Sioux Falls, SD was home to another night of Masters of Wrestling action.
Seeking an Apology
Kami King stepped into the ring to open the the show. King was upset that Paisley Alden bumped into her backstage on her skateboard, causing King to spill her coffee. King said it was rude of Alden not to apologize and demanded one.
Alden came down to ringside and apologized. King felt that Alden was not being sincere. Alden did not feel that the incident was serious enough to make this a big deal. King said it was about to become a big deal and challenged Alden to a match.
Kami King vs. Paisley Alden
King was aggressive from the start and kept Alden on the defensive. King was trying to send a message to Alden and yelled at her as she continued her attack. King lined up Alden for a super kick, but Alden dodged and fought back.
Alden tried to pin King after a tornado DDT, but King kicked out. Alden continued to build momentum until King took her out at the knees. King rallied a comeback but Alden rolled King up by surprise with a small package. It worked! Alden picked up her first victory in MoW and looked shocked as her hand was raised. King rolled outside the ring and watched Alden celebrate, looking just as shocked in her defeat.
Like Old Times
Maria Estrella and Jessie Vega were backstage. Vega congratulated Estrella on becoming number one contender. Estrella said she was ready for Cate Stiles and was scheduled to address the audience about her opportunity later in the show.
Vega suggested that she and Estrella go out for a night of clubbing after the show to celebrate, like old times. Estrella liked the idea and Vega said she would be waiting for her.
He’s Watching
Jax Rivers came to the ring and called out Dr. Insidious. Rivers said Dr. Insidious made his statement at War Stories and now Rivers was ready to make his.
Dr. Insidious did not respond. Rivers gave up waiting and began to leave the ring. He paused, stepped back through the ropes and looked at the turnbuckles. All the turnbuckle pads were Dr. Insidious masks.
The Next Team in Line
Andre Jordan, Snarl, and Lucia Mendez were backstage for an interview with Kimberly Kennedy. Kennedy talked about Jordan and Snarl’s relationship as a tag team. Jordan said he and Snarl may be an unusual pair, but they have found mutual respect. Snarl admitted he does not get along with many people, but said Jordan was a good partner who did not bother him too much.
Mendez wrapped her arms around Jordan’s waist and said that her man and “Gran Jefe” Snarl are the best team in MoW and want the MoW Team Championships.
The Navigators, Aiden North and Pete Arrow, interrupted and said they were not finished with The Lost Ones, vowing to defeat them and regain the titles. Mendez told them to get back in line, but North said Jordan and Snarl would need to go through The Navigators if they want to get to The Lost Ones.
Our Juvenile Delinquent
Mark Blood came to ringside with a folder full of documents. Blood said that the MoW Championship is the most prestigious championship in pro wrestling. It has been carried and defended by great men since its inception in 1993.
Blood said that the current MoW Champion, Cole Arcane, has tarnished that legacy. Blood had proof that Arcane was not someone who should be representing MoW. Blood opened the folder and began to read documentation stating that Arcane was in a dangerous street gang in his youth and was arrested for burglary.
Cole Arcane was not in the building to respond, but number one contender Tornado was. Tornado confronted Blood in the ring and criticized Blood for trying to squeeze himself into the title match at Final Round. Blood warned Tornado to back off, but Tornado ripped the papers from Blood’s hand and tossed them away. Blood and Tornado had a tense staredown before Blood adjusted his suit and tie and left the ring. Tornado watched Blood leave with a look of disgust.
A Dangerous Deal
Maria Estrella joined Kimberly Kennedy in the ring to discuss her title match with MoW Champion Cate Stiles at Final Round in December. Estrella said that she was the first woman to hold a championship in MoW history and admitted her desire to be champion again. Estrella has battled Stiles before and said she is prepared to get in the ring with her again.
The interview was interrupted by the leader of The Diamond Peak, Claudia Winter. Winter congratulated Estrella on being number one contender but said that Shannon Worth’s time to be champion has come and asked Estrella to graciously forfeit the number one contender ship to Worth. Estrella scoffed at the idea and told Winter she had lost her mind. Winter said she was not surprised by Estrella’s answer but told her not to make up her mind so easily.
Winter pointed to the ringside video screen, which switched to a camera backstage. The rest of The Diamond Peak were there. Preston Montgomery and Pierre Laurent were holding Jessie Vega’s hands and feet to the floor while Shannon Worth crouched over Vega with a metal pipe pressed against throat. Worth yelled at Estrella to hand over the number one contendership or she would crush Vega’s throat, ending her singing career.
Estrella, horrified, forfeited her opportunity, pushed past Winter, and ran backstage as The Diamond Peak scattered backstage. Estrella reached Vega, who was shaken, coughing, and upset. Estrella sat on the floor and held Vega, stroking her hair to comfort her.
Tracy Blood vs. Alexandra Morgan
Tracy Blood called out Alexandra Morgan for being in her way of regaining the MoW Championship, prompting this explosive main event match.
Blood trash talked Morgan as the match started. Morgan responded with a big shove that sent Blood to the mat. Blood stood up but Morgan bowled over her with a body crash. Morgan overpowered Blood, causing the former champion to escape the ring.
Blood returned to the ring but still found herself as the mercy of Morgan. Morgan caught Blood trying to escape the ring again, pulling her back into the ring by her hair. Morgan clubbed Blood with forearms to the back. Blood backed into a corner and pleaded with Morgan to stop. Morgan considered, but then stomped on one of Blood’s bare feet. Morgan tossed Blood out of the corner and then charged for a big boot.
Blood ducked the boot and hit Morgan with a knee strike. Blood started a dominant comeback. Morgan was rocked by a barrage of strikes before Blood slowed things down with submissions, wearing down Morgan’s strength advantage.
Blood used a Boston Crab on Morgan until Morgan reached the ropes to break the hold. Blood looked ready for a head kick, but instead of standing up, Morgan charged at Blood and speared her into the turnbuckle. Blood was stunned and Morgan used a spinning side slam. Morgan covered Blood with a pin and won the match.
Alexandra Morgan celebrated her victory to close out the show.
