Masters of Wrestling came to Kansas City, MO with a title match, a big return, and more.

The show opened with The Rapid Fire Rebellion, MoW Champion Rex Anarchy and Witchmere, interrupting the ring announcer’s show introduction. Anarchy, wearing the Rapid Fire Wrestling Titan Championship instead of the MoW Championship, told the announcer to leave and took the microphone. Anarchy proclaimed that MoW was officially being taken over and demanded that the show be changed to Rapid Fire Wrestling, to set things right. Anarchy and Witchmere refused to leave the ring until MoW owner, C.W. Sunderland, apologizes for putting RFW on ice in favor of this nostalgic abomination.

Sunderland did not come out to the ring, but Mark and Tracy Blood did. They demanded RFR to stop their senseless quest and find a better way to honor the great things all of them did in the RFW ring. Both sides argued, the argument got physical, and a brawl erupted in the ring. MoW officials broke up the fight.

Kami King was backstage and saw a man wearing a Dr. Insidious mask standing at the end of a hallway. King pursued as the man fled around a corner, but when she turned that corner, she found John Austin Baker stepping out from an office. King questioned what Baker was doing. Baker said he was meeting with a trainer. King did not believe him and asked if he had been wearing the Dr. Insidious mask that he has been carrying around. Baker began to get defensive and asked why she would ask that. King told Baker not to lie to her. Baker became angry and stormed off.

Shannon Worth and Claudia Winter came down to the ring. Winter apologized to Worth for costing her the title match against Aurora Starkey and said she wanted to make it right. Winter asked MoW management to give Worth a rematch for the MoW Championship because she deserved a fair shot. Nobody from MoW management responded, but Maria Estrella’s music began to play, and she came to the ring, making her return to MoW. Estrella looked with disbelief as she said Winter would never change. Estrella questioned how Worth could be so foolish to align herself with Winter. Worth was offended and argued with Estrella. Winter tried to cheap shot Estrella, but Estrella blocked the attempt and clotheslined her. Worth attempted an attack on Estrella, however, Estrella turned toward her and Worth stopped, putting up her hands. Estrella stood her ground. Worth warned Estrella to stay out of her business before sliding out of the ring, pulling Winter out, and helping her backstage. Estrella stood in the ring and watched Worth and Winter retreat.

Cole Arcane came to the ring for a match against Snarl. Snarl came down to the ring alone, but it was not long before Andre Jordan visited ringside in support of Snarl. Arcane was overpowered by Snarl for much of the match but made a comeback and began to wear down the legend. Arcane used a death valley driver on Snarl and pumped himself up as he looked ready to finish off Snarl. Jordan dove into the ring and attacked Arcane from behind, ending the match in disqualification. Together, Snarl and Jordan brutalized Arcane in the ring, leaving him lying motionless in the ring.

Larry Loudmouth met with Mark and Tracy Blood backstage. Mark told Loudmouth that he and his sister had gone to MoW management and asked for a tornado team match against RFR, no holds barred, and the request was granted. The match will be the main event at the next show. Tracy said that they will stop Anarchy and Witchmere by any means necessary. Mark said they were ready for war.

MoW Champion Aurora Starkey came to the ring to address the crowd. Starkey said that being MoW Champion has been the greatest accomplishment of her career. She talked about following in the footsteps of her father, Gordon Starkey, and she is proud to carry his legacy forward. Starkey was interrupted by Lucia Mendez. Mendez climbed into the ring and told Starkey to quit the boring, sappy father/daughter speech. Mendez said MoW needs to look forward, not look back, and said that she would be the right person to move MoW into the future. Mendez challenged Starkey to a title match. Starkey accepted the challenge and said she looked forward to humbling Mendez.

The MoW Team Championship was on the line as Marty Anderson and Killer Malone looked to regain the titles against “Badlands” Bill Stanton and The Convict. Anderson and Malone worked well together to build momentum early in the match. A well-concealed eye poke by The Convict helped him turn the tables on Anderson, allowing the champions to get the upper hand. Stanton and The Convict cut Anderson off from tagging in Malone. Anderson struggled until he pulled off a surprise spinebuster on Stanton. Anderson used the opportunity to tag in a hot Malone who cleared house. Malone was in firm control, but Stanton pulled a chain out from under the ring and wrapped it around his fist. The Convict tried to whip Malone into the ropes where Stanton was ready to strike with the chain. Malone spotted the chain and ducked between the ropes, colliding his shoulder with Stanton’s midsection and knocking him off the apron. Malone spun around and blasted The Convict with a knockout punch. Malone covered for a pin and got the three count, securing victory and the MoW Team Championship for he and Anderson. Malone and Anderson celebrated their victory in the ring as Stanton and The Convict regrouped on the outside, furious.
