Masters of Wrestling brought intense action, two title matches, and a musical guest to Nashville, TN.
The Rapid Fire Rebellion stormed the ring before the show could start. The Rebel demanded that Mike Blood meet him in the ring for a fight. The Rebel promised to send Blood out of MoW forever. MoW Champion Rex Anarchy dared Mark and Tracy Blood to join their father at ringside so he and Witchmere can send them packing as well. Mike Blood came out, alone, to accept the challenge. The Rebel told his RFR partners to leave ringside so he and Mike could settle their issues alone.
The Rebel and Mike Blood ignored formalities and began slugging it out from the bell. Mike slowed the pace after a takedown and wore down The Rebel’s arm and shoulder. The Rebel struggled, having to push out of several pin attempts as Mike kept him grounded. The Rebel forced his way out of Mike’s clutches and began to hit him with drop kicks, clotheslines, and body splashes. The Rebel continued to build offense and had Mike in position for a running bulldog. Mike reversed the bulldog into a back suplex, causing The Rebel’s neck to land awkwardly across the top turnbuckle. As Mike was building up a comeback, Anarchy and Witchmere ran down to ringside. Before Anarchy and Witchmere could interfere, Mark and Tracy Blood burst down the aisle and began to brawl with them. Mike Blood used a Boston crab submission on The Rebel, who thrashed his arms toward the ropes but his attempt to reach them was in vain. The Rebel was forced to submit, and Mike Blood was declared the victor.
Mike Blood celebrated with his children in the ring. Meanwhile, The Rebel hobbled away from the ring, looking for support from Rex Anarchy and Witchmere. They embraced The Rebel but quickly slammed him down to the floor. Anarchy and Witchmere walked off, leaving The Rebel in a heap. The Blood family stepped out of the ring and surrounded The Rebel, staying until medical staff could tend to him.
Maria Estrella was backstage preparing for her upcoming match when she was confronted by the evening’s musical guest and Rapid Fire Wrestling alumni, Jessie Vega. Estrella and Vega were close friends before Vega rejected Estrella, causing the two to begin a bitter rivalry. Estrella did not look happy to see Vega, but Vega pleaded with Estrella to listen to her. Vega told Estrella that she felt terrible about their falling out in RFW. Vega said Estrella was a great friend and Vega admitted that she ruined everything. Vega apologized. Estrella accepted her apology but then said she needed to get ready for her match. Vega wished her well and left. Estrella watched Vega leave.
The MoW Team Championships were on the line as The Bomb Squad looked to regain the titles against Killer Malone and Marty Anderson. The Bomb Squad came out strong in the opening minutes of the match, with Terry and Bobby Bombay tagging frequently and keeping Anderson from his partner. Bobby hit Anderson with a lariat and covered for a pin, but Anderson kicked out. Anderson tried to make a tag to Malone, but his attempts continued to be stopped. Terry went for a lariat, but Anderson dodged and slammed him down with a spinebuster. Anderson was slow to make a cover, allowing Terry to kick out of the pin. Anderson once again tried to reach Malone but was pulled away. The Bomb Squad continued to control the match until Anderson reversed an Irish whip, sending Bobby hard into a turnbuckle. As Bobby stumbled out of the corner, Anderson crushed him with a spinebuster. Anderson used the opportunity to drag himself to his corner and tag in a hot and angry Killer Malone. Malone blasted Terry Bombay on the apron and then focused his rage on Bobby. The Bomb Squad stopped Malone’s frenzy, but it was not long before Terry was nailed with a knockout punch by Malone. Malone covered for a pin. Bobby climbed through the ropes to try and break the count, but Anderson blocked him and dropped him with a DDT. The referee counted to three, awarding Killer Malone and Marty Anderson the win, successfully defending the MoW Team Championships.
Maria Estrella came to the ring for a match against Claudia Winter. Winter’s client, Shannon Worth, joined her at ringside for support. Estrella overpowered Winter from the get-go. Winter scrambled to escape from Estrella but found escape impossible. Estrella reached down to pull Winter up, but Winter surprised her with an armbar. Winter began to show off her skills with submission holds, wearing down Estrella. Winter used a leg scissor choke on Estrella, hoping to make her submit, however, Estrella was able to release herself from the hold. Estrella regained her momentum and began to overwhelm Winter. Worth watched on from the outside with concern. Sensing her manager was in trouble, Worth climbed the ring apron and began taunting Estrella. The referee argued with Worth to get off the apron, but she refused to leave. Jessie Vega ran down to ringside with an acoustic guitar in hand. Vega yanked Worth off the apron before smashing the guitar over Worth’s head. Back in the ring, Estrella scooped up Winter and slammed her with a running powerslam. Maria Estrella covered for a pin to win the match. Vega nodded to Estrella before leaving Estrella to celebrate in the ring.
Larry Loudmouth was backstage with Snarl to ask him about his loss against Cole Arcane last week. Snarl admitted he lost the match but reminded everyone that he was the one who walked out on his own, not Arcane. Snarl said Arcane is as tough as they come but is no match for him. Arcane interrupted and said Snarl is the toughest man he has ever fought, and he respects Snarl, but Snarl cannot possibly believe the words he was saying. Snarl warned Arcane to back off and accept his place as second rate. Arcane got in Snarl’s face, Snarl pushed Arcane back, and Arcane fired back with punches. A brawl broke out as Loudmouth escaped and officials worked to pull the two men apart.
Jessie Vega appeared on stage with her band to perform her hit sing, “Endless Desires”. Vega told the audience she loved wrestling and it felt good to be in front of the fans again. At the conclusion of the song, Maria Estrella came out to the stage. Estrella grabbed Vega’s arm and raised it in the air, triggering an applause from the crowd. Estrella and Vega hugged, and Estrella led another round of applause for Vega’s performance.
The main event featured Lucia Mendez challenging Aurora Starkey for the MoW Championship. Mendez had Andre Jordan in her corner for support. The champion built momentum early in the match, keeping Mendez from getting in much offense. Starkey went for a clothesline, but Mendez dodged with a baseball slide, jumped to her feet, and dropped Starkey with a neckbreaker. Mendez wasted no time attacking Starkey, wearing her down with strikes and submissions. Mendez had Starkey down on the mat with a sleeper hold until Starkey began to push off the mat, breaking the hold, and crushing Mendez with a dragon suplex. Mendez continued to fight but the champion answered her attacks with a final series of powerful slams, culminating with a powerbomb. Aurora Starkey covered for a pin and won the match, defending the MoW Championship.
Aurora Starkey’s post-match celebration was cut short as Cate Stiles’ music began to play. The former champion returned to MoW to confront Starkey. Stiles stood face-to-face with Starkey before backing off, pointing to the MoW Championship, and leaving. Starkey held the MoW Championship belt high in the air as Stiles turned around in the aisle, smirked at Starkey, and left the arena.
