Show Recap

The show kicked off with Aurora Starkey taking on Annika in singles action. Starkey came to the ring with a microphone and talked up how she defeated Annika once before and is about to do it again to prove that Annika should leave RFW and stick to that “karate stuff”.

Annika’s music began to play. She stepped out into the arena and stood in front of the entrance curtain as everyone got a look at her. She was not the same Annika everyone was used to seeing in RFW. Instead, this was the Annika who competed in martial arts tournaments. Trading her grunge-themed t-shirts and cut off jean shorts for a black judo gi, she made a slow walk to the ring, never taking her eyes off of Aurora Starkey. Starkey appeared unsettled but stood her ground in the ring, taunting Annika as she stepped into the ring. Annika tied her hair behind her head and stood in a fighting stance.

Aurora Starkey vs. Annika

Aurora Starkey tried to overpower Annika from the start but was quickly taken off of her feet with takedowns. The early going of the match continued this way leaving Starkey shocked as Annika had an answer for everything she tried. After taking some hard body shots, Starkey retreated to the outside. Annika followed and slammed Starkey’s head into the ring steps. Annika maintained a barrage of strikes causing Starkey to beg for mercy as she sat herself up on the floor. Annika stepped toward Starkey for another attack but Starkey kicked her hard in the shin.

Starkey now went on the assault. She used a shin breaker on Annika’s injured leg and then did further damage by jamming Annika’s leg between the ring steps and ring post. Starkey kick the steps hard, causing Annika to scream out in pain. Starkey stepped back and watched as the referee checked on Annika. Starkey slipped back into the ring and taunted the crowd as she gloated. Annika slowly got to her feet and assured the referee she could continue. She limped to the ring and climbed in.

Aurora Starkey continued to attack Annika’s leg. Starkey taunted Annika, telling her that she isn’t on the same level as somoene like herself. Annika surprised Starkey by pulling her down to the mat and attempting to go for an armbar submission. Starkey pulled free and went for another attack but Annika saw it coming and tried a schoolboy pin. Starkey kicked out.

Starkey got a near fall on Annika following a DDT before trying for a powerbomb. As Starkey lifted Annika, Annika rolled her body sideways, grabbed hold of Starkey’s arm, and pulled her to the mat. Annika held on and wrapped her legs around Starkey’s arm, firmly locking in the armbar submission. Starkey tried in vain to break the hold before being forced to tap out, giving Annika the victory.

Annika celebrated in the ring. Although she limped away, she looked satisfied having put Aurora Starkey in her place.

Triple Threat Match

Cole Arcane vs. Mark Blood vs. JT Crusher

All three men came to the ring ready to fight and that was evident as soon as the bell rang.

Cole Arcane and Mark Blood formed a temporary alliance and quickly subdued JT Crusher. After a double clothesline that sent Crusher over the top rope to the floor, Blood and Arcane stared each other down and started slugging it out. Blood shifted the tone of the match by taking Arcane down to the mat and working on his back with knee strikes and submission holds.

Crusher returned to the ring and attacked Blood from behind. Crusher brutalized Blood with a series of power moves. As Cole Arcane stood up, Crusher turned his attention to Arcane and leveled him with a clothesline. Just like Mark Blood, Arcane was caught in a blast of power slams and throws. After bodyslamming Arcane right on top of Blood, JT Crusher stood tall and held his arms high in the air as the audience booed him. Below him, his opponents struggled to stand back up.

JT Crusher attacked Cole Arcane again but Mark Blood saw him distracted and capitalized. Blood attacked Crusher from behind and took the fight to him. Blood got the boston crab on Crusher who tried to power out of the hold. As Mark Blood struggled to keep the hold on, Cole Arcane ran behind him and dropped him to the mat with a running bulldog. Arcane quickly went for a cover but Blood was too close to the ropes and was able to grab one to break the pin attempt.

Mark Blood and Cole Arcane resumed their fight from earlier in the match. Arcane had momentum on his side and nearly picked up another pin but Blood powered out. After ducking a clothesline, Blood retaliated and took out Arcane with a dropkick. Blood dropped Arcane with a scoop slam followed by a neck breaker. As Arcane tried to get up, Blood picked him up and dropped him down with a tombstone piledriver. Before Blood could go for a pin, he got smashed in the face with a big boot by JT Crusher. Blood fell to the mat while Crusher covered him for the pin. JT Crusher picked up the win by pinfall.

After the match, JT Crusher stood proud in the middle of the ring as the referee raised his hand. Cole Arcane looked dazed on the outside as he held onto the ring apron for balance. Mark Blood looked frustrated as he walked toward the backstage area with his hands on his hips.

Hardworkin’ Vito DeFazio vs. Andre Jordan

Although Hardworkin’ Dave Smith was not at his side, Vito DeFazio marched down to the ring wearing Smith’s signature trucker’s cap and a flannel shirt in tribute. DeFazio tossed the hat out into the crowd where it was caught by a lucky fan. As Andre Jordan came down to the ring, he looked at DeFazio with disgust.

When the bell rang, the audience was firmly behind Vito DeFazio, chanting his name and cheering him on. DeFazio, energized by the fans, locked up with Andre Jordan in the middle of the ring and managed to put up a strong offense in the opening moments of the match. It wasn’t long before Jordan found an opening and reversed course. Jordan dominated DeFazio with some quick chain wrestling before shifting into some suplexes and slams. Jordan covered DeFazio for a pin but showed arrogance by pulling DeFazio up off the mat before the three count. Jordan appeared to be playing with DeFazio, slamming him and lazily watching as DeFazio struggled to get up.

After a Samoan drop drove him into the mat, Vito DeFazio felt around the mat for something to use as leverage to help him stand. What he found were Andre Jordan’s boots. DeFazio looked up as he got to his knees. He looked beat up but there was still fire in his eyes. Jordan yelled at DeFazio, telling him that he has been a waste of space in RFW. He said DeFazio has been a waste of his own time. Then, Jordan said that DeFazio has been a waste of Dave Smith’s time and a total disappointment. With that statement, DeFazio dug deep and pulled himself up to his feet. He stared down Jordan who smirked and slapped DeFazio hard across the face. DeFazio quickly recoiled and shoved Jordan back against a turnbuckle corner.

Andre Jordan was shocked and realized he had taken things too far. Jordan tried to calm the situation but Vito DeFazio blasted him with a series of fists before sending him into the ropes with an Irish whip. DeFazio tossed Jordan with a back body drop. From here, Vito DeFazio showed an offense that no one had ever seen from him before. Jordan was helpless as DeFazio came at him hard and fast. After a series of clotheslines, DeFazio ran off the ropes and hit a big body splash on Jordan in the middle of the ring. DeFazio covered Jordan for a pin and picked up his first victory in RFW.

The crowd exploded in cheers as Vito DeFazio leapt to his feet and looked down at Andre Jordan with a look of total shock at what he had just pulled off. The referee raised his hand and DeFazio couldn’t hide a huge grin. He jumped out of the ring and started celebrating with the fans at ringside. Andre Jordan sat in the middle of the ring looking horrified.

King Donovan vs. Max Destruction

Wrestling royalty met wrestling legend when King Donovan finally got his wish and stepped into the ring with Max Destruction. Donovan entered the ring first and looked eager for his opponent to show up. When Max Destruction’s music began to play the audience stood up and cheered loudly. Max stepped out into the arena to a hero’s welcome. He looked to be in great shape as he headed to the ring with a look of determination. Once in the ring, Max and Donovan stared each other down intensely before the bell rang.

Once the match started, both men stood in the middle of the ring and shared some words before Donovan smirked and slugged Max hard in the jaw. Max stumbled back and looked at him incredulously. His face turned to fury and the former boxer began slugging Donovan. Donovan hit back and the match turned into a vicious frenzy of punches. Donovan held his own for a moment but Max’s experience in striking gave him the upper hand. Max blasted Donovan with a combo that sent him falling through the ropes to the ring apron. Donovan rolled out to the floor and gathered himself before coming back into the ring.

The breather outside the ring didn’t help King Donovan. Max Destruction kept on the offense, transitioning hard strikes into power moves. As he wore down Donovan, Max fed off the adrenaline and kicked into higher gear. Donovan couldn’t get any offense in as Max thundered blows onto him and slammed him to the mat. Max tried for a powerbomb but Donovan was able to pull himself back down and back body dropped Max. Donovan started his first real offense, matching Max’s powerful offense with one of his own. Donovan used strikes, slams, and holds to wear down Max’s neck. After standing up, dazed, following a sidewalk slam, Max fell right into Donovan who slammed the legend to the mat with the Full Nelson slam. Donovan quickly went for a cover. Max kicked out a hair before the referee counted to three, keeping him in the match.

King Donovan, furious, got even more aggressive with Max Destruction but he left himself open and Max turned the match momentum back into his favor. After a short blast of power slams and German suplexes, Max quickly scooped up Donovan and squashed him to the mat with a powerbomb. Max covered for a pin but was stunned when Donovan was able to kick out.  Max tried to capitalize on the damage that was done to Donovan and continued his offense.  After another close fall, Donovan looked to be in trouble. Max used a northern lights suplex and signaled for another powerbomb. As Max got in position, Donovan quickly pulled Max’s legs out from under him, kept hold of the legs and slingshotted Max into a turnbuckle. As Max rebounded backward, Donovan locked him up in another full nelson and slammed him to the mat. Donovan covered for a pin and got a three count, defeating Max Destruction.

Following the match, King Donovan stood tall in the ring while Max Destruction lay in a corner, trying to recover. Donovan raised his fist high in the air with a look of pride on his face. He looked back at Max in the corner for a long moment before leaving. After Donovan left and his music stopped playing, all attention was on Max Destruction in the ring. Max got to his feet looking tired and disappointed. He looked out to the audience who were giving him a standing ovation. He nodded his head as he looked around and waved, mouthing a “thank you” before leaving.

Titan Championship Match

Jax Rivers vs. Rex Anarchy (c)

The Titan Championship was on the line as Jax Rivers came down to the ring with hopes of reclaiming the title. Rivers stood on the turnbuckles and revved up the crowd before removing his leather jacket and stretching in his corner to prepare for the match. When Rex Anarchy made his way to the ring with the Titan Championship around his waist, he looked as smug and arrogant as ever. Conspicuous by their absence was the Lords of Chaos as Anarchy walked down to the ring alone. He stepped through the ropes and raised his arms in the middle of the ring as the audience booed him.

When the bell rang, neither man rushed into the action. They circled each other as Rex Anarchy took a few verbal shots at Jax Rivers. Rivers was stone faced as he appeared to study the champion. Anarchy and Rivers locked up in the ring and Rivers was immediately pushed into a corner. Anarchy mocked him but was stunned when Rivers exploded out of the corner and flattened him with a clothesline. Anarchy sat up and felt his face for any blood. He appeared to be stunned and this was all Rivers needed to get control of the match early on.

Jax Rivers attacked Rex Anarchy hard and fast. Anarchy attempted to escape the ring but Rivers would not have that. He stopped Anarchy from taking a breather every time. Anarchy reached the ring apron but before he could jump down, Rivers grabbed him and vertical suplexed him back into the ring. Rivers went for a cover but Anarchy kicked out of the pin attempt.

Rivers’ momentum was broken when Anarchy blocked a suplex attempt and reversed it into one of his own. Anarchy wasted no time in delivering payback to Rivers. The challenger was firmly on the defensive as Anarchy wore him down, focusing on Rivers’ neck and shoulder. After escaping a chicken wing submission, Rivers’ made a short comeback but Anarchy went after the shoulder again and stopped his momentum. Anarchy tried for a fisherman’s suplex to put Rivers away but Rivers was able to shift his weight and break Anarchy’s hold on him. As Rivers came down on top of Anarchy, he quickly hooked a leg and tried for a pin but Anarchy kicked out.

Jax Rivers dug deep and made a strong comeback. Rivers looked to have victory in his sights and went for the flapjack. Anarchy anticipated the move and dodged it, countering with an atomic drop. As Rivers fell to the mat, Anarchy signaled a wave toward the arena entrance and, right on cue, Pit Viper stealthily came down to ringside. As Anarchy distracted the referee by using the ropes for leverage while using some submission holds, Pit Viper removed a turnbuckle pad. Once removed, Anarchy attempted to Irish whip Rivers into it. Rivers reversed and Anarchy went chest first into the turnbuckle. As he stumbled back and turned around, Rivers dropped him with the flapjack. The crowd burst into excited cheers as Rivers went for a cover but Pit Viper stood up on the ring apron to distract the referee before he could count to three. As the referee argued with Pit Viper and Rivers was distracted by the commotion, Anarchy recovered. Anarchy grabbed Rivers by the hair and slammed his head into the exposed turnbuckle. Anarchy followed up with fisherman’s suplex and covered for a pin just as the referee turned around. Rivers was motionless as the referee counted to three and Rex Anarchy successfully defended the Titan Championship.

The crowd booed as Rex Anarchy smiled and held the Titan Championship high over his head. Pit Viper stood proudly beside him. Neither man noticed that Jax Rivers had recovered and was now standing behind them with a look of intense rage on his face. Rivers grabbed Pit Viper and dragged him backward before sending him over the ropes to the floor. Anarchy turned around but was not quick enough to react as Rivers nailed him with a kick to the stomach that doubled Anarchy over. The Titan Championship belt fell to the mat. Rivers picked it up and drove it into Anarchy’s head. Rivers pummeled the champion with punches before picking him up and smashing him to the mat with a flapjack. Rivers used the flapjack again and then looked to the exposed turnbuckle. Rivers looked down at Anarchy. Then back to the turnbuckle. Rivers delivered one more flapjack, this time dropping Anarchy right on the exposed turnbuckle. Rex Anarchy slumped down into the corner and was motionless in the ring.

Pit Viper recovered and was about to dive back into the ring but saw the rage on Jax Rivers’ face and tried to run away. Rivers slid out of the ring and cut off Pit Viper, dropping him to the mat with a clothesline. Rivers quickly picked him up and slammed him into the steel ring steps with a flapjack. Pit Viper looked hurt but tried to crawl away. Rivers picked him up again and drove him throat first onto the ring barricade with another flapjack. Jax Rivers was about to leave when Witchmere ran down to ringside. The Valkyrie Champion screamed at Rivers and told him he would pay. He stared at her and just walked away.

Witchmere looked at her fellow Lords of Chaos. Both Rex Anarchy and Pit Viper looked to be in bad shape. Officials came down to ringside with medical personnel. Pit Viper was taken out on a stretcher. Rex Anarchy walked away with assistance from several officials. Witchmere stood in the ring with a mix of shock and anger on her face. And that is when Cate Stiles’ music began to play. The crowd burst into loud cheers as Stiles made her way down to the ring for her match against Witchmere.

Valkyrie Championship Match

Cate Stiles vs. Witchmere (c)

Both women got in each others’ faces and argued before the referee pulled them apart and sent them to their corners. When the bell rang, Witchmere stepped forward. Cate Stiles stayed in her corner for a moment before suddenly charging forward, locking up with Witchmere and using her momentum to slam the champion back into her corner. Stiles laid in some hard forearm strikes before throwing Witchmere off the ropes and hitting a drop kick. The crowd was excited for the quick pace in the opening moments of the match. Stiles kept on offense briefly until Witchmere blocked a body slam and drove a double axe handle into Stiles’ back. Witchmere slowed the match down with her powerful offense, slamming Stiles hard to the mat and wrenching on her neck with submission holds. Witchmere kept the challenger down, stopping Stiles’ attempts to make a comeback and making her pay for it in the process. After Stiles landed a few punches, Witchmere hooked Stiles’ arm behind her own back and body slammed her. Stiles screamed in pain and clutched at her arm as it was crushed under her own weight. Stiles favored the arm and Witchmere focused her attack on it.

Witchmere threw Cate Stiles into the ropes and went for a boot to the face on the rebound but Stiles grabbed Witchmere’s foot and slid underneath her, pulling Witchmere down to the mat face first. Stiles held on and applied an Achilles’ hold. Witchmere was able to kick Stiles away quickly but Stiles went right back on the attack, stomping on the champion’s ankle and smacking it down on the mat. Witchmere kicked Stiles away and dragged herself out of the ring.

Witchmere stepped lightly on her foot as she took a breather on the floor. Stiles didn’t waste any time, however, and knocked Witchmere over with a baseball slide. Stiles picked up Witchmere and slammed her face into the ring apron. Witchmere stumbled backward and Stiles used a back suplex to take the champion down. Witchmere slowly rolled around on the floor as the referee counted. Stiles drove Witchmere back first into the side of the steel steps. As Stiles tried to follow up with a double knee strike, Witchmere moved and Stiles’ knees crashed into the steps.

The referee continued his count as both women struggled to get up from the floor. Witchmere recovered first and entered the ring. Stiles made it back just before being counted out. As the match continued, Stiles was slowed down by the damage to her knees while Witchmere had lost some of her strength thanks to the abuse her back had taken on the outside. Both women battled back and forth but Stiles began to pull ahead. After a springboard dropkick to the champion, Stiles favored her knees and was slow to get up. Witchmere recovered more quickly and locked the head vise on Stiles. Stiles looked to be in trouble but was close enough to the ropes that she was able to get her foot on it, forcing the referee to break the hold. After some more offense, Witchmere went for the head vise again but Stiles reached up and dropped her with a cutter. Stiles dug deep and went after Witchmere’s leg again before going for the ankle lock. Witchmere got close to the ropes but Stiles pulled her away to the middle of the ring. Witchmere held out and tried hard to escape but tapped out. Cate Stiles picked up the victory and became the new Valkyrie Champion.

Stiles celebrated in the ring and held the belt high over her head. She jumped up on a turnbuckle and posed as the crowd cheered. On her way backstage, Jax Rivers stepped through the curtain. Rivers and Stiles smiled at each other. Stiles stepped closer to him and Rivers kissed her. Stiles rested her head on his shoulder for a moment before stepping back and looking down at the Valkyrie Championship. She smiled. Rivers held Stiles’ wrist high in the air and pointed to her as the crowd cheered on. Stiles and Rivers then held hands and walked backstage.
