MoW #061 Results

Washington DC hosted the final stop before the War Stories supershow. Commissioner Tiger Johnson has a major announcement, Kami King vs. Alexandra Morgan, John Austin Baker vs. Marty Anderson, tension rose between The Lost Ones and The Navigators, the MoW Championship scene hits a fever pitch, and more.

Tiger Johnson’s Big Announcement

Tiger Johnson came to the ring to announce two number one contender’s matches taking place at War Stories, one for the men’s MoW Championship and one for the women’s MoW Championship. The winners of those matches would go on to face the champion at Final Round 2021 in December.

Johnson explained that each match will be a four way match, first pin or submission wins. The men’s match will feature John Austin Baker, Mark Blood, Jax Rivers, and Tornado. The women’s match will feature Maria Estrella, Kami King, Alexandra Morgan, and Shannon Worth. Johnson wished all the competitors best of luck.

Shannon Worth was watching the announcement backstage. Claudia Winter stepped up next to her and Worth smiled broadly. Winter said that she set it up, and now Worth can seize the opportunity and be one step away from becoming the champion she deserves to be.

The Brave Hero

Kimberly Kennedy stepped into the ring and invited Jax Rivers for an interview. Kennedy asked Rivers his thoughts on the MoW Championship number one contender’s match at War Stories. Rivers said he was looking to make the most of the opportunity because the MoW Championship has eluded him. He has been champion in many promotions, but the MoW Championship would be extra special to hold.

A young woman, dressed in black, entered the ring from the crowd, handing a bouquet of dead roses to Rivers. The woman said she was certain big things were going to happen to Rivers at War Stories. The woman left ringside leaving Rivers confused.

John Austin Baker vs. Marty Anderson

The aggression between John Austin Baker and Marty Anderson came to a head in the MoW ring. The match quickly became a trade of fists before Anderson tackled Baker to slow things down. Anderson tried to wear out Baker on the mat, but Baker fought out of Anderson’s clutches.

Baker began to brutalize Anderson and nearly pinned Anderson following a sidewalk slam. Anderson made a comeback, but it was short lived. Baker bloodied Anderson’s nose with a forearm and then continued his attack. Baker hit a dazed Anderson with a lariat and covered for a pin. Anderson was unable to kick out and Baker picked up the win.

Baker was not content on letting the match be the end of their feud. Baker continued to assault Anderson, bloodying him even more. The savage attack brought out Anderson’s friend, Killer Malone. Malone was successful in fending off Baker from Anderson, but Baker nailed Malone with a low blow and focused his rage on Malone. This brought out MoW Champion Cole Arcane, who was scheduled to face Malone for the title at War Stories. Arcane came to Malone’s rescue and fought off Baker.

Arcane stood in the ring and kept an eye on Baker outside the ring. Malone recovered, but seemed unsteady on his feet. Malone stumbled backward into Arcane’s back. Malone, instinctively, spun around and belted Arcane with a knockout punch. The MoW Champion crashed to the mat. Malone stood over Arcane. Malone stood over Arcane, realizing what he had done, but just stared at him. Malone left the champion laying on the mat and left the ring to check on Anderson.

Echoes of the Past

Kimberly Kennedy returned to the ring and invited The Navigators, Aidan North and Pete Arrow, to join her. Kennedy recapped last week’s events when The Lost Ones attacked and Mysterie kissed an unconscious North. Kennedy asked North about the relationship between Mysterie and himself.

North admitted that he and Mysterie had a brief relationship when they were both in Rapid Fire Wrestling. Life took them both in different directions and the relationship ended. North insisted he never forget about Mysterie, but felt things did not work out. North said he wished things had been different, but he learned to move on, and she should, too. North then said that he and Arrow have one thing in mind, winning the MoW Team Championships from The Lost Ones at War Stories. North suggested The Lost Ones should focus more on defending the titles than looking for revenge over events from five years ago.

Mysterie stepped out from behind the entrance curtain with her Lost Ones partners, MoW Team Champions Grave and Giant Wraith. Mysterie assured The Navigators that defending the titles was their highest priority, but she questioned whether North was being honest about moving on. North told her to stop but Mysterie said she felt something stir in him when their lips touched. She said maybe there was a way they could make things right between them after all.

Kami King vs. Alexandra Morgan

Two of the competitors in the women’s number one contender’s match competed in singles action as Kami King met Alexandra Morgan. King got off to a strong start but had little time to get comfortable before she was thrown across the ring by Morgan. Morgan overpowered King and wrestled her to the mat. The smaller King was able to slip free from Morgan’s headlock and use a wrist lock to turn things around.

King wore down Morgan with a methodical, focused offense, keeping the pressure on Morgan’s arm and back to limit her strength advantage. Morgan tried for a suplex but did not have the strength to hold on to King. King tried for a superkick, but Morgan dodged and used an exploder suplex. Morgan used a spinning side slam and covered King to pick up a pinfall victory.

Kimberly Kennedy stepped into the ring to speak with Alexandra Morgan. Kennedy asked Morgan about the number one contender’s match at War Stories. Morgan said she will be up against tough competition but felt confidence in her chances to win. Morgan admitted that she wants to get her hands on MoW Champion Tracy Blood but did not care who holds the belt after War Stories. Whether it will be Blood or Cate Stiles, she will be coming for the championship.

This Means War

MoW Champion Cole Arcane was seen backstage being checked on by medical staff. Arcane threw an ice pack against a wall and kicked some equipment out of his way. Arcane stormed off down the hall and ran into Kimberly Kennedy, who was on her way back from the ring. Kennedy stopped the champion and asked him what was wrong. Arcane was furious because he felt Killer Malone and he were the ones that were having an athletic competition while everyone else at War Stories were at war. Arcane said he did not care if Malone hit him by accident, he got the message loud and clear. Arcane promised to settle the score with Malone at War Stories.

A Woman with a Bullseye

Cate Stiles came to the ring to speak to the audience about her title opportunity against MoW Champion Tracy Blood at War Stories. Stiles admitted that Blood was a challenge but seemed to have her hands full with other things, mainly an issue with NCSF. Stiles said that if she were Tracy, she would be worried about her chances of losing the MoW Championship against the best wrestler in the world.

Tracy Blood and Mark Blood came down to the ring. Tracy said that NCSF will stay away from their match if they know what is good for them and added that she was tired of hearing Stiles think so highly of herself. Tracy promised to prove that Stiles belongs a step below greatness and when her brother Mark wins the number one contender’s match at War Stories, the Blood family will be on course to reclaim their throne in MoW.

Stiles and Tracy got into a shoving match. Mark broke up the scuffle but gave Tracy an opportunity to strike Stiles with a head kick. NCSF members Tornado and Alexandra Morgan ran down to the ring and brawled with the Blood siblings. Stiles recovered and used an ankle lock on Tracy. Mark pulled Tracy away and they escaped up the ramp, looking back at Stiles with NCSF standing behind her. Mark turned to leave just as Rex Anarchy ran out from the behind the backstage curtain to clothesline him. Anarchy and Mark Blood brawled. Tracy Blood had a meltdown, screaming that everyone was out to get her.
