Masters of Wrestling made a stop in Green Bay, WI for a night filled with action, surprises, and a Team Championship Match!
The night started with Cole Arcane taking on Andre Jordan, who was accompanied to ringside by a mysterious woman who has been showing up and taking notes during matches at MoW shows. Jordan fought more aggressively, working Arcane’s back relentlessly. Arcane tried for a running bulldog but Jordan slipped free and pinned Arcane following a belly-to-belly suplex. Arcane looked disappointed as the woman held Jordan’s arm in the air and pointed to him with a proud look on her face.
Larry Loudmouth joined Andre Jordan and the woman in the ring to get some answers. The woman spoke for Jordan and introduced herself as Claudia Winter. She said she is in the business of bringing out the best in athletes and helping them navigate unfair working conditions. Winter said Jordan has not been treated fairly, citing his previous loss against Cole Arcane despite having his foot on the rope while being pinned. She said this is a new beginning for Andre Jordan and the world is looking at the future MoW Champion.
Cro-Magnum looked to get payback in match against Killer Malone after being attacked at the last show. Malone, who was joined by Marty Anderson, stopped Cro-Magnum’s offense early in the match and got the better of the MoW legend until the match spilled to the outside. Cro-Magnum rallied back and took out both Malone and Anderson with a furious assault. After rolling Malone back into the ring, Cro-Magnum argued with Marty Anderson on the outside. Cro-Magnum entered the ring and tried for a pin, but Malone had recovered enough to kick out. Cro-Magnum stayed on top of his opponent and went for a Magnum Punch, but Anderson climbed on the ring apron to distract him. It worked and Killer Malone nailed Cro-Magnum with a knockout punch of his own. Malone covered for a pin and won the match. After the match, Malone and Anderson skipped the victory celebration and continued to attack Cro-Magnum until John Austin Baker ran in to even the odds, helping Cro-Magnum clear the ring.
Cate Stiles and Jax Rivers came down to the ring to let everyone know that what they did to Mark Blood and Kami King at the last show was a warning that they mean it when they say nobody stands in their way of ruling MoW. This brought out, who else, but Mark Blood and Kami King. Blood’s elbow and forehead were bandaged, and King was on crutches. This had Rivers laughing and Stiles rolling her eyes. Blood challenged them to a tag team match which baffled the self-proclaimed “power couple of wrestling”. Rivers commented on how Blood does not look too healthy and Stiles said King can’t even walk, let alone wrestle. King said she was not Blood’s partner and moved aside to make way for Mark’s sister, MMA fighter turned wrestling champion, Tracy Blood! Tracy joined Mark as they marched down to the ring while King followed behind to support them.
The Blood siblings worked well together but Stiles and Rivers showed how well they operated as a married couple. The match momentum swung back and forth throughout. Mark Blood hit a tombstone on Rivers and tried for a pin, but Stiles broke it up. Tracy Blood entered the ring and nailed Stiles with a head kick that sent her through the ropes to the outside. Rivers began to get in some offense on Mark Blood while Tracy Blood cheered on her brother from the corner. Outside the ring, Cate Stiles recovered and saw Kami King standing nearby. Stiles got in King’s face and pushed her backward, knocking her off balance and to the floor. Stiles grabbed King’s injured ankle to attack it but King jabbed her in the throat with one of her crutches. Stiles stumbled back. King got up and began to whack Stiles repeatedly with a crutch, bringing the crowd to a loud cheer. This got the referee’s attention who called for the bell. Cate Stiles and Jax Rivers won by DQ, but they hardly looked victorious as the Bloods and Kami King chased them away from ringside. Mark and Tracy Blood helped Kami King backstage. All three looked determined to continue the fight another day.
Aurora Starkey and Maria Estrella continued their feud in a match that displayed both women’s powerful offense. Each woman had a few close pinfalls but neither would stay down. Estrella missed a body splash in the corner that Starkey took advantage of, rolling Estrella up and pulling her trunks for leverage to pick up a surprising victory! Following the match, Aurora Starkey’s celebration was cut off by the evening’s special guest host, MoW legend, Titan. Titan said that the world has been watching MoW and the women have been a big reason. He said that Aurora Starkey and Maria Estrella have been the two standout stars of the women’s roster and announced that they will meet at the next show in one more match, the winner becoming the first woman MoW Champion. Estrella and Starkey looked at each other from across the ring, silently communicating that they would each bring everything they have when they meet again.
Speaking of titles, MoW crowned new Team Champions in the main event between The Navigators and The Bomb Squad! The Bomb Squad looked as managing as ever and got the upper hand in the early minutes of the match. Terry Bombay hit Aidan North with a lariat and covered for a pin, but Pete Arrow broke up the count. As the match progressed, Arrow powered through the Bomb Squad’s attacks, leveling Bobby Bombay with an explosive combination of power moves. The fans were excited to see all four men fighting with everything they had to earn those Team Championship belts. In the closing minutes of the match, North went for a cross body off the top rope. He hit Bobby Bombay, knocking him down and going for a pin but Bombay used the momentum from the fall to roll over and pin North. The referee counted to three just before North kicked out. The bell rang and The Bomb Squad were awarded the MoW Team Championships.
