MoW #020 Results

MoW came to Boston, MA with hot action for a rowdy crowd.

The show began backstage with Tracy Blood looking for Kami King, her opponent in the main event. King was in a trainers’ area getting her ankle checked out before the match, still showing the effects of her match with Cate Stiles. Blood asked King to reconsider their match and instead asked if they could talk things over. King said there was nothing more to talk about and promised to send Blood her message in the ring. Blood looked like she was going to say something but instead walked away. King glared at Blood as she left.

MoW started the action hot with a rematch for the MoW Team Championship. The Navigators looked to regain the titles against new champions Killer Malone and Marty Anderson. Before the match began, fans were thrilled to see wrestling legends, Balance and Ridge, at ringside taking in the show. The match quickly favored The Navigators as they showed great fire in their quest to regain the titles. Anderson turned the tide for his team during a key moment in the match. The action went on in the ring, but Southern Aggression made their way to ringside. Balance and Ridge, seeing them coming, jumped the rail and stood between them and the ring. A brawl broke out between Southern Aggression and Balance and Ridge. Pete Arrow, who was making a comeback for his team, was distracted by the action outside, giving Malone the chance to hit him with a knockout punch. Malone pinned Arrow for the victory. All four teams brawled at ringside after the bell. Balance and Ridge helped The Navigators clear the ringside area.

Shannon Worth and Meghan DeWitt were backstage watching the tag team brawl on a monitor. Worth expressed frustration that they have not been in the ring lately and they need to make a statement. Worth told DeWitt she knew exactly what to do.

Aurora Starkey stepped into the ring with Cate Stiles. Stiles hit Starkey hard and fast with an attack to the legs. Starkey fought back and nearly pinned Stiles on several attempts. Stiles kept at Starkey, eventually getting the upper hand once again. Starkey was in agony as Stiles used the ankle lock. Starkey somehow pulled herself to the ropes to break the hold, but it was not long after that Stiles reapplied the ankle lock. Starkey was unable to escape and was forced to submit.

Jax Rivers joined his wife, Cate Stiles, in the ring following her match. He said Stiles will be the next MoW Champion. Rivers then said that he will also become champion and they will be the undisputed power couple in wrestling. Rivers said MoW tried to throw him off by putting him in a match with Tex but “that has been” was not a problem. He said he is ready for anyone, demanded another match, and refused to leave the ring until he got one. Stiles stood in the ring with Rivers in support. It did not take long for Rivers to get an answer. It was not Tex, but it was another hardcore wrestling legend. “Bad Lands” Bill Stanton marched down to the ring, looking eager for a fight.

The timekeeper’s bell rang only moments before Jax Rivers head rang when Bill Stanton blasted him with a running clothesline into the corner. Rivers was caught completely off guard as Stanton brutally attacked him. The match was short and ugly. Stanton drove Rivers head into the mat with a snap DDT and covered him for a victory. Stiles stood in stunned silence as Stanton thrashed around the ring, slamming his hands on a turnbuckle and kicking the ropes. Rivers rolled out of the ring and looked to Stiles for support, but she just yelled at him. Stanton grabbed a microphone and said he had arrived in MoW for one reason. He saw Fraust’s brutal attack on his friend, Cole Arcane, and said it was appalling. Arcane idolized Fraust as a kid and was now at home with broken ribs and internal injuries because of him. Stanton said he would not stand for it and challenged Fraust to a no holds barred match at the next show.

Kami King and Tracy Blood met in a main event match with a very personal issue. Whether it was King’s determination to fight Blood or Blood’s hesitation to fight, it was King that fought hard early on and built a strong offense. King went for a super kick but missed giving Blood the chance to make a comeback. King appeared to injure her already damaged ankle off a leapfrog but continued to fight. King was reeling late in the match and Blood pleaded with her to stop but King kept coming at her. Blood brought King to her knees with a hard knee strike to the gut. King struggled to stand up. Blood looked ready to strike with a head kick. She hesitated but ultimately blasted King with the kick and covered for the victory. After the match, Blood looked on with concern as King stirred on the mat. Shannon Worth and Meghan DeWitt ran down to the ring and attacked Blood from behind. King recovered enough to see what was happening and attacked Worth and DeWitt. King was outnumbered, however, and both women assaulted King. Blood tried to help but was also overcome in the attack. Blood used the last bit of energy she had to cover King’s body from further abuse. Worth and DeWitt looked pleased with their actions and left the ring.
