Jax Rivers and Cate Stiles On The Road Together Promoting RFW

The number one contenders for RFW’s titles are traveling on the road promoting upcoming RFW events. Jax Rivers and Cate Stiles have been appearing on talk shows and sports networks promoting RFW and their upcoming title matches. Rivers is looking to regain the Titan Championship when he faces Rex Anarchy at RFW 29. Stiles challenges Witchmere at RFW 28 with hopes of capturing the Valkyrie Championship for the first time.

Spotlight: Lords of Chaos

With Rex Anarchy carrying the Titan Championship, Witchmere the Valkyrie Champion, and the crafty Pit Viper watching their backs, the Lords of Chaos are undoubtedly the most dominant force in Rapid Fire Wrestling.

Rex Anarchy walked into RFW as a former world champion and made his presence known immediately. The earliest signs that he was going to form the Lords of Chaos started when he tried to recruit Cole Arcane as his protege. When Arcane refused, it started one of RFW’s first great conflicts. Anarchy pulled Pit Viper into the feud for leverage and the two went on to defeat Arcane and move on to their next target.

The first faction in RFW history, Children of a Dark Dawn, was led by the mysterious

Witchmere. With her cohorts, Giant Wraith and Grave, the Children were on track to take RFW by storm. When they made their championship intentions clear, they got the attention of Rex Anarchy and Pit Viper. Both factions tangled in a feud that ended when Witchmere turned on the Children and sided with Anarchy. That was the formation of Lords of Chaos.

Since forming Lords of Chaos, Rex Anarchy captured the Titan Championship from Jax Rivers. Witchmere destroyed Tracy Blood in a violent onslaught to become the Valkyrie Champion. Since becoming champions, the Lords of Chaos have worked closer than ever, doing whatever is necessary to keep a stranglehold on RFW’s top prizes.

Cate Stiles is coming for Witchmere in her quest to win the Valkyrie Championship at RFW 28. At RFW 30, Jax Rivers gets his chance to recapture the Titan Championship. The Lords of Chaos will be ready.

Show Recap

Annika vs. Aurora Starkey

The show kicked off with a match that came spring-loaded. After being verbally dressed down by Aurora Starkey, Annika was looking to silence the cocky star in the middle of the ring. Annika tried to get offense in early but Starkey quickly blocked her and turned the early minutes of the match in her favor. Starkey rocked Annika with powerful slams, suplexes, and throws. Starkey kept Annika grounded with some submission holds but that strategy worked against her. Annika’s Judo background was instrumental in countering the holds and it helped Annika fight back into the match.

Annika tore at Starkey’s arm, weakening it with forearm strikes, kicks, and submissions. She went for her armbreaker submission but Starkey squirmed free before it could be locked in. Annika kept on the attack, throwing Starkey down each time she tried to get up. Annika went back after the injured arm and went to drag Starkey down for another armbreaker. Starkey blocked and started a late match comeback. After slamming Annika to the mat with a powerbomb, Aurora Starkey covered for a pin to win the match.

Following the match, Starkey added insult to injury and roughed up Annika before tearing off her Green Day t-shirt, stripping her down to her bra. Starkey grabbed a microphone and told Annika that she is a failure as a wrestler before leaving the ring.

Destruction of Max

Monica Stone invited King Donovan down to the ring to discuss his upcoming match with Max Destruction. Donovan was pleased to hear that Max accepted his challenge. When Stone asked if he had any reservations about stepping into the ring with one of the greatest fighters of all time, Donovan sneered and said that Max Destruction is a has been and it is Max who should be concerned about the match he just accepted. Donovan promised to put Max Destruction in his place and send him into history as a sad memory.

Yurei vs. Tracy Blood

Looking to rebound since losing the Valkyrie Championship at RFW 20, Tracy Blood came out strong against Yurei in the opening minutes, focusing on a strike-heavy offense. Blood took Yurei down to the mat and started wearing down the Japanese star’s back. Yurei was able to power out of Blood’s ground game and started utilizing her strength to change the direction of the match.

After a punishing assault by Yurei, Tracy Blood was in position for a spear. As Yurei charged in, Blood dodged, grabbed her from behind, and drove her into the turnbuckle post shoulder-first. This allowed Blood to get the opening needed for a comeback. Blood had Yurei in position for a head kick to finish her off but Yurei ducked the kick, grabbed Blood around the waist and drove her to the mat with a vicious suplex. Blood stood up but was unable to see Yurei charging at her in time and got leveled with a spear. Yurei covered for a pin to win a hard fought match.

Yurei celebrated her win while Tracy Blood looked distraught as she walked away.

Vito Questions Himself

To say Vito DeFazio hasn’t had a successful run in RFW is an understatement. Despite being a part of RFW from day one, DeFazio has yet to win a match. Although he has shown improvement under the tutelage of wrestling legend, Hardworkin’ Dave Smith, DeFazio is still looking for that first big win of his career.

Vito DeFazio and Dave Smith came down to the ring and DeFazio immediately grabbed a microphone. He told the audience that he did not come out to wrestle a match, which took Smith by surprise. Instead, DeFazio had a message for everyone. He felt that he has tried his best but nothing has worked. He said he wouldn’t be surprised if RFW let him go soon. DeFazio turned to Smith to thank him for all of his help but said it is just a waste of time. DeFazio said maybe he should save everyone in RFW the trouble and leave on his own.

Hardworkin’ Dave Smith encouraged DeFazio to continue and stressed that he has made strides in his training. Smith said he knows DeFazio’s first win is just around the corner and not to lose hope. Before he could say anything else, Andre Jordan came down to the ring to interrupt.

Jordan scolded Smith for giving DeFazio false hope and said that he agreed DeFazio should just give it up. Jordan suggested that everyone look at himself as a wrestler who can be a success in RFW, not a short and squat dreamer like DeFazio. Smith defended DeFazio’s hard work. Jordan then said he was going to do DeFazio a favor. Jordan suddenly shoved DeFazio to the mat and then struck Smith with several punches before body slamming him. As Smith started to get up, Jordan grabbed him and drove him to the mat with vicious piledriver.

Vito DeFazio ran at Andre Jordan, who bailed out of the ring and escaped back up the aisle as referee and medical personnel rushed to the ring to check on Hardworkin’ Dave Smith. Smith was motionless in the ring and DeFazio looked on in horror as he was attended to. As Smith was strapped to a backboard and taken out of the arena, DeFazio picked up his iconic trucker’s cap from the mat and stared at it before slowly putting it on his own head.

JT Crusher vs. Cole Arcane

Cole Arcane stepped into the ring with JT Crusher, a man that has quickly made his presence felt since joining RFW. In a hard fought match between both men, Arcane came out strong, surprising his larger opponent with a fast and furious offense. Crusher turned things around in his favor by flattening Arcane with a powerslam. Arcane was thrown into a corner and crushed with a running clothesline. Crusher went to finish the match with a big boot but Arcane ducked and quickly went for a school boy pin. Crusher kicked out but Arcane kept on the attack.

After a solid push by Cole Arcane to subdue JT Crusher, he looked to have a victory in his sight. Arcane dragged Crusher to a corner and prepared him for a running bulldog. As soon as he planted Crusher to the mat, Mark Blood dove into the ring. Blood, angry that Arcane prevented him from winning the main event at the previous show, was out for revenge and nailed Arcane with a clothesline before tackling him and laying in some punches. The referee called for the bell and awarded Arcane the win by disqualification.

Mark Blood wanted to send a message to Cole Arcane and smashed a chair over the back of his enemy several times before leaving the ring area.

Regaining The Title

Monica Stone invited Jax Rivers down to the ring for an interview. Rivers became number one contender for the Titan Championship at the last show, giving him another opportunity to regain the title he once held.

Stone asked Rivers if he was ready for his match against champion Rex Anarchy at RFW 30, knowing that his Lords of Chaos teammates would be keeping a close eye. Rivers said he has tried being an honorable wrestler but the Lords of Chaos know no honor. He said a new fire has been lit underneath him and will stop at nothing to become Titan Champion once again. He warned Rex Anarchy that if the Lords of Chaos even dare to get involved, they won’t know what hit them. Rivers sent a simple message to Rex Anarchy; Jax Rivers is coming for him and he won’t be leaving without the Titan Championship around his waist.

RFW Valkyrie Championship Match

Cate Stiles vs. Witchmere (c)

While Rex Anarchy had Jax Rivers to worry about, fellow Lords of Chaos member, Witchmere, was set to defend the Valkyrie Championship against a very hungry Cate Stiles. Witchmere came down to the ring alone in her match but even that felt like a mind game as Stiles appeared to be somewhat distracted as she glanced around looking for the other members of the Lords of Chaos.

Stiles came out strong when the bell rang, locking up with Witchmere and quickly using a technical offense to try and control the match early on. Witchmere, with a strength advantage, prevented that from happening. Witchmere slammed Stiles and pounded on her head in the opening minutes of the match. Stiles was tossed over the top rope to the floor and looked up to see Witchmere standing in the ring, ominously staring at her to get back in through the ropes.

Stiles entered the ring and went right after Witchmere but the champion overpowered her once again. Witchmere used a DDT on Stiles and covered for a pin. Stiles kicked out but was slow to move and react to further attack. Witchmere got ready to use the head vise on Stiles. As Witchmere grabbed Stiles by the head, the challenger quickly pushed free and kicked the champion hard in the side of the knee. Witchmere immediately dropped to the mat. Stiles ran off the ropes and used a springboard dropkick to Witchmere to knock her down on her back. Stiles then began a big rally, pounding on Witchmere’s leg and wearing her down with holds and submissions. Witchmere tried to fight back but Stiles was firmly in control. Following a knee drop to Witchmere’s ankle, Stiles applied the ankle lock submission. Witchmere clawed and scratched at the mat as she screamed in pain. Stiles nearly had the Valkyrie Championship won but Witchmere was able to grasp at the bottom rope, forcing the referee to break the hold.

Cate Stiles held onto the ankle lock for as long as possible until the referee nearly disqualified her. After violently dropping Witchmere’s injured leg to the mat, the referee scolded Stiles for not releasing the hold sooner. As the referee was distracted, Pit Viper of the Lords of Chaos ran down to ringside and slipped something into Witchmere’s hand. The injured champion lay curled up on the mat as Stiles moved toward her. As Stiles reached down to grab Witchmere’s leg, the champion suddenly stuck with a loaded fist. Stiles took the shot to the jaw and collapsed to the mat. Witchmere subtly tossed the foreign object outside the ring. Although she was unable to stand, Witchmere grabbed Stiles’ head from a sitting position and applied the head vise. The referee checked Stiles, who was still out cold, and called for the bell. Witchmere retained the Valkyrie Championship by submission with help from Pit Viper.

Pit Viper and Rex Anarchy jumped into the ring to celebrate with Witchmere, holding her up because she was unable to stand under her own weight. As they left the ring, all three turned back to see Cate Stiles looking up from the mat for the first time and realizing what had happened to her. She glared at Witchmere as the Lords of Chaos taunted her from a safe distance.
