State of MoW 2022

Hello, Masters of Wrestling fans. My name is C.W. Sunderland, the founder and president of MoW. I like to start the year with a look at our product today and our plans for the months ahead.

2022 is going to be a big year for MoW. I have laid out our plans below and you can expect more details to follow in the months ahead.

Thank you for being fans of Masters of Wrestling. We wouldn’t be here without you.

Best regards,
C.W. Sunderland

Moving Forward

We hosted an unforgettable Final Round supershow in December that changed the course of MoW. We have all new champions in Tornado, Shannon Worth, and the team of Andre Jordan and Snarl. Claudia Winter saved her career in a brutal steel cage match. Longtime rivals Cole Arcane and Rex Anarchy united in a tag team match. And that is just a small piece of what went on this year! 2022 is going to be a fun year where anything can happen.

We relaunched MoW in 2019 and spent much of those early days honoring our past. We watched as 2020 and 2021 defined what today’s version of MoW is. 2022 is the start of the next chapter of MoW’s story. We are pleased to announce changes to our main show, the launch of a new show, and exciting news about our roster.

MoW Horizon

Our flagship show, Masters of Wrestling, received a name change throughout 1995 when we rebranded it to Superstar Wrestling. We did this to signify that our show had grown to become a major wrestling show with superstar-level wrestlers on our roster. This year, we are changing the name of our show to signify our focus on what is next on the horizon.

Introducing MoW Horizon. Horizon is the same show you’ve come to know and love but carries the spirit of MoW’s mission on its sleeve. Look for MoW Horizon this spring.

MoW Rapid Fire

The MoW roster has grown since our relaunch in 2019 and it includes veterans and rookies, all contributing unique styles and personalities to our product. We have become too big to fit everyone onto MoW Horizion so we’ve come up with a new show to bring you more action than ever.

MoW Rapid Fire is our new show that strips MoW down to the in-ring action and gives more opportunities to wrestlers who don’t have a larger presence on MoW Horizon.

MoW Rapid Fire debuts this spring between new episodes of MoW Horizion.

2022 Schedule

We ran a spring and fall season during 2021 but while we liked the schedule we felt the summer break was too long. This year, we will have three seasons of MoW action.

Our spring season will feature four episodes of MoW Horizion, three episodes of MoW Rapid Fire, and our “Level Up” supershow.

We will return in the summer with another four episodes of MoW Horizon, three episodes of MoW Rapid Fire, and our “War on the Shore” supershow.

Finally, we enter the fall season with five episodes of MoW Horizon, four episodes of MoW Rapid Fire, and the Final Round 2022 supershow.

2022 Roster Update

We believe the MoW roster is the best we’ve ever had but wanted to make a few improvements for 2022.

The MoW tag team division produces many of the most popular stories and matches on our shows. We will be putting more emphasis on tag team wrestling throughout the year and adding to the roster to help make the tag team scene more competitive than ever.

MoW has a strong women’s division and much of our success in recent years can be attributed to the hard work that our women have put into our shows. The women’s division lacks the size of our men’s division and we believe it is vital to give the women a larger roster in 2022 and beyond.

We began our search for new women to join our roster at the same time another wrestling promotion was preparing to say farewell.

Wildheart Wrestling Club

Wildheart Wrestling Club began as an all-woman wrestling promotion in 2018 and was home to some of MoW’s stars, including MoW Champion Shannon Worth, former MoW Champion Aurora Starkey, The Diamond Peak leader Claudia Winter, and Meghan DeWitt.

WWC announced plans to disband late last year and MoW has agreed to add every WWC wrestler to our roster. We are thrilled to give these talented women a new wrestling home and give our fans the best women’s wrestling yet.

In addition to signing the WWC roster, we are happy to announce that we will be giving WWC fans the opportunity to see their favorite stars one more time. MoW is working with WWC to produce their farewell show. We will present the WWC farewell show in February.

MoW 2022

We are excited to bring you the best year of MoW yet and I hope you love what is to come. Enjoy the show!
