Masters of Wrestling came to Colorado Springs, CO, looking for answers.
The show started with Larry Loudmouth inviting The Rebel to the ring to explain why he turned on the Blood family last week. The Rebel explained that he built Rapid Fire Wrestling, handed it over to C.W. Sunderland to make it better. The Rebel admitted that Sunderland did but then threw it in the trash to revive MoW, a promotion killed off over two decades ago. The Rebel said that RFW was the modern MoW, Sunderland had it in his grasp, but tossed it aside, ruining something The Rebel worked so hard to create. The Rebel revealed that he was the one responsible for bringing the Rapid Fire Rebellion to MoW and will use it to destroy what Sunderland loves most.
Mark and Tracy Blood came down to the ring to confront The Rebel. The Blood siblings said The Rebel is like family to them and they do not understand why he turned his back on them. The Rebel showed remorse and told them they were merely in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Rebel told them to stand down. When Mark and Tracy refused, MoW Champion Rex Anarchy and Witchmere attacked them from behind. The Rebel watched on as the Rapid Fire Rebellion mercilessly beat down Mark and Tracy Blood.
Cole Arcane was walking backstage looking at the camera. He said he heard what Andre Jordan and Snarl said about him last week. Arcane said if they want to take him out, he would be happy to meet them in the ring. Arcane said he had a special guest partner to help even the odds. He stopped at a door and knocked on it. The door opened and Arcane smiled, clasping hands with someone unseen inside the dressing room.
Shannon Worth was in singles action against Yurei. Worth’s manager, Claudia Winter, stood by at ringside. Yurei put up a good fight against Worth early on and busted Worth’s lip open. Worth made a comeback and blasted Yurei with a spinning elbow before covering her for a pinfall victory. An enraged Shannon Worth continued to attack Yurei after the match, causing Maria Estrella to run down to ringside and make the save. Estrella was hit from behind by Claudia Winter. Winter used a leg scissor choke hold on Estrella while Worth stomped on her.
A production assistant asked Kami King if she had seen John Austin Baker because he was supposed to be in an upcoming match. King said she had no idea where Baker was or what he was doing. King walked away. The camera caught sight of a man, dressed in Baker’s duster jacket and wrestling attire but wearing a Dr. Insidious mask, lurking in the shadows watching King.
Lucia Mendez was in action against Meghan DeWitt. Mendez was looking to send a message to MoW Champion, Aurora Starkey, and tried to use DeWitt to do it. Mendez was firmly in control of the match until DeWitt powered out of a submission and fed off the audience’s energy, making a comeback. DeWitt had momentum, but Mendez countered an attempt at a cobra clutch and transitioned into a triangle hold. DeWitt tried to escape but was forced to submit. Mendez was declared the winner. After getting her hand raised, Mendez pointed at DeWitt, who was still writhing in pain on the mat, and spoke into the camera, telling Starkey that she will do the same to her and become MoW Champion.
The Convict and “Badlands” Bill Stanton sat backstage in quiet contemplation. Stanton wondered aloud if they had not tried to cheat, would they still be MoW Team Champions. The Convict asked if they should play it straight going forward. After a pause, both men burst into laughter. Balance and Ridge were walking by and commented on how upbeat The Convict and Stanton were considering Killer Malone and Marty Anderson put them in their place. The Convict and Stanton stopped laughing. After Balance and Ridge walked away, Stanton muttered that they needed to get what was coming to them.
Andre Jordan and Snarl came down to the ring for their main event match against Cole Arcane and his mystery partner. Arcane came out alone and stood in the aisle with a microphone in hand. Arcane said he heard that a wrestling legend had come backstage to visit. He asked the legend if he wanted to have some fun, and the legend said yes. Arcane then introduced his partner, Super Century Strong Fighter and New Revolution Wrestling League icon, Hardcore Adam! Hardcore Adam stepped into the arena to a huge applause, making his first MoW appearance in nearly a quarter century. Jordan and Snarl were livid as Arcane and Adam and made their way to the ring.
Cole Arcane started things off with Andre Jordan. The two went back and forth until Arcane picked up momentum. The audience burst into anxious applause as Hardcore Adam tagged in and continued the offense on Jordan. Jordan hit Adam with a drop kick and made a tag to Snarl. Snarl and Adam stood across from each other as the crowd chanted “MoW!” and “SCSF!” over and over. Snarl and Adam locked up in the middle of the ring. Snarl initially overpowered Adam, but Adam made a comeback before tagging in Arcane. Arcane kept the pressure on Snarl but was kicked in the back by Jordan while running off the ropes. Snarl attacked and then worked with Jordan to keep Arcane in the corner. Snarl and Jordan made frequent tags as they separated Arcane from Adam, preventing Arcane from tagging out. Arcane managed to hit a surprise DDT on Jordan and crawled to the corner to tag in Adam. Adam stormed the ring, taking out Jordan as well as Snarl. Jordan stood up to Adam but was driven to the mat with a sidewalk slam. Adam tagged in Arcane. Arcane rode the momentum, hit Jordan with a running bulldog, and then pointed to Adam, prompting the crowd to cheer. Arcane tagged in Adam, who used a daisy cutter on Jordan, and covered for a pin. Arcane blocked Snarl from breaking up the pin and Adam picked up the pinfall victory. Cole Arcane and Hardcore Adam celebrated in the ring, with Arcane leading the audience in a “Hardcore Adam!” chant.
