Masters of Wrestling stops in at Memphis, TN with two number one contender ladder matches, a MoW Team Championship match, and a career-threatening MoW Championship match!

The show opened with the Women’s Number One Contender Ladder Match. Lucia Mendez, Kami King, Meghan DeWitt, Mysterie, and Cate Stiles all entered the ring ready to fight. An announcement was made that Shannon Worth was unable to compete due to a concussion and a replacement had been found. Witchmere made her return to MoW and was the final entrant in the match. Witchmere started the match with an aggressive onslaught against all the other women. Witchmere stood tall against everyone and had positioned a ladder, planning for a quick victory. Stiles would not allow it, however, and knocked the ladder over. The match progressed with action happening all over the inside and outside of the ring. King had a breakout moment that found her super kicking Stiles through the ropes and climbing the ladder reaching for the briefcase. DeWitt climbed up behind her and in a shocking moment, German suplexed King off the ladder where both women would lay for much of the rest of the match. Witchmere made a dominant comeback, sending Mendez soaring over the ropes on top of Stiles below. Witchmere climbed the ladder and had the contract in her grasp. Mysterie thwarted her chance at winning with a dropkick to the ladder from the top turnbuckle. Witchmere hit the ropes and snapped back onto the mat. Mysterie setup the ladder but found her face quickly slammed into it by Stiles. Stiles climbed the ladder and was about to grab the contract, but Mendez climbed up on the other side. Mendez screamed at Stiles, saying Maria Estrella was hers, not Stiles. Both women traded fists. Stiles blasted Mendez with one hard forearm, sending Mendez off the ladder to the mat. Stiles reached up and snatched the contract, awarding her the victory and putting her next in line to face Maria Estrella for the MoW Championship.

The MoW Team Championships were on the line with Balance and Ridge facing the champions, Killer Malone and Marty Anderson. Balance and Ridge showed tremendous teamwork, keeping the champions on defense. Malone reversed the tide in his and Anderson’s favor and looked to be in control until Balance dodged a knockout punch and got Malone in position for Ridge to finish him off with a shooting star press. Ridge was about to take flight, but John Austin Baker ran down to the ring and knocked Ridge off the turnbuckle, causing a disqualification. Terry Bombay entered the ring an attacked Balance. Southern Aggression attacked both Balance and Ridge while the champions watched from their corner. Southern Aggression directed their attention to Malone and Anderson. During a tense staredown, Anderson told them to leave but Malone was suddenly blasted from behind by Bombay’s brother, the returning Bobby Bombay. Baker and the Bombay brothers assaulted the champions.

Larry Loudmouth invited MoW Champion Maria Estrella to the ring. Estrella stepped into the ring in street clothes and sporting a new shaved head, courtesy of Claudia Winter, Lucia Mendez, and Andre Jordan. Loudmouth asked Estrella her thoughts on the upcoming title defense against new number one contender, Cate Stiles. Estrella said that Stiles is one of the best wrestlers in the world. She knows she is in for a fight but said that Stiles had better understand that she is in for a real fight as well. Estrella said she is not scared of Stiles and is looking forward to their match. Loudmouth asked Estrella about Winter and Mendez’s heinous actions against us, including shaving her head in the middle of the ring. Estrella rubbed her head and said that they tried to humiliate her. They tried to break her spirit. They failed. Estrella said this has only made her stronger. Estrella said she has a title defense to focus on but is not going to forget about Mendez and Winter. She said she is coming for them both.

The Men’s Number One Contender Ladder Match was next. Andre Jordan, Aidan North, Pete Arrow, Mark Blood, “Badlands” Bill Stanton, and Jax Rivers filled the ring and brawled from the moment the bell rang. Arrow and North relied on their strong bond as a tag team by working together against the rest of the competitors. Stanton rallied early in the match and setup a ladder in the center of the ring. Rivers hit him from behind. Stanton, unfazed, turned to face Rivers and began to brawl with him. Blood climbed the ladder and had his hands on the contract but was pulled down by North. Blood fought against North, and then Arrow, but was blindsided by Rivers. Stanton got his hands on Rivers again later in the match. Stanton setup a table and intended to put Rivers through it but Rivers avoided it. The table came into play just moments later when Jordan used a belly to belly suplex, slamming North through the table. Stanton used a ladder as a battering ram on Rivers but quickly found the ladder kicked back into him by Arrow. Back in the ring, Jordan snuck up a ladder and was about to reach for the contract, but Blood knocked him off, sending Jordan face first into a turnbuckle pad. Blood had no time to capitalize and he was immediately clotheslined over the top rope by Arrow. The lone man standing in the ring, Pete Arrow climbed the ladder, snatched the contract, and became the number one contender for the MoW Championship.

The main event saw Johnny Young challenge Snarl for the MoW Championship. The stakes were as high as they could be for Young as he had to put his career on the line to get the match. Young showed fighting spirit from the start of the match. Snarl was caught off guard by the relentless charge of Young. The champion escaped the ring for a breather, which was out of character for Snarl. Young, unwilling to give him an inch, followed. Snarl surprised Young with a spear outside the ring and began to manhandle him. Snarl threw his opponent in the ring and covered but Young kicked out. Snarl, now firmly in control, punished Young’s back. Young did manage to make a comeback but while attempting a suplex, his back gave out. Snarl capitalized and powerbombed Young to the mat. Snarl covered, but Young kicked out. Snarl pounded on a prone Young with fists before picking him up for another powerbomb but Young again kicked out of a pin. Young used a final burst of energy to fight back. Snarl was reeling. Young dug deep and used a series of power moves to wear down Snarl. Young used a muscle buster on Snarl, but the champion kicked out at the last possible moment. The audience was stunned that Snarl had kicked out but Young, unfazed, went right back on the attack. Young went for a clothesline, but Snarl ducked, caught Young on the rebound with a spear. Snarl picked Young up for another powerbomb. Young crumpled to the mat. Snarl covered for a pin to win the match, secure his continued reign atop MoW, and send Johnny Young into history. Snarl celebrated in the ring while Young pulled himself to a corner and propped himself up to a sitting position. He watched Snarl with a blank stare. Snarl looked back just before leaving the ring and grinned at Young. Alone in the ring, Johnny Young stood up, looked around at the audience that were chanting his name and applauded his legendary career. He raised a fist high into the air and stood tall before beating it against his chest and pointing out to the crowd. Johnny Young stepped out of the wrestling ring for the final time and walked out the arena into retirement.
