Outside The Ring

Jessie Vega Remorseful?

Jessie Vega was seen at a coffee shop by paparazzi. Vega was asked about her recent falling out with best friend, Maria Estrella. Vega responded by saying she feels terrible about what has happened between them. Is Vega experiencing a change of heart?

Estranged Father/Son

Following his recent appearance in RFW, legendary wrestler Mike Blood has been doing interviews promoting the company. During one interview, he was asked about the actions of his son, Mark Blood. Mike responded by saying that his son is on his own path right now, neither man has spoken to one another, and he doesn’t know anything about Mark’s current plans or mindset. He refused to say any more on the matter.

Tracy Blood Acknowledges Championship Controversy

Mike Blood isn’t the only one doing the promotional circuit. RFW Valkyrie Champion Tracy Blood was at a fundraiser and was interviewed by a local television station. During the interview, she was asked about some negative fan reaction regarding her championship victory, which came after the match was restarted due to interference. Tracy said she understands both sides of the issue and said that she hopes to put the controversy behind her by defeating Witchmere in their upcoming rematch.

Match Results

Vito DeFazio kicked off the show, coming down to the ring for an opening match. The portly Italian looked pumped up and hoping to turn fortune in his favor following his return match loss.

DeFazio’s opponent, Pit Viper, came down to the ring next. Pit Viper slid into the ring and immediately took his corner, commanding the referee to start the match.

Vito DeFazio vs. Pit Viper

Both men locked up in the ring to start the match. Vito DeFazio took down Pit Viper to the mat and applied a chin lock. DeFazio tried to keep Pit Viper on the mat but it wasn’t long before the smaller and quicker Pit Viper slipped free of DeFazio and started a quick offense, using a flurry of attacks off the ropes. Pit Viper used a back stabber on DeFazio and covered for a victory.

The referee raised Pit Viper’s hand before he left the ring. Vito DeFazio looked frustrated as he left the ring.

Final Solution

Cole Arcane, with Jade by his side, came down to the ring to the applause from fans. He grabbed a microphone and said that he was going to keep things short. Arcane said that Rex Anarchy has been a thorn in his side from the start. After all they have been through, Anarchy just keeps coming back. Arcane said that when Anarchy attacked him outside the ring at the last show during Jade’s match, he realized he had to end this feud once and for all.

Arcane laid it out simply. He said the issue is between Anarchy and himself so in order to make sure it stays that way, Arcane challenged Rex Anarchy to a steel cage match at the next show.

Rex Anarchy’s music began to play and he came out to the aisleway. He said that he will accept Arcane’s challenge but warns Arcane that he has made a terrible mistake. Anarchy said he will leave Arcane a bloody mess in the ring. He said Arcane will be so completely destroyed in the cage that he will be unrecognizable. He told Jade to enjoy caring for Arcane when he becomes a vegetable.

Arcane told Anarchy to talk as much as he wants because it will only make it more fun to shut him up.

Anarchy laughed it off and left for the backstage. Arcane’s music began to play and he and Jade interacted with ringside fans on their way out.

Tension Intensifies

Although their previous encounter ended in a count out victory for Koji Otaka, it was the post-match assault by Mark Blood that made the Japanese star request a rematch. Otaka came down to the ring first, followed by Mark Blood. Blood looked cocky as he entered the ring and mouthed off to Otaka before taking his corner.

Koji Otaka vs. Mark Blood

Mark Blood got ready to lock up in the middle of the ring with Koji Otaka but Otaka had other plans. As he got in close, Otaka booted Blood in the stomach and then quickly picked him up for a powerbomb. Otaka covered for a pin but Blood kicked out. Otaka maintained the offense for the opening minutes of the match.

With a calm and collected demeanor, Otaka methodically attacked Blood with vicious slams and strikes to his back. Blood collapsed to the mat following a heavy blow between the shoulder blades and although Otaka was quick to cover for a pin, Blood managed to kick out.

A clothesline against the ropes sent Mark Blood to the outside of the ring. Blood stumbled toward the aisleway and started retreating to the backstage area, just like his previous match against Otaka. Otaka followed outside the ring and caught up to Blood in the aisle, dragging him back to ringside with cheers from the crowd. Otaka went to roll Blood into the ring but was blocked. Blood then whipped Otaka into the steel steps. Blood, sensing an opportunity, began to assault Otaka with punches before picking him up and crushing him on the floor with a spinebuster. Blood rolled into the ring and the referee continued a count.

Koji Otaka grabbed hold of the ring apron but Blood walked over and stomped on his hand. Blood then climbed back outside the ring and ran Otaka shoulder first into a ring post. Blood rolled Otaka back into the ring and tried for a pin but Otaka kicked out. Blood attacked the shoulder again and went for a shoulder breaker but Otaka slipped free and started to make an offensive comeback.

Koji Otaka tried to pick Blood up for a powerbomb but the damage to his shoulder was too much and Otaka was unable to pick up his opponent. Blood broke free from Otaka and rolled him up for a pin but Otaka kicked out. Blood tried to capitalize but Otaka fought back and succeeded with his second attempt at a powerbomb. Otaka covered for a pin and picked up a victory.

Otaka favored his shoulder as he celebrated his victory. Blood watched Otaka from ringside with a curious look on his face before leaving.

In Search Of An Apology?

Jessie Vega came down to the ring, dressed casually in a t-shirt and jeans. She had a microphone in her hand and waited for the jeers from the crowd to quiet before speaking.

Vega said that she and Maria Estrella were best friends but things have fallen apart. Vega said there have been misunderstandings and she’s been losing sleep over everything that has happened. Vega said she hopes it isn’t too late to patch things up with Estrella. Vega said that Estrella should apologize for not supporting her and instead driving them apart. The crowd booed loudly as Vega looked at them confused. She told the audience that Estrella had good intentions but handled everything wrong and that’s how they got in this situation. The crowd continued to boo her. Vega gave them a moment to settle and then asked for Estrella to come down to ringside.

After a few moments of anticipation, music began to play but it wasn’t Estrella’s. The crowd exploded into cheers as Cate Stiles stepped out into the arena wearing her ring gear. Stiles, who was injured by Jessie Vega several episodes ago, kept Vega in her sights as she slowly and confidently made her way to the ring. Vega stood in the ring biting the corner of her lip. Stiles stepped through the ropes and stared at Vega as the music trailed off. The crowd chanted Stiles’ name loudly.

Vega took a deep breath and held out a hand to signal Stiles to stay back. Vega sounded nervous as she told Stiles that she knew why Stiles came out to the ring. Vega said she has been thinking about Stiles a lot and Vega said she was sorry for injuring her. Stiles only shook her head and stepped closer. The crowd cheered even louder and Vega looked out that them and motioned with her hand to get them to quiet down, which did not help at all. As Stiles got within reach, Vega looked terrified and quickly tried to escape through the ropes. Stiles grabbed Vega and German suplexed her in the ring. Vega tried to slide out of the ring but Stiles grabbed Vega by her ankles and pulled her into the middle of the ring. Stiles tried to get Vega in the ankle lock but Vega slipped free and slid under the ropes, retreating down the aisle. Stiles hopped up a turnbuckle and watched Vega flee to the backstage area. The crowd cheered as Stiles’ music played again before she left the ring.

Multiple Battles, One Title

Witchmere made her way to the ring with Giant Wraith and Grave at her side. The Children of a Dark Dawn looked determined to bring the Valkyrie Championship belt into their grasp. The men held the ropes for Witchmere as she stepped through and into the ring. She directed both of them to stand at ringside as she stood in the ring waiting for the champion to arrive.

RFW Valkyrie Champion Tracy Blood made her way to the ring with her father, Mike Blood, at her side. Mike pledged to stand in her corner and help even the odds against the Children. Tracy kissed her father on the cheek before climbing up into the ring. She handed the referee the title belt and met with Witchmere in the middle of the ring for a prematch staredown while the referee held up the title. Both women took their corners.

RFW Valkyrie Championship Match

Witchmere vs. Tracy Blood (c)

The moment the bell rang, both women came at each other. Witchmere went for a surprise clothesline, Tracy ducked, and nailed Witchmere with a knee in the gut followed by a flurry of jabs and leg kicks. Tracy continued her assault in the early going of the match, building up to some running offense and takedowns. Witchmere was shocked at the champion’s early offense.

Witchmere blocked a clothesline by ducking, grabbing Tracy around the waist and dropping her with a spinebuster. Witchmere began an offense of her own, mostly consisting of attacks to Tracy’s head and neck. Tracy was thrown off the ropes and came out of nowhere with a drop kick on the rebound.

Tracy went for another run off the ropes but Giant Wraith grabbed her leg to trip her. The referee didn’t catch the interference but did see Tracy stumble and warned Giant Wraith. Witchmere capitalized and began wearing down Tracy once again.

Mike Blood came over to Giant Wraith and Grave and got in their faces, warning them about interfering. Grave laughed him off and shoved him. Mike loosened his tie and tossed it on the ground. He removed his jacket and then got back in their faces. That is when things got ugly. As Mike approached them again, Giant Wraith grabbed hold of him. Mike pushed away and clubbed the giant with fists. Giant Wraith blocked while taking a step back but the numbers game worked against Mike. Grave clotheslined Mike Blood to the floor at close proximity. The Children of a Dark Dawn looked down at Mike Blood as he started to get to his feet. Grave picked him up and whipped him into the steel steps. Before he could recover, Giant Wraith picked him up, dragged him over to the announce table, and drove him through it with a chokeslam.

Back in the ring, Tracy Blood was taking a beating. She saw her father go through the table but was unable to do anything about it as Witchmere continued her offense. Witchmere looked to have the champion in position for a head vice submission but Tracy was able to squirm out of it  and rolled out of the ring. Tracy went over to her father, who was slowly moving in the mess of papers and wood from the table. Witchmere followed outside and threw Tracy into a guardrail. She began stomping on the champion on the floor before picking her up and rolling her back into the ring.

Witchmere stalked Tracy Blood in the ring, almost playing with her. Witchmere stomped on the champion, waited for her to get to her knees, and stomped again. As Witchmere leaned down to pick her up, Tracy rolled her up with a small package. Witchmere kicked out but Tracy used the moment to recover, get to the ropes, and pull herself up. Witchmere came at Tracy and was back body dropped over the ropes to the outside.

While Witchmere recovered and the Children at her side to get her to her feet, Tracy climbed to the top turnbuckle and body splashed Witchmere. The move sent Giant Wraith and Grave stumbling away, though both stayed on their feet. Tracy stood up and looked at both men. Grave began to approach her but was suddenly spun around and attacked by Mike Blood. Mike hit with several fists before throwing him into a ring post.

Grave’s head smacked the post and he fell to the floor. In the midst of the action outside, Tracy rolled Witchmere back into the ring. Giant Wraith and Mike Blood met once again outside the ring. Mike went for a clothesline but Giant Wraith stayed on his feet, grabbed Mike, and tossed him like a ragdoll across the ringside area.

Back inside the ring, Tracy got Witchmere in position for a head kick but caught Giant Wraith getting up on the apron. She jumped up on the second rope and bounced off it for a flying head kick to Giant Wraith. The big man took the shot to the temple, and fell to the floor below.

Before Tracy could regroup, Witchmere grabbed her from behind with a head vice. Tracy tried to pry Witchmere’s hands off of her head but it wasn’t working. In a moment of desperation, Tracy dropped herself down on the mat but pulled Witchmere’s chin to the back of her head. Witchmere’s chin cracked off of Tracy’s skull and she let go of the hold, stumbling backward. Tracy Blood quickly stood up, took aim, and hit Witchmere in the face with a head kick. Witchmere fell to the mat, Tracy covered for the pin, and successfully defended the Valkyrie Championship.

As soon as the bell rang, Tracy rolled out of the ring to tend to her father. He gave her a sign that he was ok and she helped him to his feet. He encouraged her to climb into the ring to celebrate the victory. After getting her arm raised by the referee, she invited Mike into the ring. He raised her arm and placed the championship belt over her shoulder. The Bloods celebrated in the ring. The Children of a Dark Dawn quietly retreated.

“Rebel Yell” With Jim Rogers

Jim “The Rebel” Rogers here for one final Rebel Yell. Before I address that, a few thoughts on this episode of RFW.

Tracy Blood put up a great fight in a successful title defense against Witchmere. There were a lot of antics outside the ring but both Witchmere and Tracy put on a great championship match on their own. The challenger showed great tenacity in her pursuit of the title and the champion showed a lot of heart.

So glad to see Cate Stiles back. I knew from the beginning she was something special and I know big things are coming from her in the future. Having one of the biggest names in RFW back in the game is huge.

It sounds like Cole Arcane and Rex Anarchy are looking to finish each other off once and for all. I think this will be one of the more brutal fights in RFW. I’m looking forward to this one for sure.

As you’ve probably heard, I am leaving Rapid Fire Wrestling. When I sold the company to Mr. Sunderland, I agreed to stick around to aid in the transition. At this point, I think that transition has completed successfully and Sunderland’s vision of the future is here. I am very proud to have been able to bring RFW to the world and I will continue to cheer it on as a fan. I want to thank all the fans for their support of RFW, even during its

hiatus, and encourage you to continue to support it going forward. I know the gang at RFW have great things planned for you.

As for what’s next for me, we’ll see. I’ve got some ideas. And who knows, maybe I’ll show up at a future RFW show to say hi!

Thanks again for your support. See you again soon.
