Dan Masters Joins RFW
After a shocking appearance during the Mark Blood/Koji Otaka match at “Grudge Night” it was announced that Dan Masters has joined the Rapid Fire Wrestling roster. Trained in Mike Blood’s wrestling school, Masters debuted in New Revolution Wrestling League but spent majority of the last decade wrestling in Japan. His rivalry with Koji Otaka is legendary and now that he has arrived in RFW, it appears that rivalry will continue.
RFW Stars Make Appearance In HAW
Though they may call RFW their home, “Badlands” Bill Stanton and Cole Arcane surprised everyone earlier this week when they appeared in a six man battle royal for Hazardous Awesome Wrestling. The appearances were made possible because of a partnership between RFW and HAW.
“Any opportunity to work with other wrestling companies to do cross promotion helps everyone involved,” said RFW President C.W. Sunderland. “Having Bill and Cole in an HAW match will spread awareness of the RFW brand and likewise this will get our audience interested in what HAW is doing.”
Sunderland said he hopes to do more cross promotion in the future.

Paul from Chicago asks:
“I’ve been enjoying the new RFW issues but was curious about interviews. Since Jade is no longer doing them, who is?”
Thanks for the question, Paul. Since Jade has changed roles within the company, interviews are now being handled by newcomer Monica Stone. While you aren’t familiar with her just yet, you can look forward to getting to know her as we utilize her more at our shows.
Mindy from Sacramento asks:
“I wanted to know who is Cole Arcane’s dream opponent?”
Wow, great question Mindy! Cole Arcane shared his thoughts on who his dream opponent would be.
“That’s an easy one. It would have to be my all-time favorite wrestler, WarHead. I followed his whole career growing up. Not a lot of guys who accomplished as much as he did. Talk about a dream opponent? That would be the ultimate.”
Match Results
The action began with a women’s division match between Mysterie and Witchmere. Both women are no strangers to each other having had altercations in the earliest days of RFW. Mysterie came down to the ring first. She was full of energy as she climbed onto the ring apron and flipped over the top rope. She posed for the crowd and pumped them up.
Witchmere came out next with the other members of Children of a Dark Dawn, Grave and Giant Wraith, flanking her on both sides. She climbed up the ring steps as her stood on each side, gazing up at her. She climbed into the ring and demanded the referee begin the match immediately.
Mysterie vs. Witchmere
Witchmere was in control from the moment the bell rang as she charged out of the corner with a boot that caught Mysterie off guard. Mysterie was dominated early on by Witchmere’s attacks, keeping the high flyer from getting traction. Mysterie found an opening late in the match and started to make a comeback with dazzling high speed offense, Witchmere powered out of a pin attempt late in the match and quickly recovered, using the Head Vice to force Mysterie into submission.
After Witchmere’s hand was raised a the victor, Grave brought her a microphone as he and Giant Wraith stood behind her. She said, “we’re coming for you, champ” before dropping the microphone and leaving, hinting that Witchmere may be looking for another opportunity to capture the Valkyrie Championship.
A Little Motivation
RFW President C.W. Sunderland came down to the ring. He thanked everyone for coming to the show and asked if everyone was having a good time. The audience cheered. Sunderland recapped an interaction he had with Vito DeFazio when DeFazio came to the ring to announce he was quitting. Sunderland said he felt that was a mistake and asked DeFazio to come here tonight. Sunderland asked DeFazio to come out.
Vito DeFazio came down to the ring. He looked tired and depressed. Sunderland told DeFazio that he sees something in him that is just under the surface and given the right motivation it can make DeFazio a big name in RFW. DeFazio doubted Sunderland but asked what he had in mind. Sunderland said he feels that DeFazio needs a mentor. He needs someone who can help him improve his life, his work ethic, and make him find the confidence within himself. Sunderland asked DeFazio if he would be willing to give this arrangement a try. DeFazio cautiously said yes. Sunderland told everyone to give a warm welcome to Vito DeFazio’s new mentor, NRWL legend, Hardworkin’ Dave Smith!
The audience exploded into cheers as Hardworkin’ Dave Smith came down to the ring wearing his iconic baseball cap, flannel shirt, jeans, and work boots. Smith looked thrilled to be back in front of an audience as he made his way to the ring, slapping hands with the audience. Vito DeFazio looked shocked but excited to meet his new mentor. Smith climbed into the ring and immediately walked up to DeFazio, giving him a strong handshake and a slap on the back so hard, it made the portly Italian stumble forward. Sunderland handed Smith his microphone and left the ring.
Hardworkin’ Dave Smith said it was great to be back in front of a wrestling audience. He said when Mr. Sunderland asked him about coming into RFW to help Vito DeFazio, he didn’t hesitate to say yes. Smith then directed his attention to DeFazio. He told DeFazio that he sees a bright future for him but they will need to put in the hard work to make some changes in his life. He said they will begin immediately. DeFazio looked excited and energized. Both men left the ring and interacted with the audience on the way backstage.
Championship Goals
Rex Anarchy came out to the ring with Pit Viper. Anarchy was dressed in jeans and a leather jacket and was armed with a microphone. Both men climbed through the ropes and looked menacing as they stood there waiting for the jeers from the crowd to die down.
Anarchy said that he and Pit Viper have proven that they are the dominant force in the wrestling world. He said that no man, no steel cage, no maniacs with weapons, can stop them. Anarchy said that they are going to run roughshod over everyone on the RFW roster. He then said that they will be closely watching the RFW Titan Championship match later in the show. Anarchy said that he is coming to claim that title, no matter who wins. Anarchy tossed the microphone out of the ring and left with Pit Viper.
A Legendary Feud Continues
With Dan Masters coming to RFW and helping Mark Blood defeat Koji Otaka, Otaka was out for revenge. Otaka and Masters’ history goes back to the earlier days of their careers in Japan and it doesn’t look like that rivalry is ending any time soon.
Otaka came down to the ring and grabbed a microphone. Through broken English, Otaka made his intentions clear. He wanted Dan Masters in a match immediately. Dan Masters answered the challenge and came down to the ring. Mark Blood, dressed in casual jeans and a hoodie, followed Masters to the ring. Otaka didn’t seem phased by having Blood at ringside. Masters climbed through the ropes, shook his head and smiled as he pointed at Otaka and taunted him.
Both men took their corners and waited for the bell to ring.
Koji Otaka vs. Dan Masters w/ Mark Blood
Both men locked up in the middle of the ring but it was Otaka’s fury that gave him the early advantage in the match, exploding with power moves. Masters knew his old rival too well, however, and it wasn’t long before he evened the odds and starting adding offense of his own. The match went back and forth several times with Masters relying on technical holds and calculated slams and suplexes while Otaka used power moves and hard hitting strikes.
Otaka built a late match offensive sequence and was ready to use the dragon suplex on Masters when Mark Blood rushed into the ring and attacked him. The referee called for the bell giving Otaka a win by disqualification but he had no time to celebrate as Masters and Blood pounded on him in the middle of the ring. As things looked bad for Otaka, Shawn Roberts’ music began to play. Roberts, who was injured by Mark Blood at RFW Episode 7, ran down to the ring and made the save for Otaka. Roberts nailed Masters with an enziguri and then went after Blood, who quickly backed off and rolled out of the ring. Blood reached for Masters and pulled him out of the ring. He and Masters escaped back down the aisle looking shocked to see Roberts standing next to Otaka in the ring. Roberts and Otaka stood on turnbuckles and taunted Masters and Blood who retreated, wanting nothing to do with their rivals.
Sharp Words For The Valkyrie Champion
Monica Stone stood in the ring and introduced the number one contender for Tracy Blood’s Valkyrie Championship, Annika. Annika came down to the ring in black jeans, boots, and an Alice In Chains t-shirt.
Stone congratulated Annika on becoming number one contender. She asked Annika how she is preparing for the upcoming match. Annika, clearly annoyed by the question, said she’s training every day and asked Stone what she expected the answer to be. Stone was caught offguard by the response and before she could reply, Annika pulled the microphone close and said she is working hard to get ready for this match and it is no different than anything else she’s ever done in her life. Annika said she has had to claw and fight for everything she has ever had in life. She said that this is the exact opposite of Tracy Blood who has earned nothing. When Stone asked how she could say that about someone who is a world champion, Annika laughed and said that Tracy didn’t earn the championship. She was inserted into the championship match at the last minute because of her family’s reputation and she has kept that title because of help from “daddy”. Annika said she had a message for Tracy Blood, “enjoy your final days as champion.”
Battered and Bruised
Cate Stiles came down to the ring wearing her ring gear. Her arm was bandaged up because of damage done by Jessie Vega in their match at the previous show. She got in the ring and grabbed a microphone. Stiles said that Vega is incredibly stupid. She admitted that Vega defeated her clean in the ring at the last show and it should have ended there. Instead, Vega attacked her after the match. Stiles said if Jessie Vega wants to make things really ugly, she is willing to go there.
Jessie Vega’s music began to play and she limped down to the ring in a t-shirt, cutoff shorts, and sneakers. Her right ankle was taped heavily as she was also still feeling the effects of their previous encounter. Vega told Stiles that she intended to finish her off once and for all because that’s what she deserves. Vega said Stiles thinks she owns the place and Vega intends to prove otherwise. Stiles scoffed and said that Vega is just an insecure little bitch. Vega was very offended and said she is going to regret that remark. Stiles told her to bring it.
As both women were about to fight, C.W. Sunderland came out. He looked flustered as he climbed into the ring. Sunderland looked at both women and said they look like a complete mess. He said he can’t allow either one to wrestle in their condition. Stiles and Vega both tried to protest and began to argue with each other again. Sunderland cut them off and appeared to be very irritated. He said if they are so determined to tear each other apart, he will put them in a submission match at the next show, assuming they are medically cleared. He asked if that is what they want. Both women said yes. Sunderland said fine, it is official.
Maria Estrella’s music began to play and she came down to the ring. Estrella pleaded with Sunderland to reconsider the match. He said no. Vega told Estrella to stay out of their business. Stiles remarked to Vega that if Estrella had minded her own business at the last show, Vega would be home with another broken ankle. Estrella cited that very comment as a reason that the match shouldn’t happen because they will kill each other. Sunderland said that if Estrella cares so much about everyone’s wellbeing, she will be the special referee for the match. Estrella looked mortified and Stiles and Vega both looked very angry at the turn of events. Sunderland walked out, looking uncharacteristically frustrated. Stiles glared at Estrella as she left. Vega and Estrella had some inaudible words before Vega left the ring. Maria Estrella stood in the ring alone coming to terms with the situation she put herself in.
Reclaiming The Kingdom
With intentions to reclaim the RFW Titan Championship he lost to Jax Rivers, King Donovan made his way to the ring for the main event rematch. Donovan entered the arena wearing his regal cape. He stepped through the ropes and stood triumphantly in the middle of the ring as a spotlight shone down on him. One of his servants entered the ring and removed the cape, retreating to the back with it. King Donovan looked eager to start the match.
Jax Rivers’ music hit and the crowd cheered as the RFW Titan Champion came down to the ring. He climbed through the ropes and stood up on a turnbuckle while holding the title belt over his head. He handed the belt to the referee and stood in the middle of the ring as he stared at King Donovan. Donovan threw an insult at Rivers. Both men took their corner and waited for the bell.
RFW Titan Championship Match King Donovan vs. Jax Rivers (c)
A highly competitive bout from the start, King Donovan looked determined to regain the Titan Championship by coming out strong on the offense. Rivers, not willing to lose the title so easily, was resilient and picked himself over and over as Donovan laid in the damage with slams and tosses. Rivers found a way to stop the onslaught and brought a series of impressive dropkicks and clotheslines off the ropes before bringing things down to a slower pace with submission holds.
Donovan was struggling to break Rivers’ momentum. Rivers continued to wear down the former champion and even went for a flapjack to finish the match early but Donovan kicked out of a pin.
Rivers continued his attack, going for more attacks off the ropes. Donovan was able to catch Rivers during one of the rebounds off the ropes and crushed him into the mat with a spinebuster. From there, King Donovan showed the audience why he won the Titan Championship in the first place. In an impressive sequence of moves, Donovan crushed the champion with power slams, suplexes, and a gorilla press that sent Rivers over the top rope to the floor below.
Donovan followed Rivers outside the ring and threw him into the guardrail. Donovan reached under the ring and grabbed a steel chair. Because RFW’s rules allow the use of weapons outside the ring, Donovan used the chair to great effect, jabbing it into the gut of Rivers before slamming it down hard across the champion’s chest several times. Donovan then picked up Rivers and used a Full Nelson slam onto the chair. Things looked back for the champion as King Donovan rolled him into the ring. Donovan went for a pin but Rivers kicked out at the very last second. Donovan was stunned and argued with the referee about a slow count. When Donovan turned around to go after Rivers again, the champion used a small package and nearly got a pinfall of his own. Donovan kicked out, picked up Rivers, and threw him into the ropes. Donovan went to catch Rivers on the rebound but was caught with a drop kick instead. Rivers dug deep and started to make a comeback. Though the effects of the steel chair earlier in the match were still showing on him, Rivers was able to wear Donovan down. Rivers went for a second flapjack but Donovan avoided it and took the champion down with a big boot. Donovan ran off the ropes and tried for a clothesline as Rivers was standing back up. As Donovan go close, Rivers pulled off a flapjack out of desperation, dropping Donovan to the mat. Rivers quickly covered and secured a pinfall victory.
After the bell, King Donovan rolled out of the ring and slammed his hands on the apron in frustration. Jax Rivers was declared the winner and had his hand raised. As he was handed the Titan Championship belt and raised it above his head in celebration, King Donovan ran back into the ring and came up from behind Rivers. He grabbed Rivers in a Full Nelson and slammed him down to the mat with the Full Nelson slam. Donovan then left the ring, leaving the champion motionless in the ring.
After Donovan left through the curtain, Rex Anarchy’s music began to play. Anarchy came down to the ring with Pit Viper. They slid into the ring and circled around the champion who was still incapacitated on the mat. As Anarchy went to reach for the title belt, the lights went out. After several seconds of darkness and confusion, the lights returned and the Children of a Dark Dawn were standing in the ring as well. Anarchy and Pit Viper stood on one side of Jax Rivers’ body. Witchmere, Grave, and Giant Wraith on the other. They all stared at each other for a long while. The crowd was going nuts as they reacted to the confusion and excitement in the ring. Grave stepped in front of his teammates and reached down for the Titan Championship belt. Rex Anarchy reached down to grab the other end of the belt and both men held it in a tug of war with the belt’s owner laying underneath it. Anarchy argued with the Children to step down. No one was budging. Finally, both Rex Anarchy and Grave let go of the belt, leaving it on the champion. Both sides slowly backed away from each other. Witchmere yelled to Anarchy that it was the Children’s time. Anarchy only shook his head and confidently pointed a thumb at himself.
Both groups cautiously left the ring, never taking their eyes off of each other as the Children went back down the entrance aisle and Anarchy and Pit Viper slipped through the crowd.
