He smiles and says that he did, too. He says that it was an incredible match and he’s proud that it happened in RFW. He says that despite how brutal it was, neither man was seriously hurt and will be back to action soon. He says it’s time to look ahead to tonight and that starts with the main event of Cate Stiles against Maria Estrella. The crowd cheers loudly.
Rogers also says that he is making a change regarding the commentary staff. He says that Shawn Roberts has been doing a great job as the voice of RFW. The crowd cheers in agreement. Shawn Roberts stands up at the commentary desk, shrugs, and waves to the fans in gratitude. Rogers says that he is adding a second voice to the commentary. He says that there is a window of opportunity to bring this person in and asks everyone to welcome her to ringside. He introduces Jessie Vega as the newest member of the RFW commentary team. The crowd cheers enthusiastically.
Jessie Vega comes out to ringside on crutches. She stops along the way to give high fives to some of the audience members as she works her way to the commentary table. Shawn Roberts pulls a chair out for her.
“Took you long enough to get out here.” -Shawn Roberts
“Gee thanks. It’s nice to see you, too.” -Jessie Vega
“Hah! Welcome aboard. I’m looking forward to this.” -Shawn Roberts
“Thanks! Me too. As much as I want to be in that ring right now, I’ll take as close as I can get!” -Jessie Vega
Jim Rogers tells everyone to enjoy themselves tonight before handing the microphone back to Jade. Jade introduces the competitors of the first match. Out first is Andre Jordan. He poses in the ring, taking in the boos from the audience. Out next is Vito DeFazio. He climbs into the ring and tries to pump up the crowd before taking his corner. The referee calls for the bell.
Andre Jordan vs. Vito DeFazio
Both men lock up and Jordan is surprised when DeFazio quickly hip tosses him to the mat. He gets up, shakes his head and comes at DeFazio who again hip tosses him. DeFazio quickly capitalizes and keeps Jordan on the mat. Jordan tries to fight back to his feet. He manages to get up but is thrown into the ropes and hit with a diving forearm smash by DeFazio on the rebound. The crowd is getting behind DeFazio as he continues his attack. DeFazio goes for a DDT but Jordan slips out and spears him to the mat. Jordan takes a moment to regroup before throwing DeFazio around with a flurry of suplexes. DeFazio, stunned, tries to get to his feet but is unable to as Jordan continues his assault with stomps. Jordan picks up DeFazio and slams him to the mat with a sitout powerbomb. He pins DeFazio for the victory.
“Vito DeFazio had some momentum going for this match but Jordan just overpowered him and took the victory. Nice way to get things going tonight.” -Shawn Roberts
“I wouldn’t take anything anyway from Vito. He put up a good fight in the opening minutes of this match.” -Jessie Vega
“Absolutely! I think both of these guys are on their way to having a solid career in the wrestling business.” -Shawn Roberts
Jade announces Andre Jordan the winner of the match as the referee raises his hand. He poses in the ring before leaving. Jade introduces Cate Stiles to the ring next. Stiles comes down to the ring and ignores the boos of the audience as she slides into the ring and paces back and forth in front of Jade. She stops and walks over to Jade. Jade explains to the audience that Stiles is in the main event tonight against the woman who challenged her, Maria Estrella. She asks Stiles how she feels about the challenge tonight and Estrella as an opponent.
Stiles says the challenge was laughable. She watched Estrella come out in her dress and looking like she was going out on a date. She says that is the difference between herself and Maria Estrella. Stiles says she always comes to the ring dressed to fight. Tonight is no different. She says she is the most dangerous person in RFW and will teach Estrella that lesson firsthand. Stiles turns toward the announce table and points to Jessie Vega. Stiles says that Vega couldn’t cut it in the ring with her and now she’s sitting on the sidelines where she belongs.
“Uh huh. Just keep thinking that. We’ll see what you say when payback comes your way.” -Jessie Vega
Stiles looks back to Jade and says that tonight Maria Estrella learns what it’s like to get in the ring with a real fighter. Stiles walks away before Jade can say anything else and leaves the ringside area. Jade watches her as she leaves.
“Some tough talk from Cate Stiles tonight. She sounds ready for tonight’s main event.” -Shawn Roberts
“She may be ready for a fight but she underestimates the abilities of Maria Estrella. She’s going to get what’s coming to her.” -Jessie Vega
“Hoo.. This tie must be on too tight. Is it stuffy in here? No? Just the high tension? Ok.” -Shawn Roberts
“Funny.” -Jessie Vega
Jade introduces the competitors for the next match. Out first is Rex Anarchy. As he is making his way to the ring, someone from the audience jumps the barricade and dives on top of him. The attacker begins slugging away at him on the floor. The audience is cheering in the confusion.
“Hey! Someone get that fan out of here! You can’t jump in here and attack the wrestlers!” -Shawn Roberts
“Wait a minute. That’s no fan! That’s Cole Arcane!” -Jessie Vega
Cole Arcane throws Anarchy into the ring and slides in behind him. He throws the hood of his hoodie behind his head, fully revealing himself to the audience. They go nuts with applause. Anarchy looks up and sees who his attacker is. He tries to escape from the ring. Arcane grabs him from around the waist and drags him into the middle of the ring. He suplexes Anarchy and then crawls over to him and starts laying into him with fists. Both men roll around on the mat trading and blocking blows. Anarchy slips out of the ring and Arcane follows. As Arcane approaches him, Anarchy grabs his arm and pulls him hard into the steel ring post. Arcane’s eyebrow is split open and blood immediately begins to flow into his eyes. He stumbles to his feet, wipes his eyes and continues to come after Anarchy. Both men lock up and start pushing each other back and forth. Arcane appears to be affected by more blood pouring into his eyes and flinches. Anarchy senses it and tosses him to the mat. Anarchy sees Jade standing just a few feet away from them. He approaches her and she yells at him to back off. Hearing this, Arcane gets up and runs in their direction. Anarchy grabs Jade by the arm and throws her at Arcane. Arcane, blinded, feels someone bump into him and instinctively uses a belly to belly suplex. As soon as Jade hits the floor and cries out, Arcane realizes what he did. He hugs her and continually says he is sorry. Anarchy laughs and walks off.
Arcane is distraught as Jade pushes away from him and gets up, slowly, from the floor. Arcane wipes the blood from his eyes once again and approaches Jade. She looks at him as she leans against the side of the ring. Arcane tries to apologize but Jade slaps him hard across the face. She tells him to leave her alone. Referees start to pull Arcane away to check on him. Jim Rogers checks on Jade to make sure she is ok.
“What a mess this has become. The feud between Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane is way out of hand! Jade just got caught in the middle in the worst way.” -Shawn Roberts
“Yeah, but it looks like she is getting back in the ring. She must be ok!” -Jessie Vega
Jade takes a moment to brush off her dress and says that the previously scheduled match is not happening. She says that Jim Rogers has an announcement regarding the next episode. Rogers climbs into the ring and takes the microphone. He looks annoyed about what has just transpired but he takes a moment to settle himself before speaking. He says that RFW is already gaining worldwide attention in its short history for the talent of the wrestlers and the quality matches they perform in every night. Because of this attention, he is able to attract more wrestlers to come and compete in this ring. Rogers says he is proud to announce that he has signed two big names from Japan to RFW and they will be debuting next week. First is Hiro Nishimoto, a martial arts expert who has made a name for himself in recent years by transitioning to the wrestling ring. The other is Koji Otaka, one of the biggest stars in Japan for the last decade. He says he is excited to bring both of these talents into RFW next episode.
“This is a great win for RFW! I can’t wait to see them in the ring. I’m a big Nishimoto fan.” -Jessie Vega
“Hiro Nishimoto is awesome. We spent time together during a tournament a few years back. Koji Otaka is one of the greatest wrestlers I ever faced during my career in Japan. Believe me when I tell you this. He will do great things here.” -Shawn Roberts
Jim Rogers leaves the ring. Jade introduces the competitors for the next match. Out first is Witchmere, with Giant Wraith and Grave by her side. She climbs into the ring and stands there staring down the entrance way.
“Witchmere out here for singles action with her allies by her side. I am told they refer to themselves as the ‘Children of the Dark Dawn.'” -Shawn Roberts
“Sounds appropriate, though I have no idea what that means.” -Jessie Vega
Next out is Mysterie. She runs down to the ring and slides in. She cautiously looks at her opponent before climbing the turnbuckle and posing with her arms outstretched before the crowd. She climbs down and stands in her corner. Giant Wraith and Grave step out of the ring and the bell rings.
Witchmere vs. Mysterie
Mysterie comes out to the center of the ring to meet Witchmere. She immediately goes for a kick to the ribs but Witchmere catches her leg and pushes her down to the mat. Mysterie gets up and locks up with Witchmere, who overpowers her and tosses her to the side. Mysterie hits the mat in motion and tumbles under the bottom rope to the floor. Grave calmly walks up to her, grabs her by the hair, and throws her back into the ring. The referee scolds Grave for interfering, who just stands there and stares at him.
“This isn’t a fair playing field for Mysterie. Not with those overgrown Halloweeners standing at ringside.” -Jessie Vega
“Shh! They’ll hear you!” -Shawn Roberts
Witchmere attacks Mysterie before she can get up from the mat. Witchmere picks up Mysterie off the mat, scoops her up, and drives her down with a running powerslam. Witchmere covers but Mysterie kicks out. Witchmere keeps her opponent on the mat with a headlock. Mysterie tries to fight out of it. Slowly, she gets Witchmere to loosen her grip. Mysterie slips out and gets to her feet. As Witchmere stands up, she is surprised by a super kick from Mysterie. Both women fall to the mat. Mysterie recovers quickly and runs off the ropes. She hits a low drop kick to Witchmere as she tries to stand up. Mysterie lands a few stomps before pulling Witchmere to her feet and monkey flipping her into a corner. Witchmere’s foot gets caught on the top turnbuckle and Mysterie body splashes into her upside down opponent. Witchmere falls to the mat. Mysterie pulls her out of the corner and puts her in positon on the mat. Mysterie hops up to the top turnbuckle and is about to jump off when Giant Wraith stands on the ring apron and shakes the ropes. Mysterie begins to lose her footing and tumbles into the ring. The referee is yelling at Giant Wraith to get off the ring apron. With Giant Wraith distracted by the referee, Mysterie runs off of the opposite ropes and hits him in the face with a drop kick. The crowd cheers as the giant teeters and stumbles backward to the floor. Mysterie looks to her left and sees Grave looking in her direction. She runs toward him and dives through the ropes, taking him down. Mysterie stands up and yells, which gets the audience energized.
“Mysterie is taking out everybody! Go girl, go!” -Jessie Vega
“She’s running on survival instinct right now. She needs to level the playing field but she needs to keep her attention on Witchmere. That is her real concern right now.” -Shawn Roberts
Mysterie slides back into the ring where Witchmere is getting to her feet. She goes for a clothesline but Witchmere ducks just in time. Mysterie comes back off the opposite ropes in rebound and successfully lands a flying clothesline. She quickly climbs the ropes again and dives off with a corkscrew bodysplash. She nails it and quickly covers Witchmere for a pin. Just before the referee counts to three, Giant Wraith grabs Mysterie’s leg and pulls her out of the ring. The referee sees it and calls for the bell, giving Mysterie a win via disqualification.
“Looks like the referee had enough of the interference in this match. This one’s over.” -Shawn Roberts
“Not quite the way Mysterie was looking to win but – OH NO!” -Jessie Vega
Grave grabs Mysterie by the hair and throws her into the ring steps. Mysterie cries out as she rolls on the floor and hits the barracade. She starts to get to her feet but Witchmere climbs out of the ring and grabs her by the neck. She drags Mysterie over to the ring and throws her in. Witchmere slides in and stomps Mysterie in the head a few times before kneeling down and applying the head vice. Giant Wraith and Grave stand behind Mysterie. Suddenly, Aidan North’s music begins to play and he rushes to the ring from backstage. He slides under the ropes and immediately drop kicks Grave. He ducks a clothesline by Giant Wraith and quickly kicks the big man behind the knee. Giant Wraith falls to one knee and North runs from behind and hits him with a bull dog. As he gets up, he sees Witchmere let go of Mysterie and comes toward him. They exchange a few punches before he tosses her through the middle rope to the outside. Witchmere lands on her feet and stands in the aisleway while her men regroup at her side. They stare angrily at North before retreating. North checks on Mysterie, who gets to her feet. North raises her hand in the air. They exchange some words before leaving the ring together.
“Looks like Mysterie has some backup in this fight!” -Jessie Vega
“Aidan North has some unfinished business with the Children. He’s back and he looks fired up!” -Shawn Roberts
Jade enters the ring and announces that it is time for the main event. She introduces the competitors. Out first is Maria Estrella. She comes out to the ring slapping hands with the audience. She slides into the ring and blows the audience a kiss before taking her corner. Out next is Cate Stiles. She walks directly to the ring, ignoring the audience boos. She climbs through the ropes and gives an angry stare to Estrella before stepping into her corner. The crowd is very vocal before the bell rings.
“It’s getting noisy in here. The fans want to see this match!” -Shawn Roberts
“Not just the fans. I need to see this match. Ring the bell, ref!” -Jessie Vega
Maria Estrella vs. Cate Stiles
The referee calls for the bell. Both women meet in the middle of the ring and trash talk each other before Maria Estrella slaps Cate Stiles across the face. Stiles charges at Estrella and they both lock up. Estrella turns it into a headlock and wrenches on Stiles neck before Stiles transitions the hold into a throw into the ropes. Estrella bounces off the ropes and comes back for a clothesline but Stiles ducks and then runs the opposite ropes. Stiles leapfrogs over Estrella as she ducks. Stiles comes off the ropes ready for a clothesline but Estrella counters it into a hip toss. Stiles bounces off the mat, gets up and both women lock up again. Estrella goes for another Irish Whip but Stiles reverses it, sending Estrella into the ropes. On the rebound, Stiles hits a standing dropkick, sending Estrella to the mat. Stiles immediately begins to stomp on Estrella. Stiles applies a leg lock on Estrella, wearing her down. Estrella forces her way out of the hold but Stiles reapplies it.
“Cate Stiles is wearing down Estrella’s leg so she make her dreaded ankle lock submission more effective.” -Shawn Roberts
“Stiles comes at you with razor focus. She has a game plan. The key is to learn it and counter it. I hope Maria did her homework coming into this match.” -Jessie Vega
Estrella manages to pull herself to a rope, forcing the referee to break the hold. Stiles reluctantly lets go of the hold but quickly gets up and stomps on Estrella’s ankle. Estrella rolls out to the ring apron and begins to pull herself up using the ropes. Stiles approaches her. Estrella ducks between the ropes and drives a shoulder into Stiles’ midsection. Stiles is stunned and doubled over. Estrella does a sunset flip over the ropes and holds down Stiles for a pin. Stiles kicks out, rolls back to her feet and kicks Estrella in the face. Stiles picks up Estrella and throws her into a corner. Stiles takes Estrella’s leg, puts it over the middle rope and kicks her hard under the thigh. Estrella cries out and Stiles does it again. Stiles does it one more time and then double underhook suplexes Estrella back into the middle of the ring. Stiles measures Estrella and as she starts to stand up, runs off the ropes and goes for a springboard dropkick. Estrella sees it coming and side steps at the last second. Stiles hits the mat. As she starts to get up, Estrella runs off the ropes and drives a knee into Stiles head. Stiles rolls over on her back and Estrella quickly goes for a pin. Stiles kicks out. Estrella slams her palms on the mat several times to get the crowd pumped up. The crowd begins to clap and cheer for her as she stands up, picks up Stiles, and drives her back down with a german suplex. She picks up Stiles and again hits a german suplex. She picks up Stiles a third time and drops her with a reverse DDT. Estrella goes for a pin. Stiles barely rolls a shoulder up before the three count. The crowd gasps in shock. Estrella rolls off of her opponent and looks frustrated.
“So close! Honestly, a different referee might have just called this match in Estrella’s favor! It was that close! That close!” -Shawn Roberts
“Maria can’t get frustrated now. She needs to keep on her! She knows she is close. Cate Stiles is in serious danger of losing this match right now!” -Jessie Vega
Maria Estrella gets up and picks up Cate Stiles. She throws Stiles off the ropes but is surprised by a drop kick by Stiles and knocked to the mat. Both women lay in the ring as they try to recover. Estrella gets up first and approaches Stiles. Stiles appears to be unaware of where she is at in the ring but suddenly lands a swift kick to the side of Estrella’s leg, taking her back down to the mat. Stiles crawls over to Estrella and grabs her leg. She gets to her feet and tries to apply the ankle lock. Estrella kicks and squirms until she is able to break free. She quickly gets to her feet just as Stiles comes at her with a clothesline. Estrella ducks and quickly grabs Stiles arms from behind, locking her in a full nelson. Stiles flails her arms as she tries to escape but gradually slows down. She appears to be fading as Estrella keeps the full nelson held in tight. Stiles, on rubbery legs, stumbles toward the ropes. As she falls in front of the ropes, Estrella is pulled forward, throat first, into the top rope. Estrella lets go of the hold and falls back against the mat, gasping for air. Stiles climbs up to her feet with aid from the ropes. She begins to walk toward Estrella, who is beginning to stand back up.
“Cate Stiles is clawing her way back into this fight!” -Shawn Roberts
“She looks angry. And determined. Maria needs to recover quickly!” -Jessie Vega
Cate Stiles grabs Maria Estrella by the hair and pulls her up to her feet. She yanks Estrella’s head back, says something threatening to her, and then shoves her to the mat. Stiles reaches down to grab Estrella’s ankle but Estrella kicks her with the other leg, sending her into the ropes. Stiles uses the momentum to come off the ropes. Estrella catches Stiles off the rebound with a drop kick. Stiles falls to the mat. Estrella gets up and walks over to Stiles. As she gets close, Stiles thrusts off the mat and drives an elbow to her abdomen. Estrella falls to her knees. Stiles does a flipping neckbreaker to Estrella, landing her on her back. Stiles gets up and quickly runs over to Estrella’s legs. She picks up Estrella’s ankle and quickly turns her over, cinching in an ankle lock. Estrella screams as she tries to find a nearby rope. She is too far away. She tries to escape the hold but is unable to and begins to tap out. The referee calls for the bell. Stiles holds the ankle lock for a few seconds before dropping Estrella’s leg and walking away. She holds her hand to the referee who raises it as Jade announces her the winner of the match.
“Hard fought match for Maria Estrella but I don’t think she had any other choice. That’s a bad spot to be in.” -Shawn Roberts
“Don’t I know it. I’m wearing the cast to prove it. Maria Estrella gave it her all but Cate Stiles came up on top tonight. Can anyone stop her?” -Jessie Vega
Cate Stiles looks over at the announce table and smirks at Jessie Vega. She rolls out of the ring and walks backstage. Maria Estrella stands in a corner of the ring and watches her opponent leave. She shakes her head in disappointment, steps out of the ring, and walks to the back with her hands on her hips and her head down.
