Masters of Wrestling sticks around Scranton, Pa for one more night of hard-hitting action!
The show began with Burton Sykes Jr. going one-on-one against Matt Griffin. The match barely got started before MoW Champion, Snarl, stormed the ring and dispatched both wrestlers with force.
Snarl grabbed a microphone and said he heard Johnny Young and Jax Rivers talking as though one of them is destined to be the next champion. Snarl said their only destiny is pain. He said he is not a stop on the road to becoming MoW Champion. MoW is his house, always has been, and if either man comes to challenge him, they will learn that lesson the hard way.
Kami King continued her comeback with a hotly contested match against Shannon Worth. Worth was also looking to make the most of the match and looked impressive as she kept King from gaining momentum. King persisted, however, and caught Worth with a superkick. King covered for a pin and won the hard-fought match.
Larry Loudmouth stepped into the ring to interview Kami King after her match. Loudmouth praised King’s comeback but wanted to address the tension between her and Tracy Blood. King sighed and said she is strong, confident, and does not need anyone to protect her. She said she had no problem with Blood if she minds her own business. This brought out Tracy Blood who apologized but added that she only cares for King as a friend and did not want to see her injured again at the hands of Cate Stiles. King told her it is nice of her to care but she does not need to get involved. King walked away leaving Blood in the ring alone.
Cole Arcane visited Larry Loudmouth ringside. Loudmouth thanked Arcane for saving him against Dr. Insidious. Arcane got angry. He said he knows Dr. Insidious enjoys people’s suffering. Arcane promised to bring the suffering to Insidious and see how he feels when the tables are turned.
Killer Malone and Marty Anderson were in the ring when Terry Bombay stepped out from the backstage curtain to face them in a tag match. Bombay looked over his shoulder and John Austin Baker stepped through. The two men communicated briefly with a look before shaking hands. They walked down to the ring together as a team. The match between both teams was as hard hitting as one would have expected. There were a lot of stiff clotheslines and powerful slams. The experienced team of Malone and Anderson had the upper hand throughout the later part of the match, but Bombay and Baker showed fine teamwork for their first outing together. Bombay dodged a knockout punch from Malone, countered with an atomic drop, and tagged in Baker. Baker used a dragon suplex and pinned Malone while Bombay prevented Anderson from breaking up the pin with another vicious lariat. After the match, Bombay and Baker discussed something together, shook hands, and then celebrated in the ring.
MoW Champion Aurora Starkey walked down to the ring and grabbed a microphone. Starkey said that she hears people talk about how she is not a fighting champion. She disagreed and countered that there are many factors in having title matches occur at the right time. Starkey mentioned former champion Maria Estrella and stressed that Estrella will get her rematch but needs to learn patience. Claudia Winter interrupted the champion and suggested that there was not a timing issue. Instead, Starkey is afraid of losing the title back to Maria Estrella. When Starkey told Winter to mind her own business, Winter instead challenged the champion to a match with the stipulation that if Winter wins, Maria Estrella gets her rematch at the next show. Starkey stepped back and looked at Winter, who was wearing a sleeveless button-down shirt, black slacks, and high heels; certainly not dressed to wrestle. Starkey shrugged and agreed to the match. Winter tossed her high heels in a corner and stretched to get ready for her match with the champion.
Aurora Starkey made the mistake of underestimating Claudia Winter. Winter quickly got the better of Starkey and rolled the champion up for a quick pin. Starkey kicked out and looked shocked before standing back up. Winter showed off some more in-ring skills, but the champion fought back. Starkey dominated much of the match, growing cockier as the match went on. Winter leapfrogged over Starkey while rebounding off the ropes and collapsed to the mat clutching her knee. Starkey tried to capitalize but the referee held her back while he checked on Winter. Andre Jordan snuck down to ringside while everyone was distracted. He grabbed one of Winter’s discarded high heels, slid into the ring, and when Starkey turned around, he spiked Starkey in the face with the heel. Starkey stumbled backward, Winter miraculously recovered, and rolled up the champion for a pinfall victory. As Claudia Winter stood in the ring with her hand raised, Maria Estrella ran down to the ring. She confronted Winter and argued with her. Meanwhile, Aurora Starkey looked furious outside the ring as she recovered and realized that she would be defending the MoW Championship against Estrella at the next show.
