonight!”

Jade announces Cole Arcane the winner. After the referee raises his hand, he says something inaudible to Jade. She laughs as he turns away and playfully pushes him in the shoulder to move him along.

“Ahh… do you smell that? I think that’s a hint of love in the air. Or is that spilled beer and sweat?”

Jade introduces Maria Estrella to the ring for the next match. Estrella comes down to the ring smiling and pointing out a fan sign with her name on it. She climbs in the ring and blows a kiss to the audience. Out next is Yurei, another newcomer to RFW. She ignores the audience on her way to the ring. She stalks around the outside of the ring before slipping under the ropes and going to a turnbuckle where she looks out at the audience with a dark stare.

“Ok, so, I know Yurei from my time wrestling in Japan. This young lady is all business and I’ve seen her do some serious damage in the ring. And don’t you ever, ever, draw a caricature of her. It doesn’t go well. Oh, how I miss that molar…”

Yurei takes her place in her corner and the referee calls for the bell to start the match.

Maria Estrella vs. Yurei

Yurei bursts out of the corner and spears Estrella to the mat. Estrella curls up, holding her stomach and coughing. Yurei attacks with vicious kicks and punches. She grabs Estrella by the hair and throws her around the ring. Yurei continues on offense while Estrella tries to find an opening. Yurei goes to spear Estrella following an irish whip into the ropes but Estrella surprises her with a sunset flip pin attempt. Yurei kicks out. Estrella begins her comeback, methodically working on Yurei’s back. Estrella tries to go for a running powerslam but Yurei is able to use her weight to take Estrella off balance, dropping her. Yurei follows up by throwing Estrella off the ropes and hitting a huge lariat. Yurei drills Estrella to the mat with a piledriver and covers for a pin. Estrella barely rolls a shoulder up to break the pin. Yurei stands up and stomps on Estrella as she tries to get to her feet. Yurei goes for another piledriver but Estrella reverses it into a back body drop. Yurei quickly gets up and runs at Estrella, but is caught in a small package rollup for a pin. Yurei is unable to kick out in time giving Estrella the victory.

“Yurei was vicious here but I think she underestimated Maria Estrella who once again persevered to win this match. Still, not a bad debut from Yurei. She looked dominant in most of this one.”

Maria Estrella is slow to get up as Jade is announcing her as the winner of the match. Once she is standing, the referee raises her arm and asks if she’s ok. She nods and celebrates with the audience before leaving the ring.

Jade introduces RFW Champion, King Donovan. Donovan comes down to the ring in casual dress. The RFW Championship is draped over his shoulder. He gets in the ring and poses, looking out over the audience through his sunglasses.

Jade congratulates him on his victory and asks how it feels to be champion. He says she wouldn’t understand what it is like to be wrestling royalty and neither would the rest of the peasants in the audience. The crowd boos loudly. He answers more directly by saying that being RFW Championship just reinforces to everyone what he already knew; that he is the greatest wrestler on the planet. Jade tells him that there is an entire locker room who wants an opportunity at his championship and asks if he is ready for whomever comes to challenge him for it. He laughs and says that he is already proven himself in the ring and the pressure is on for his opponents because they know that their dreams of glory will be shattered when they try to take this from him. He holds the title belt over his head. Mark Blood’s music begins to play and the audience begins to cheer. Mark Blood emerges from backstage, dressed to wrestle. He comes right into the ring, where Jade quickly introduces him to the audience. Jade grabs another microphone, hands one to each man and then exists the ring.

“Yeah, good thinking, Jade. Get out of there! This has potential to get volatile. Quick.”

Mark Blood says that King Donovan may be the champion and he may have a long list of challengers in front of him but the way he sees it, he is the number one contender. He says he is ready for a fight and challenges King Donovan right here, right now. Donovan laughs and says you can’t come into his ring and make demands. Blood says that Donovan is nervous because he knows there is a real possibility he would be walking out of the building tonight as the former RFW Champion. Donovan is about to reply when Cate Stiles music begins to play. She walks over to Jade and demands a microphone. She gets one and climbs into the ring. She tells Mark Blood that things aren’t over between them, and tonight, she wants him one-on-one. She then turns to Donovan and says that after she finishes with Mark Blood, she’s coming for him. Suddenly, Jessie Vega’s music begins to play and she comes out to the ring. The crowd is getting very excited.

“Now Jessie Vega is in the ring! Is the whole locker room coming out here to stake their claim?”

Jade hands Vega a microphone. She tells Cate Stiles that she has other things to worry about right now. Vega says that Stiles tried to use her to send a message after their match and that doesn’t sit well with her. She says Stiles tried to injure her but she’s still standing and says tonight she wants to put Stiles in her place. All four wrestlers start to argue with each other over who will get what they want when Jim Rogers steps into the ring. The audience begins to cheer.

Rogers says that all of them have valid reasons to want a match. He says that Mark Blood does deserve a shot at the RFW Championship. He says that is also intrigued by a rematch between Jessie Vega and Cate Stiles. He says that both of those matches will happen next episode but for tonight, he has something else planned. He says that Mark Blood and Jessie Vega will compete against King Donovan and Cate Stiles in a tag team match. The audience cheers. Mark and Jessie have a quick dialogue between each other and fist bump. King Donovan says something to Jim Rogers who only shakes his head in response. Cate Stiles glares at both of her opponents from across the ring.

“Oh man, I’m looking forward to this tag team match. I hope King Donovan packed his wrestling gear. I’d hate to see those fancy dress clothes get all torn up!”

After everyone leaves the ring, Jade introduces the competitors for the next match. Out first is Aidan North. He climbs the turnbuckles and pumps up the crowd. Out next is Giant Wraith accompanied by Witchmere. They slowly walk to the ring. Giant Wraith appears emotionless but Witchmere gives cold stares to the audience members at ringside as they walk by. Giant Wraith holds the ropes for Witchmere as she climbs inside. He steps over the top rope. Witchmere stares at Aidan North who looks a little uncomfortable in his corner of the ring. She steps out of the ring, leaving Giant Wraith in his corner. The referee calls for the bell.

Aidan North vs. Giant Wraith

Aidan North hesitantly locks up with Giant Wraith, who wins the tie up by merely throwing his much smaller opponent to the side. North runs off the ropes and tries to dropkick Wraith but he just swats him down. North gets up but is grabbed the shoulders and thrown into the ropes. On the rebound he is hit with a big boot. Wraith uses his size advantage to beat down on North. North tries to fight his way out of the onslaught but is unable to. Giant Wraith grabs him by the throat and drives him to the mat with a clothesline. He pins North for the victory.

Jade announces Giant Wraith as the winner. Witchmere climbs back into the ring and raises Wraith’s arm in victory. Then, she looks down at Aidan North who is still motionless on the mat. She drags him to his feet and then drives him back down to the mat with a piledriver. The referee pushes her aside and warns her. She hisses back at him. Giant Wraith and Witchmere both leave the ring. The referee helps Aidan North up and checks on him before he leaves the ring.

“Those are two scary people. I’m going to be more cautious about walking down a dark corridor backstage from now on.”

Jade says it is time for the main event and introduces Mark Blood and Jessie Vega, who come out together. They take their corner and chat between each other, strategizing. Cate Stiles comes out next. Finally, King Donovan comes to the ring. Vega and Stiles stand on the apron while Blood and Donovan stay in the ring to start the match. The bell rings.

Mark Blood and Jessie Vega vs. King Donovan and Cate Stiles

Blood and Donovan lock up. Donovan transitions it to a headlock. Blood pushes out and whips Donovan into the ropes, hitting him on the rebound with a drop kick. They lock up again. Donovan whips Blood into the ropes and clotheslines him. He follows up with a double axehandle to Blood’s shoulders and then begins to slam him around the ring. Vega slaps the turnbuckle and yells to Blood to give him some support. Donovan tags in Cate Stiles who immediately runs to Blood, who is laying on the mat, and starts kicking him. She yells at him to get up. As he starts to stand up, she throws him into the ropes and catches him with a drop kick on the rebound. She gloats and then surprises Vega with a cheap shot. Vega spins around and sits on the ring apron for a moment before getting back up. She shakes off the hit and goes back to cheering on Blood. Stiles starts attacking Blood’s leg. He manages to kick her away from him long enough to get to his feet. She runs at him with a forearm smash but he ducks it. She bounces off the ropes. Blood runs off the opposite ropes and catches her with a drop kick. The crowd cheers as he gets to his corner and tags in Vega. Vega comes into the ring with fiery spirit and starts attacking Stiles. She has her way with Stiles and eventually nails her with a tornado DDT. Vega gets to her feet and screams with energy. The crowd gets pumped up and cheers for her. As Stiles starts to get up, Vega comes up from behind and locks in a crossface chicken wing. She wraps her legs around Stiles drops to the mat. Stiles is locked in tight, screaming and trying to find the ring ropes with her feet to break the hold. She is stuck right in the middle of the ring. King Donovan climbs in and boots Vega once in the shoulder and again in the side of the ribs. She releases the hold. The referee tries to get Donovan back onto the ring apron. Blood climbs into the ring and charges at Donovan. They brawl in a corner while the referee tries to break them up. On the other side of the ring, Stiles climbs on Vega on the mat and starts throwing punches. Vega tries to block the shots.

“This tag match has turned into an all out brawl!”

Cate Stiles tosses Jessie Vega through the ropes to the floor. Instead of following her out, she goes over to Mark Blood, who is blasting Donovan with punches in the corner and spins him around. She kicks him in the gut, doubling him over. She starts hammering on Blood but Vega slips back into the ring, comes behind Stiles, and hits a German Suplex. Blood turns around and is picked up and body slammed by a recovered Donovan. The referee, finally getting some order in the match, pushes Donovan back to his corner. He steps through the ropes to the apron. Just as he does this, Mark Blood spears him through the middle ring rope and both men fall to the floor. Vega has climbed the turnbuckle as Stiles is laying on the mat and does a flogsplash on her. She quickly covers as the referee counts for three. Jessie Vega secures a victory for her and Mark Blood.

Jade announces Jessie Vega and Mark Blood as the winners of the match. Mark Blood climbs back inside the ring and the referee raises both wrestler’s arms. Vega and Blood give each other another fist bump and Blood raises Vega’s arm again. The crowd cheers for them. Blood and Vega climb turnbuckles and celebrate with the audience. Blood looks down at King Donovan and Cate Stiles, who are both standing nearby on the outside. He points to them and says something to both of them. Donovan sneers, holding his title belt above his head. Stiles angrily says something back to him. They leave ringside together, discussing something on their way backstage. Blood and Vega continue to celebrate with the audience.

“There is a lot of momentum for Jessie Vega and Mark Blood going into our next episode where they each have big matches. Will their luck continue? See you then when we find out!”

News

The RFW Championship will be contested in the next episode when King Donovan defends against Mark Blood.

Jessie Vega will meet Cate Stiles in a rematch from the championship tournament.
