Mysterie came down to the ring with high energy, pumping up the crowd on her way to the ring. Mysterie’s pink and blue streaked hair matched her wrestling top and tights as well as her Mardi Gras-inspired luchador mask.
Annika vs. Mysterie
Both women locked up in the middle of the ring. Mysterie initially got the best of Annika, whipping her off the ropes and using some flashy drop kicks and slams. It wasn’t long before Annika found an opportunity, blocking a clothesline and using a Judo throw to take Mysterie down to the mat. Annika focused on keeping Mysterie grounded, slowing things down with holds and submissions. Mysterie broke free and started another offensive build. After a near fall following a hurricanrana, Annika exploded with a flurry of slams, clotheslines, and a brutal shoulder breaker. Annika wore down Mysterie’s arm before applying an armbar submission. Mysterie was forced to surrender, giving Annika a victory.
A Hard Hitting Fight
Killer Malone came down to the ring for the next match. He fixed the tape on his hands as he stood in the middle of the ring waiting for his opponent. Cole Arcane’s music began to play and he came down to the ring with Jade by his side. He climbed in the ring and hyped up the crowd before focusing his attention on Malone. The two shared a few verbal barbs in the middle of the ring before taking their corners.
Killer Malone vs. Cole Arcane w/ Jade
The action was intense from the start with an aggressive lockup in the middle of the ring as both men pushed back and forth to jockey for position. Killer Malone thought he had control of the match but Cole Arcane surprised him early on by countering an atomic drop with a bulldog and taking full advantage of the situation.
Arcane relied on clotheslines, body slams, and attacks in the turnbuckle corners, keeping Malone under his control and wore the veteran down. Arcane tried to end the match early by going for a running bulldog but Malone was able to lift Arcane and toss him right over the ropes to the floor. Malone followed outside and stalked his opponent. He slammed Arcane on the floor mats, then pulled a mat up, exposing the concrete floor. Malone body slammed Arcane on the concrete and then climbed into the ring, demanding the referee to count Arcane out. Arcane was slow to move but managed to get back into the ring before the count out.
Malone continued his attack, wearing down an already weakened Cole Arcane. Killer Malone sized up Arcane and went for this Knockout Punch finisher but Arcane managed to see it coming and ducked. Arcane followed up with a suplex and a pin but Malone kicked out. Arcane went on the offensive again. He hit a big double arm DDT and went for another pin. Malone barely kicked out. As Killer Malone was declared the winner and had his hand raised, Jade climbed into the ring. Malone was surprised when Jade began to come on to him, showing her affection for the man who defeated her boyfriend. As he was distracted by Jade’s advances, Cole Arcane stood up and grabbed Malone by the shoulder. He spun Malone around and began arguing with him. Out of nowhere, Jade kicked Arcane square in the crotch causing him to collapse to the mat. Killer Malone began to laugh and held out his hand to Jade. She took his hand and they left the ring together. As they walked backstage, Jade took a look back at Cole Arcane who stared back, devastated by the betrayal.
A Hero’s Welcome
Mark Blood and Dan Masters came down to the ring for tag team action against Koji Otaka and the returning Shawn Roberts. Roberts returned from injury to even the odds in the war between Otaka and the team of Blood and Masters.
Both men stood in the ring waiting for their opponents. The crowd cheered as Koji Otaka’s music began to play and he came out alone. Otaka made his way down the aisle and stopped at the ring apron as his music stopped. He turned to look behind him. The crowd began cheering in anticipation and exploded into applause as Shawn Roberts music began to play and he ran out to the arena from behind the curtain. He walked down to the ring slapping hands with the audience at ringside. He caught up with Otaka outside the ring. They exchanged fist bumps and then slid into the ring. Roberts looked around the arena and bowed in respect to the fans. He and Otaka took their corner and waited for the match to begin.
Mark Blood and Dan Masters vs. Shawn Roberts and Koji Otaka
Shawn Roberts started things off with Mark Blood. Both men circled around the ring, building anticipation before locking up. Blood, playing mind games, tagged in Dan Masters instead, causing the audience to boo loudly. Blood smirked and traded places with Masters who locked up with Roberts. Roberts got off to a good start, throwing Masters into the ropes and using fast attacks on the rebound. He began to slow things down with some rest holds, mostly working on Masters’ arms and shoulders.
Dan Masters gained control the match after catching Roberts on a rebound off the ropes and then immediately going after Roberts’ previously injured neck. It was a rough go for Roberts as he was kept away from Koji Otaka. Masters and Mark Blood used frequent tags and double team moves to keep Roberts in their half of the ring. At one point, Blood appeared to be playing with Roberts, taunting him and stomping on him. He began calling moves out loud and then using them on Roberts. His cocky attitude got the best of him, however, as Roberts used an opportunity where he was being taunted to surprise Blood with a small package. Blood kicked out and quickly got to his feet but Roberts grabbed him and hit a big DDT. Roberts made the tag to Koji Otaka who rushed into the ring with the sound of cheers behind him and leveled Mark Blood with a high impact clothesline followed by some brutal suplexes. Otaka looked over at his old nemesis, Dan Masters, and beckoned him to enter the ring. Otaka threw Blood into the corner with Masters. Masters hesitated for a moment but then slapped Blood on the shoulder, tagging himself in.
Koji Otaka and Dan Masters began to pummel each other with punches. Masters turned the tide by slipping a thumb to Otaka’s eye. The Japanese star stumbled backward as he covered his face and Masters quickly followed up with an offense of suplexes before slowing things down with submission holds, even using Otaka’s octopus hold submission against him. Otaka managed to power out of the octopus hold and tagged in Roberts who went to work on Masters.
Dan Masters looked to be in trouble but was able to find a break and get a tag to Mark Blood.
Blood was full of fire as he charged at Shawn Roberts. Roberts ducked a clothesline, ran off the ropes and hit Blood with a drop kick. Roberts followed up with a flurry of offense, finishing with a pumphandle suplex. Roberts hopped out of the ring to the apron. He sized up Blood and hit with a springboard splash. Roberts covered for a pin and nabbed a big victory on his return to RFW.
After the bell, Roberts and Otaka celebrated in the ring. Roberts thanked the audience, bowing in the ring. Both men left the ring and slapped hands with the audience on their way backstage.
Valkyrie Champion In Action
In preparation for her upcoming title defense against Annika, RFW Valkyrie Champion Tracy Blood was in action in a non-title match against Yurei. Yurei came down to the ring first, looking hungry to pull out an upset victory against the champion.
Tracy Blood came down to the ring next. She climbed into the ring and hyped up the fans. She removed the Valkyrie Championship and held it over her head before handing it to the referee. She took her corner and waited for the bell.
Yurei vs. Tracy Blood
After a tie up in the middle of the ring, Yurei threw the champion into the ropes and nailed the champion with a big lariat to start the match with a bang. Yurei relied on her strength advantage to wear down the champion and kept her grounded on the mat. Yurei focused on submission moves to Blood’s legs, keeping the martial artist from using her dangerous kicks as offense.
Blood managed to slip free of the holds and began to use her kicks on Yurei’s midsection before shifting into a submission wrestling style of her own. Blood wore down Yurei with an abdominal stretch. Yurei broke the hold but Blood stayed on her, keeping on offense. Yurei was thrown into he ropes but dodged a spin kick by Blood and quickly grabbed the champion from behind, lifted her up and dropped her back down with a shin breaker. Yurei began attacking with a stronger offense, using more power moves and focusing more of her attacks on Blood’s back. Yurei started building strong momentum. She got several near falls on the champion. Yurei put Blood in a camel clutch. The champion tried to reach for a rope with her hands and feet to break the hold but was nowhere close enough. In a move of desperation, Blood managed to twist herself just enough to be able to drag her knees up to her stomach and use her legs to push Yurei up and off of her.
Although she broke the hold, Tracy Blood was unable to follow up and regain control of the match. Yurei continued to attack the champion. After an Irish Whip into the corner, Yurei sized up Blood for a spear to finish her off. As she ran toward her target, Blood dodged out of the way sending Yurei crashing into the turnbuckle. As Yurei stumbled backward and turned around, Blood hit her with a high head kick. Tracy Blood covered for a pin and picked up a victory.
While celebrating her victory in the ring, Tracy Blood looked toward the entrance aisle and saw Annika standing there, slow clapping with an unimpressed look on her face. Blood stared back and made a hand motion inviting Annika into the ring. The number one contender just smiled and left for the backstage area.
Warzone
Rex Anarchy and Pit Viper made their way to the ring. Anarchy was armed with a microphone and appeared very angry. He said that he made his intentions very clear. He is coming for the Titan Championship and will stop at nothing to get it. He said nobody will stand in his way and then turned his attention to the Children of a Dark Dawn. Anarchy said that “the kids” need to learn their place in RFW and they will be destroyed if they stand in his way.
The Children of a Dark Dawn’s music began to play and they came down the aisle. Witchmere looked crazed as she stood at the ring steps while Giant Wraith and Grave stood at her sides. She climbed the steps. Grave and Giant Wraith looked up at her as if she were a god before following her into the ring.
Witchmere tore the microphone from Rex Anarchy’s hand and began screaming at him, asking him if he knew who he was dealing with. Pit Viper grabbed another microphone and replied that he just sees a couple of freaks who got lost on their way to the carnival. Anarchy laughed at the comment and took the microphone from Pit Viper. Before he could add any input, Witchmere told them both that they had no idea what peril they were putting themselves in by getting in the Children’s way. Anarchy looked at his new rivals and said he isn’t afraid and if he and Pit Viper need to go through them to get to the Titan Championship, they will.
Grave stepped up and stared down Rex Anarchy. Anarchy looked at Pit Viper and both men stepped closer to Grave. Giant Wraith stepped up and all four men stood inches away from each other as the tension built. Witchmere loomed behind her partners, observing with a curious look on her face. Anarchy smirked, started to take a step back and then lunged forward to throw a fist. Grave saw it coming, ducked, and then tackled Anarchy. Pit Viper looked up at the towering Giant Wraith and clubbed him in the chest. Giant Wraith grabbed Pit Viper by the throat and went for a chokeslam but Pit Viper slipped free and managed to take the giant down with a neckbreaker.
On the mat, Grave pummeled Anarchy. Pit Viper came over and pulled Grave off. Grave picked up Pit Viper and body slammed him to the mat. He looked down at Pit Viper for a moment before turning around but it was all the time Rex Anarchy needed to get up and nail Grave with a clothesline. Witchmere slipped out of the ring and watched as her men fought with Anarchy and Pit Viper. Giant Wraith was double clotheslined over the ropes to the floor. Grave was sent through the ropes as well. Rex Anarchy and Pit Viper stood in the ring and looked down at their rivals. As Grave and Giant Wraith collected themselves, Witchmere continued to look at Anarchy and Pit Viper curiously before motioning for the Children of a Dark Dawn to start their way back to the backstage area.
It’s Not Over Until Someone Says ‘I Quit’
Maria Estrella came down to the ring dressed in a referee’s striped shirt. Estrella, the special guest referee, had a lot on her mind heading to the ring. She stepped through the ropes and silently stood in the middle of the ring waiting for the competitors of the match.
Jessie Vega’s music began to play and she came down to the ring. After sliding under the ropes, she posed on a turnbuckle and then looked back at Estrella, pointed to her, and spouted off a warning of some kind. Estrella was stone faced in response.
Cate Stiles music began to play and she walked down to the ring, stood up on the apron and stared at both women before stepping through the ropes. She stalked around the ring as the crowd chanted her name.
Submission Match Jessie Vega vs. Cate Stiles Special Guest Refereee Maria Estrella
Maria Estrella called for the bell to start the match and Cate Stiles and Jessie Vega circled around the ring sizing each other up. They locked up in the middle of the ring and Stiles took early control of the match with holds and submissions, moving from the upper body to focusing on Vega’s legs. Stiles was taken by surprise when Vega escaped from her grasp and came back with a flurry of forearm strikes followed by a double wrist lock. Stiles cried out in pain as Vega wrenched on her bad arm. Vega screamed at Stiles to give up. Stiles reached for the ropes and Estrella called for Vega to break the hold. Vega refused and Estrella took matters into her own hands by pulling Vega off of Stiles.
Vega got in Estrella’s face, scolding her. This was all the time Stiles needed to recover and clip Vega at the knees. Stiles then began a vicious attack on Vega’s weak ankle and leg, wearing her down. Vega sensed she was in trouble and slid out of the ring to get some distance but Stiles climbed out and chased Vega. Vega was favoring her right leg and was unable to outrun Stiles who grabbed her from behind and whipped her into the ringside barricade. Stiles then whipped Vega into the steel steps sending the top steps free from the bottom. Stiles then draped Vega’s leg across the bottom step and drove the top piece down hard on her leg. Vega screamed out and squirmed around on the floor. Maria Estrella climbed out of the ring and kept Stiles away while she checked on Vega. Vega rejected the concern, pushing Estrella back and forcing herself to stand back up by using the ring apron. Stiles came in for another attack but Estrella stood in her way. While Stiles and Estrella argued, Vega pushed Estrella from behind, sending her into Stiles. Stiles fell to the floor with Estrella on top of her. As both women got up, Vega tackled Stiles back down to the floor and started nailing her with punches. Stiles was able to push Vega off. Vega, still having trouble with her injured leg, was slow to get up and Stiles grabbed Vega and slammed her down with a German suplex.
Maria Estrella shoved Stiles and demanded that she get back into the ring. Stiles shoved Estrella back and argued with her but then turned her attention to Vega. She grabbed Vega and rolled her back into the ring. Jessie Vega pushed herself into a corner and pleaded for mercy as Stiles closed in on her. Stiles grabbed Vega by the legs and dragged her into the middle of the ring. Stiles put Vega’s injured leg in the ankle lock. Vega screamed out and scratched at the mat. Estrella looked concerned as she lay on the mat and repeatedly asked Vega if she wanted to submit. Vega grabbed Estrella and used her for leverage, forcing Stiles to stumble forward and break the hold.
Vega stayed on the mat clutching her ankle. Stiles walked over and yanked Vega’s injured ankle back. She untied the boot laces and ripped Vega’s boot off, exposing her bandaged ankle. Stiles kicked Vega behind the knee as she ripped the bandages off. As Cate Stiles once again applied the ankle lock, Vega squirmed and screamed out in pain. Maria Estrella begged Vega to give up, then pleaded with Stiles to stop. Realizing neither woman was going to give in to her requests and fearing the safety of her former friend, Estrella called for the bell and immediately tore Stiles off of Vega. Stiles stepped back and shoved Estrella to the mat. Estrella looked over at the ring announcer with instructions before sliding over to Jessie Vega to check on her. Cate Stiles was declared the winner of the match. Estrella pointed to the aisle way and told Stiles to leave. Cate Stiles stormed out of the ring and past medical staff who came down to check on Jessie Vega.
