Masters of Wrestling heads on a tour of the Midwest with the first stop in St. Louis, MO.
The show opened with Cole Arcane in singles action against Andre Jordan. Arcane showed a lot of fire and the crowd was behind him, cheering him on while he was in control of the match and rallying behind him to make a comeback when Jordan got the best of him. During the match, the mysterious woman wearing a suit who appeared at the previous show stood in the aisle and took notes. Arcane fought back against Jordan and took him down with a running bulldog. Arcane pinned Jordan but the referee did not see Jordan’s foot on the bottom rope. The match was awarded to Arcane despite Jordan’s protests. The woman eyed the argument in the ring over the rim of her glasses before leaving.
Larry Loudmouth introduced the audience to a new member of the MoW locker room, wrestling veteran Marty Anderson! Anderson said he came to MoW because he knew it was where the toughest and best wrestling on Earth is. He said fans can expect him to make a big impact very soon as only he can.
Shannon Worth and Lucia Mendez were next in singles action. Worth came out strong and rocked Mendez with well-placed strikes with her hands and feet. Mendez came back with an offense of her own, trying to wear down Worth’s arms. Worth hit Mendez with a spinning elbow out of nowhere and covered for the win.
The evening’s special guest host was MoW legend, Cro-Magnum. Magnum applauded the new generation of MoW stars and said he has loved the action seen so far. He challenged the wrestlers in the locker room to take MoW to heights it has not yet seen. Before he could say more, Killer Malone came down to confront him. Malone questioned why precious time was being wasted on the old generation like Cro-Magnum instead of guys like himself. Malone said he had heard Magnum had a powerful punch but his is better and demanded that he leave the ring. Magnum did not back down. Malone took a swing, but Magnum ducked and clocked Malone with a thunderous uppercut that sent him right down to the mat. Cro-Magnum left the ring and slapped hands with the audience while Killer Malone looked dazed in the ring.
Aurora Starkey continued her domination of the women’s division in a match against Kami King. King, a small, but fiery wrestler, tried her best against Starkey but succumbed to a powerbomb and was pinned. Starkey, victorious, wasn’t done with King. She gloated and knocked King around, shoving her into a corner. Maria Estrella, with bandages wrapped around her midsection, ran out to make the save and confronted Starkey. Both women brawled in the ring before being broken up by officials. After the ring cleared, Larry Loudmouth announced that Aurora Starkey and Maria Estrella would settle their differences in the main event.
Cate Stiles shocked the world when she appeared at the last show to help her newlywed husband, Jax Rivers, in his match against Mark Blood. Fans demanded answers and Rivers came down to the ring with Stiles to explain their actions. Stiles said she fell in love with wrestling when she attended a MoW match as a little girl. She said she understands what it takes to make a statement in MoW. She also said that even back then, it was clear to her that the Blood name did not mean as much as it once had. Two decades later, it still does not mean much. Rivers said that he and Stiles are the power couple of wrestling and that MoW is fortunate to have the two best wrestlers in the world on their roster. He proclaimed the future of MoW to be theirs. Stiles offered no apology for what they did to Mark Blood. She and Rivers both know he is too stubborn to accept that he and the Blood family name are no longer relevant and when he shows his face again, they will break it. Rivers and Stiles left the ring together, ignoring the rejection from the audience.
Larry Loudmouth stepped into the ring with some breaking news! He announced that the championship committee has awarded John Austin Baker a shot at the MoW Championship against Snarl. The match will happen at the next show in Chicago, IL.
Aurora Starkey returned to the ring for the second time, this time to face Maria Estrella. Estrella’s midsection was wrapped in bandages from injuries suffered in a fight with Starkey at the previous show. Starkey took advantage of the injuries and quickly wore down Estrella’s back. Estrella refused to give in, however, and dug deep to fight back. Both women traded near falls. Estrella tried for a running powerslam but her back was too weak and Starkey was able to escape. Starkey lifted Estrella for a powerbomb, but Estrella planted a forearm square between her eyes. Starkey fell backward, Estrella stayed on top of her, hooked her legs, and picked up a surprise pinfall victory. As Maria Estrella celebrated in the ring, Aurora Starkey was fuming on the outside.
