MoW #009 Results

MoW rolled into Knoxville, TN with plenty of action for the fans!

The show opened with a match between Burton Sykes Jr. and Matt Griffin. Neither man had much of an opportunity to show their talents because MoW Champion Snarl stormed into the ring during the match and tossed both men from the ring. Snarl demanded that Andre Jordan come down to the ring because he was in for a mauling. Jordan did come down to the ring with Claudia Winter. Winter reminded Snarl that Jordan defeated him at the previous show and would only step into the ring with Snarl if he puts the MoW Championship on the line. Snarl accepted and told Jordan to prepare for the worst night of his life.

“Local Legend” Danny Miller entered the ring and told the people of Knoxville that as their hometown hero, he would make them proud by defeating his opponent, Cole Arcane. Arcane came out and told Miller that everyone knows he is not local to Knoxville and he is certainly no legend. The bell rang and Miller put up a good fight early on, but it was not long before Arcane turned the tide. Arcane nailed Miller with a running bulldog and pinned him for the victory.

John Austin Baker and Cro-Magnum came out for an interview with Larry Loudmouth. Loudmouth brought up their loss to Killer Malone and Marty Anderson at the last show. Baker acknowledged that he and Cro-Magnum were unsuccessful that night, but he believes they have a bright future together in the MoW team division. They are a team built on mutual respect and will continue to fight to be the best. Cro-Magnum stopped Baker and said that Baker has a bright future but is being held back. Cro-Magnum stated that he is happy to have had a chance to get in the ring once more but thinks it may have been a mistake. Cro-Magnum walked away. Baker rushed to follow him backstage.

Larry Loudmouth attempted to send the show back to the ring announcer for the next match but was stopped by MoW Champion Maria Estrella. Estrella said she needed a minute to discuss the arrival of Witchmere and her interference in her title match. Estrella said the message was received and he isn’t afraid of Witchmere. Estrella told Witchmere she knows where to find her and, maybe next time, be courageous enough to show herself with the lights on.

Lucia Mendez was in singles action against Shannon Worth. Worth had Meghan DeWitt with her at ringside to cheer her on. Mendez did not let DeWitt bother her during her match against Worth but when Worth looked to be in trouble, DeWitt climbed the ring apron to distract the referee. Mendez whipped Worth into DeWitt, causing the women to collide. DeWitt was sent to the floor outside and Worth stumbled backward into a German suplex by Mendez. Lucia Mendez locked in a triangle hold forcing Shannon Worth into submission for the victory. After the match, DeWitt tried to smooth things over, but Worth slapped her hard across the face and stormed off.

Kami King met with Larry Loudmouth for a ringside interview. King, who broke her leg during an attack by Cate Stiles several weeks ago, said her dream is to become MoW Champion and a broken leg is not going to kill that dream. She promises to be back soon. Before she could leave, Cate Stiles came down to ringside with her husband, Jax Rivers. Stiles said she was not finished with King and proceeded to kick one of King’s crutches out from under her. Before the situation could escalate further, Tracy and Mark Blood rushed down to ringside to help King fight off Stiles and Rivers.

The MoW Championship was on the line! Andre Jordan came down to the ring with Claudia Winter at his side. Snarl burst through the curtain and stomped to the ring. Snarl did not wait for the usual ring introductions and bulldozed right over Jordan as soon as he entered the ring. By the time the match finally started in earnest, Jordan was already battered and bruised. Much of the match continued in this way, culminating with Snarl crushing Jordan into the mat with a powerbomb. Winter pulled Jordan out of the ring to safety. When Snarl followed and argued with Winter, Jordan recovered and smashed a chair into Snarl’s back, causing a disqualification. Snarl seemed unaffected by the chair shot. Jordan retreated into the ring where Snarl stalked him. Winter snuck in and low-blowed Snarl. Jordan and Winter both attacked Snarl, finally ending the assault when Jordan piledrove Snarl onto a chair. Winter grabbed the MoW Championship belt and draped it over Jordan’s shoulder as he stood proud in the ring.
