MoW #022 Results

MoW comes to Dover, DE with high energy and a special announcement!

The show opened with Balance and Ridge continuing their career resurgence in a non-title match against MoW Team Champions, Killer Malone and Marty Anderson. Malone and Anderson had their way with Balance and Ridge early on, but Ridge exploded out of nowhere with a hurricanrana and rallied the fans for support. Balance rode the momentum and nearly picked up a victory, but the champions made a comeback of their own. Anderson went for a running clothesline to Balance who was against a turnbuckle. Balance dodged, Anderson hit hard, and Balance capitalized on the impact with a lifting DDT. Balance covered for a pin and picked up a win for his team. After the match, Malone and Anderson looked shocked and furious while Balance and Ridge celebrated in the ring.

Larry Loudmouth addressed the audience with a special announcement. MoW will hold two Number One Contender Ladder Matches at the next show, one for the men’s division and another for the women’s division. Hanging from the ring will be a number one contender contract. Loudmouth announced the participants of each match.

Jax Rivers was joined by his wife Cate Stiles for his match against “Badlands” Bill Stanton. Stanton hit Rivers hard and fast from the start, but Rivers quickly overtook him and dominated much of the match. Stanton made a strong comeback, however, and had Rivers reeling. Stanton began using more brutal slams. After a vicious DDT split Rivers’ eyebrow open, Stiles dragged him out of the ring. Rivers and Stiles retreated up the ramp, giving Stanton a win by count out. Stanton grabbed a microphone and called out to Rivers, telling Rivers he would catch up with him in the Number One Contender Ladder Match.

Claudia Winter was standing backstage, flanked by Andre Jordan and Lucia Mendez. Winter said that both of her clients will win the Lionheart Ladder Matches. Winter said Jordan has everything is takes to become MoW Champion and he will make the most of the opportunity. Winter then looked to Mendez and said that Mendez wants more than to become MoW champion. She wants to take Maria Estrella down for not having her back. Winter then said that with Estrella, it is personal for her, also. Winter said she tried to help get Estrella to the next level, even helping her become MoW Champion for the second time. Even still, Estrella rejected her. Winter said she was humiliated by the rejection so, in return, she shaved Estrella’s head. Winter promised that would not be the end of the humiliation. After Mendez wins the Lionheart Ladder Match, she will take Estrella’s precious MoW Championship away from her as well. Then she will have nothing.

Meghan DeWitt came to the ring with Shannon Worth in her corner against Kami King. King was joined by Tracy Blood. Worth made fun of Blood, who was wearing a cast on her broken wrist. DeWitt and King had a back and forth encounter filled with fast paced action tempered with some impressive mat wrestling. DeWitt came close to defeating King throughout the match, but King fought back and won the match by pinfall after a superkick. Worth circled the ring and clotheslined Blood as soon as the match was over. Worth dove into the ring and together, she and DeWitt double teamed King. Blood entered the ring and helped save King. Blood nailed Worth in the head with her cast, knocking Worth out cold. DeWitt dragged Worth out of the ring and backstage while King and Blood held their ground in the ring.

Larry Loudmouth was joined by Johnny Young for an interview. Loudmouth asked if Young would agree to Snarl’s stipulation that he can never challenge for the MoW Championship again if he loses their upcoming rematch happening at the next MoW show. Young said he never hid his desire to win championships. If he cannot wrestle for the MoW Championship anymore, his career may as well be over. This brought out MoW Champion Snarl. Snarl paced around the ring canvas, considering Young. Snarl said that if its either the MoW Championship or nothing, then Young should put his career on the line because no matter which way he looks at it, there is no free ride to a rematch. Young looked to be considering this new challenge, but Snarl persisted and asked why he is hesitating. Snarl said that Young always speaks with such confidence that he can defeat him and now wonders if Young is a fraud. Young smiled and said he would accept the match because, as Snarl said, he is confident he will win. Snarl grinned, stepped up to Young, and held up the MoW Championship. Young responded by kicking Snarl in the gut and Powerbombing him to the mat. Young tore off his muscle shirt and threw it on Snarl before holding the MoW Championship belt high in the air.
