Masters of Wrestling arrived in Waco, TX to address the aftermath of Vicious Consequences.
Burton Sykes Jr. was in the ring to face the returning Cole Arcane, who received a huge applause from the audience. Arcane was full of energy at the start of the match, going on offense right away. Sykes clubbed Arcane with a nasty forearm shot off the ropes, but it was not long before Arcane made a comeback, used a running bulldog on Sykes and pinned him for the victory.
Larry Loudmouth met with Cole Arcane in the ring following his victory. Loudmouth welcomed Arcane back from injury and asked how he was feeling. Arcane said he felt great and was ready to pick up where he left off. Loudmouth commented that Arcane was one of the toughest wrestlers around and knows he speaks for the rowdy fans when he says he cannot wait to see what Arcane does next.
“Badlands” Bill Stanton and The Convict were backstage admiring their MoW Team Championship belts and celebrating their win. Balance and Ridge confronted the champions and questioned how they could be so proud when they won by cheating. Stanton said he and The Convict know that you do whatever it takes to survive in life, and they did what they had to do to get what they needed in MoW. Balance said he and Ridge would like to know what the champions are really made of and challenged them to a match.
MoW Champion Cate Stiles came down to the ring with Jax Rivers at her side. Stiles had a microphone and wasted no time in gloating over her title defense against Kami King at Vicious Consequences. Stiles said that King has been an annoying gnat but has finally been squashed. Stiles warned all other women in MoW to think twice before stepping up to challenger her for the MoW Championship. Right on cue, Aurora Starkey came down to the ring to confront Stiles. Starkey said that Stiles did defeat King but seemed a little rattled by King going into the match. Starkey suggested that Stiles is not as confident as she seems. Rivers began to defend his wife, but Stiles stopped him. Stiles told Starkey she was not afraid of anyone and warned Starkey not to do something she will regret. Starkey said she will not regret taking the MoW Championship. Starkey backed away and pointed at the MoW Championship before leaving Stiles and Rivers alone in the ring.
Meghan DeWitt was in singles action against Witchmere. Witchmere overpowered DeWitt early on. DeWitt fought back but her comebacks were brief. Witchmere was vicious in her attacks and it looked like DeWitt was in trouble. Witchmere tried for a clothesline but DeWitt ducked and responded with a big drop kick. DeWitt followed up with a brief offense before blasting Witchmere with a flying knee. DeWitt covered for a pin and managed to pick up a victory over Witchmere. DeWitt looked as surprised as the audience for her upset victory, but her celebration was short as Witchmere attacked her after the match. Witchmere squeezed DeWitt in a head vise until she passed out.
Claudia Winter was with Andre Jordan and Lucia Mendez in a private office backstage. Winter congratulated Mendez on her victory and said she proved herself. Winter said she would continue to support Mendez and help her get the MoW Championship opportunity she wants. Mendez held Winter’s hands and thanked her for her support. Mendez then paused and said that was not true and that Winter has not helped her at all. Winter went to pull away from Mendez but bumped into Jordan who did not budge. Jordan leaned forward and said the only thing Winter has done is use them both. Mendez then pulled Winter and whipped her into a wall. Mendez and Jordan stood over Winter, held hands, and walked out.
Balance and Ridge faced MoW Team Champions “Badlands” Bill Stanton and The Convict in a non-title match. The match swayed back and forth as Ridge and Balance moved quickly and utilized some high risk moves before the champions came back with stiff shots and brawling. Balance hit his stride and delivered a whirlwind offense on Stanton. The Convict jumped to the floor and began to wrap his hand in a metal chain. The Convict looked ready to hit Balance when the former MoW Team Champions, Killer Malone and Marty Anderson, ran down to ringside to distract him. Balance hit a lifting DDT on Stanton and tagged in Ridge for a shooting star press. Ridge covered for a pin and earned a win against the MoW Team Champions.
Larry Loudmouth entered the ring to introduce the new MoW Champion, Mark Blood. Blood came down to the ring and Loudmouth congratulated him on winning the MoW Championship, noting that his father, Mike Blood, was the inaugural champion. Blood said he was proud to hold a title that has meant so much to him and wrestling fans for decades. Blood said battling Snarl was the toughest fight of his life, but it was worth it to be standing tall as champion. Loudmouth mentioned that Blood’s celebration was cut short by the appearance of Rex Anarchy who made a statement by injuring Blood’s mentor, The Rebel, with a chair shot. Blood said he would expect nothing less from Anarchy and confirmed that The Rebel was not seriously injured but could have been. Blood felt that Anarchy just showed up to be a disrupter, which has always been his M.O. Rex Anarchy then appeared from the audience, carrying a title belt over his shoulder. Anarchy hopped into the ring and said Blood likes to think he knows what is going on but is too short sighted. Anarchy held up the title belt and explained that it was the RFW Titan Championship, the top title in wrestling until C.W. Sunderland shut down RFW for a nostalgia trip called MoW. Anarchy said he is still Titan Champion and the true world champion. Blood refuted Anarchy and said that RFW was defunct and while the Titan Championship is a title that will be remembered as a prestigious title, it is no longer relevant. Anarchy disagreed and offered a challenge to Blood, title for title, to see who the real champion is. Blood said he was willing to defend the MoW Championship against all comers. Anarchy said that is all he wanted and told Blood to enjoy the championship reign while it lasts before leaving the ring.
