MoW #003 Results

Masters of Wrestling made a long-awaited return to Philadelphia, PA! It was a big night for MoW and started with a tag team match.

The Navigators, Aidan North and Pete Arrow, squared off with Burton Sykes Jr. and Andre Jordan. The Navigators found themselves against a formidable tag team in Sykes and Jordan. Jordan nearly picked up a pinfall on North before The Navigators began to turn the tide in their favor. As the match progressed, a mysterious woman appeared at the arena entrance and watched the match while taking notes. Sykes applied a sleeper hold to Arrow who threw himself backwards, crushing Sykes into the turnbuckle. Arrow rolled up Sykes and picked up a pinfall victory.

Larry Loudmouth interviewed Maria Estrella. Estrella celebrated her team victory at the last show with Lucia Mendez as her partner. She said she has taken notice that Aurora Starkey walks around like she owns the place. She challenged Starkey to a match to see how good she really is. Aurora Starkey came down to the ring and accepted the challenge.

Maria Estrella and Aurora Starkey had a hard-hitting match that quickly spilled to the outside. With Estrella firmly in control of the momentum, Starkey backpedaled up the aisle trying to escape. Estrella caught up with her and both women continued to brawl until the referee ended the match in a double count out. Starkey hit Estrella in the face with a camera and then speared her through some production equipment. Starkey stood over Estrella with her arm raised while Estrella looked to be in a great deal of pain.

Killer Malone stepped into the ring with Cole Arcane, a popular wrestler making his debut in MoW. Malone and Arcane are no strangers to each other in the ring and that was evident as the brawl heavy match progressed. Arcane built serious momentum and went for a running bulldog but Malone slipped free. When Arcane turned around to engage Malone, he was hit square in the jaw with a knockout punch. Malone covered for a pinfall victory.

The Rebel served as special guest host for the evening and came down to the ring with the MoW Championship belt in his hands. The Rebel addressed the crowd and thanked them for their continued support of MoW. He recapped the announcement at the last show that Snarl, the last MoW Champion, was invited to come and reclaim the title. The Rebel wasted no time and invited Snarl to come to the ring. Snarl did not appear, disappointing the audience in attendance.

As The Rebel began to explain that other arrangements will be made for determining the new MoW Champion, John Austin Baker game down to the ring. Baker said that if Snarl isn’t going to show up, he is ready to face anyone in MoW for the honor of becoming champion. Suddenly, Snarl appeared and came down to the ring. The crowd broke into thunderous applause to celebrate the MoW legend’s appearance. Snarl yanked the title belt from The Rebel and held it high in the air. He dismissed Baker as a threat and said that the MoW Championship is where it belongs, and he will reign as champion for a very long time. Baker and Snarl had a staredown before Snarl blasted Baker with the title belt and then powerbombed him. The Rebel tried to stop Snarl but was also powerbombed for his effort. The crowd turned on Snarl, booing him for his actions as he left with the MoW Championship draped over his shoulder.

The main event featured Mark Blood looking for payback against Jax Rivers. Blood fought aggressively, taking Rivers by surprise. Rivers reversed an Irish whip and sent Blood into the turnbuckle. Rivers punished Blood while taunting him, saying he is the future of MoW, not Blood. After a flapjack, it looked to be over for Blood but somehow, he dug deep and kicked out! Blood began to make a comeback. With victory in his sight, Blood locked Rivers in the Boston crab. As Rivers tried desperately to reach a rope to break the hold, the referee was suddenly yanked out of the ring by Rivers’ wife and one of the best wrestlers in the world, Cate Stiles! Stiles, who snuck into ringside from the crowd, dove under the ropes and blasted Blood from behind. The referee called for the bell, awarding Mark Blood a victory by DQ, however, he would not have the opportunity to celebrate because Jax Rivers and Cate Stiles assaulted him viciously. Rivers and Stiles left Blood motionless in the ring and then retreated backstage.
