Jessie Vega Challenges Maria Estrella

Following an uncomfortable altercation with her best friend, Maria Estrella, Jessie Vega has demanded a match with her. Vega vs. Estrella has been set for the main event of this episode.

Mailbag

We love hearing from our fans. We’ve opened up the mailbag to answer some of your burning questions.

Dennis from Cheyenne writes:

“This question is for Tracy Blood! Tracy, do you think Mark Blood’s recent actions is tarnishing the Blood family name?”

Thanks for writing, Dennis! We caught up with Tracy Blood to get her thoughts on the matter.

“Oh boy. That’s hard to say. Mark has always been driven to be the best at what he does. Growing up, he was always hot headed when he got frustrated. I think that is what is happening now and I hope he cools off. He’s better than this. With that being said, I think this is just a bump in the road for our family and our legacy will continue to be bright for years to come. Thank you so much for writing to me!”

Jim from Tampa writes:

“There were a lot of wrestlers around during the first six episodes of RFW that haven’t been seen since you came back. Where are they?”

Good question, Jim. We asked RFW President, C.W. Sunderland, to explain.

“In many ways, RFW started over with our Rebirth episode (#007). We wanted to start things off with a smaller, better focused roster and have plans to expand it as needed.

Don’t worry. We have not forgotten about those who helped shape the early RFW.

When the time is right, we hope to bring them back.”

Outside The Ring

King Donovan Retreats

Following his Titan Championship loss, King Donovan was seen in Milan on holiday. A fan reported that he looked exhausted and was even less approachable than he normally is.

The New Titan Speaks

Jax Rivers kicked off the show by coming down to the ring with the RFW Titan Championship belt draped over his shoulder. He was dressed in a form fitted t-shirt and jeans. He interacted with the audience at ringside before climbing through the ropes.

Jax Rivers took a microphone and welcomed everyone to RFW. He said that he came in and did what he said he would do, overcome King Donovan and become the new Titan

Champion. Rivers said he is only just getting started. He considers the Titan Championship to be his biggest accomplishment to date and he promises to elevate it to new heights, making it the greatest prize in all of wrestling. The audience cheers.

Rivers said that King Donovan is not in the building tonight. The crowd boos. He said that Donovan put up an incredible fight and he knows that the former champ will be back for a rematch. Rivers said that he is ready and warned Donovan to make sure he brings his very best. Rivers thanked the crowd for supporting him and told everyone to enjoy the show. Rivers left the ring and celebrated with fans at ringside again before leaving.

The Fozzman Returns

RFW original Vito DeFazio returned to the company to the surprise of the audience. DeFazio didn’t have much luck during his first run but, with microphone in hand, told the audience that the Fozzman has returned to RFW and promised to make the most of his fresh start.

The music of Children of a Dark Dawn began to play and Grave came down to the ring with Witchmere and Giant Wraith in tow. Grave stepped through the ropes and sneered at Vito DeFazio who was psyching himself up for the match.

Vito DeFazio vs. Grave

Both men locked up in the middle of the ring but Grave easily overpowered DeFazio, throwing him to the mat. DeFazio was unable to mount any offense as Grave clotheslined, body slammed, and stretched his opponent before forcing him to submit to the torture rack.

After the referee rang the bell, Grave unceremoniously tossed DeFazio over the top rope. Witchmere and Giant Wraith came in to celebrate with Grave.

From Behind The Microphone

Jade, RFW’s former ring announcer, came down to the ring to compete in a match.

Although this would be her first match in RFW, Jade had a brief stint wrestling for New Revolution Wrestling League. Jade was dressed a silver and green top, green wrestling trunks, and silver boots. By her side was her boyfriend, fellow RFW wrestler, Cole Arcane. Jade looked excited to be competing. The fans cheered for her as she climbed a turnbuckle and blew a kiss to the crowd.

Annika, her opponent, came down to the ring next wearing a Nirvana shirt, jean cut offs, and boots. She climbed into the ring and sized up Jade before taking her corner.

Jade vs. Annika

Jade and Annika locked up and Annika was surprised to find herself thrown to the mat. She looked up at Jade in shock, having underestimated her opponent. Annika got back on her feet and locked up with Jade again, this time getting pushed back against the ropes. Annika looked angry and started to get in close again, only this time she kicked Jade in the side of the leg and quickly followed up with a takedown. Annika started a ground offense with holds, focusing on Jade’s arm.

Fans started to rally for Jade as she tried to break free of Annika. Annika told them to shut up but Jade fed off the crowd and started a comeback. Jade attacked Annika with power moves, wearing down her back and neck.

Outside the ring, Cole Arcane watched, offering occasional words of encouragement to Jade. Suddenly, Arcane was attacked from behind by Rex Anarchy! Anarchy had come through the crowd and jumped over the barricade. Jade turned her attention to the action outside the ring as Anarchy rammed Arcane through the metal ring steps. Jade was about to step out of the ring but Annika grabbed her from behind and rolled her up for a surprise pin. The referee counted to three and awarded Annika the victory.

Jade rolled out the ring to tend to Cole Arcane as Rex Anarchy laughed and backed his way up the aisle to the backstage area. Arcane sat on the floor with a look of shock mixed with rage.

Even The Odds

RFW Valkyrie Champion Tracy Blood came down to the ring with the title belt around her waist. She grabbed a microphone as she entered the ring. Wasting no time, Tracy said she just got word that Witchmere has been granted a title opportunity at the next episode. She said that she is a confident champion and is willing to take on any and all comers. Tracy said that staying champion is sometimes harder than the journey to become champion. Every woman on the roster wants the title she holds and she knows that she has the fight of her life ahead of her in trying to stay Valkyrie Champion.

Tracy said that while she is confident in her abilities, she would be lying if she said she wasn’t concerned about the Children of a Dark Dawn standing at ringside, interfering in the match. She said that she doesn’t have a fair fight ahead of her but she will do everything she can to walk out of the next episode as champion.

Music began to play and Tracy looked curiously toward the arena entrance. The crowd erupted in cheers as Tracy’s father, hall of fame wrestling legend and Masters of Wrestling original, Mike Blood, came out to the arena. He stood in the aisle looking out at the audience and gave a big smile and a wave as they chanted his name. He walked to the ring to join his daughter in the ring. Tracy looked surprised, but excited, to see him. As the music died down and the audience began to settle, Tracy formally introduced her dad to the RFW audience. The crowd once again burst into cheers. Mike Blood looked genuinely touched to receive such a welcome.

Mike had a microphone of his own and said that he is glad that the fans still remember him after all the years. He said that RFW is quickly becoming one of the hottest wrestling companies around and he’s so proud that his daughter is standing in the ring as their champion. He told Tracy he loves her, is proud of her hard work, and thrilled to see her as the first woman champion in RFW history. The crowd cheered again.

Mike said he came out to the ring because he is concerned about Tracy’s match with Witchmere. He said he knows Tracy can defend her title on fair ground but the Children will not stay out of the match and it won’t be a fair fight. He said they are very dangerous people. Tracy told her father that she knew what she was getting into when she got into this business. Not every fight is fair.

Mike said that he thinks it’s suicide to go into the match alone and while he may be retired, he never forgot how to fight. Mike told Tracy that he will stand in her corner if she lets him and he will do what he can to make it a fair fight. Tracy said that it could be really dangerous out there but he insisted that he would make sure no one interferes in her match. Tracy smiled and hugged her father, nodding her head in his shoulder.  They stood in the ring and took in the audience cheers before leaving.

Best Friends Collide

Jessie Vega came down to the ring for her main event match against Maria Estrella. Vega climbed a turnbuckle and started to throw a peace sign to the audience but turned it into a dismissive hand wave and frown instead. The crowd booed as she walked across the ring and took her spot in a corner.

Maria Estrella came out next. She slapped hands with fans in the aisle but never took her eyes off of Jessie Vega in the ring. Estrella seemed to be concerned getting into the ring. She slid under the ropes and walked over to Vega, asking her to put off the match. Vega only pointed to Estrella’s corner. Estrella reluctantly took her corner.

As the bell rang, Jessie Vega taunted Maria Estrella, begging her to make the first

move. When Estrella refused, Vega walked up to her and shoved her in a corner. Vega taunted again and Estrella still refused. Vega walked up to Estrella and slapped her across the face. Estrella’s face shifted to anger immediately and exploded out of the corner with a clothesline sending Vega to the mat. Estrella hesitated for a moment but then continued on the attack, using holds on the mat.

Jessie Vega broke free and started striking Maria Estrella with forearms and punches. She ramped up with some drop kicks and clotheslines. Vega body slammed Estrella with her arm underneath her. Estrella screamed out in pain and clutched her arm as Vega stomped on it several times. Vega waited for Estrella to get to her feet and grabbed the damaged arm, putting it in a double wrist lock. Estrella screamed out in pain but stayed on her feet as Vega tried to wrench her to the mat. Estrella, using strength and great ring awareness, lifted Vega up in the air and dropped her face first on a turnbuckle, breaking the hold.

Estrella tried to shake the pain out of her arm but couldn’t recover quickly enough as Vega came back at her with more offense. Vega ran off the ropes and tried to leapfrog over Estrella but landed awkwardly on her right foot. Vega yelled out in pain as she fell to the mat, grabbing her ankle, the same one that she previously broke. The referee knelt down to check on Vega. Maria Estrella looked on with concern. Vega slowly stood up and hobbled to the ropes for support. She signaled to the referee that she was ok to continue as she walked gingerly on her right leg. Vega looked over at Estrella and told her to come at her. Estrella appeared to be more concerned for Vega’s well being.

Vega put her injured ankle on the ropes and pointed to it, taunting Estrella to finish her off. Estrella refused and told Vega they should stop the match. Vega shook her head and limped over to Estrella. Vega blasted Estrella in the face with a forearm smash, knocking her down to the mat. Vega dove on top of her, applying another double wrist lock. Estrella, missing an opportunity to win the match by caring for her friend’s well being, found herself unable to break free from Vega’s submission hold. Estrella yelled out in pain as she tapped out.

Vega stood over Estrella and looked down at her as the referee raised her hand. Vega limped out of the ring leaving Estrella behind. Estrella sat up and watched Vega leave the ring area. Brokenhearted, tears spilled down Maria Estrella’s cheeks.
