Jessie Vega w/Maria Estrella vs. Carolina Deene
MoW’s spring supershow started with Jessie Vega looking to teach Carolina Deene respect.
Vega built a quick offensive momentum and had Deene scrambling to retreat only to find Maria Estrella blocking her exit from the ring. Vega tried to put away Deene with a pin after a face breaker but Deene kicked out.
Deene was thrown into a turnbuckle but dodged a body splash by Vega and giving Deene the opportunity to make a comeback. Deene taunted Vega as she held her down with a holds and dragged her face into the mat. Deene also saved some verbal barbs for Estrella on the outside. Deene setup for a frankensteiner but Vega ducked and countered with a clothesline off the rebound.
Vega and Deene traded offense until Vega regained the advantage. Vega had Deene in position and jumped off the top turnbuckle for a frogsplash but Deene rolled out of the way causing Vega to crash to the mat.
Vega began to stand and recover but Deene rolled her up with a schoolboy pin. Deene pulled Vega’s trunks for leverage and pulled off a victory.
Carolina Deene was declared the winner but didn’t stick around to celebrate. Maria Estrella checked on Jessie Vega and the woman looked in the aisle where Deene was gloating on her way backstage.
Alexandra Morgan vs. Sheena
Two of MoW’s strongest women met in a powerful collision. Sheena tested her strength against Alexandra Morgan and found herself getting pushed backward before jabbing a knee to Morgan’s gut.
Sheena battered Morgan with strikes before scooping her up for body slams. Sheena suplexed Morgan into a corner and then shoved her boot into Morgan’s face until the referee got involved.
Sheena threw Morgan off the ropes and tried to connect with a running boot but Morgan anticipated Sheena’s devastating finisher and dodged, grabbed Sheena, and used an exploder suplex.
Morgan showed off an impressive mix of strength and speed against Sheena. Morgan threw Sheena into the ropes and delivered a massive back body drop that shocked Sheena. Morgan punished Sheena with slams and tried for pins but Sheena kicked out.
Morgan clobbered Sheena with running clotheslines but tried one too many times. Sheena caught Morgan with a big boot, went for a quick cover, and picked up the victory.
Sheena stood tall and celebrated her victory looking mean and ready for the next challenge.
MoW Team Championship Match
The Diamond Peak (Preston Montgomery and Pierre Laurent) w/Claudia Winter vs. Andre Jordan and Snarl (c) w/Lucia Mendez
The Diamond Peak faced their biggest test as a tag team against the championship team of Andre Jordan and Snarl. Jordan and Snarl’s experience was on display as they quickly took control of the match.
Claudia Winter coached her team from outside the ring and got herself involved when she climbed on the ring apron to distract the referee. Lucia Mendez pulled Winter down but the distraction was enough for Pierre Laurent to kick out of a pin.
The Diamond Peak started a comeback after Laurent ducked a clothesline from Snarl by going for a low dropkick to Snarl’s knees. Laurent and Preston Montgomery worked quickly against the MoW legend but could not keep him down. Snarl powered out of a sleeper hold and threw Laurent before tagging in Jordan.
Jordan was full of energy as he began a comeback for his team. Winter pounded on the mat to get Laurent and Montgomery fired up but they could not stop Jordan. Jordan dropkicked Montgomery off the ring apron, used a belly to belly suplex on Laurent, and then looked to his partner. Jordan tagged in Snarl which got a big reaction from the crowd. Snarl grabbed Laurent by the hair and setup for a powerbomb. Laurent locked his legs around Snarl’s neck and used the force of the powerbomb to pull Snarl down with him in a tumble. Laurent pulled Snarl’s legs, getting him in a pinning position. The referee began to count, Montgomery grabbed Jordan’s ankle to prevent him from breaking the pin, and Laurent successfully pinned Snarl in a huge upset victory.
Everyone, including Pierre Laurent and Preston Montgomery, were shocked as they were handed the MoW Team Championship belts. Claudia Winter stood next to her tag team champions with pride and the team celebrated before leaving the ring.
Snarl sat in the ring, stunned. Andre Jordan and Lucia Mendez tried to comfort him but he pushed Jordan away and left the ring, leaving Jordan and Mendez confused.
Kagero Sato vs. Tracy Blood
Kagero Sato made her MoW supershow debut as Tracy Blood’s handpicked opponent. Blood and Sato tested each other’s mat skills before sparring with kicks. Sato surprised Blood with a body shot before suplexing Blood. Blood recovered and then returned to a fighting stance.
Blood got a takedown on Sato and began twisting her knee and ankle. Sato struggled to free herself and found that Blood did lasting damage. Sato stepped gingerly on her leg and it slowed her down enough for Blood to further her offense.
Blood had Sato in position for a head kick but Sato surprised her with a standing drop kick first. Blood tumbled to the mat and recovered first but Sato was lying in wait and struck Blood with quick strikes before making a fiery comeback. Sato was in control as she attack Blood’s back and neck. Sato drilled Blood with a piledriver and went for a pin but Blood kicked out.
Blood tried to fight back on the offensive but Sato was quick to stop her at every attempt. Sato went for an octopus hold but couldn’t lock it in before Blood was able to escape. Blood made a comeback of her own before hitting Sato with a head kick. Blood covered but Sato grabbed a ring rope to break the pin.
Blood got more aggressive and lined up Sato for another head kick but Sato dodged, grabbed Blood’s legs and hoisted her on her shoulders. Sato whipped Blood forward and dropped her face-first to the mat. Blood stumbled to her feet but was caught in a tornado DDT. Kagero Sato covered for a pin and picked up a victory over Tracy Blood.
Jax Rivers vs. Killer Malone w/Claudia Winter
Jax Rivers’s plot to destroy The Diamond Peak led to a brutal showdown against Claudia Winter’s newest recruit, Killer Malone.
Rivers locked up with Malone and outwrestled Malone early. Malone took advantage of Rivers’s uncharacteristically aggressive offense and was able to find a way to stop Rivers and flip the momentum. Malone slowly, methodically brutalized Rivers with fists, forearms, body slams, and back breakers. Rivers struggled to recover and attempts to fight back were quickly thwarted.
Malone swung for a knockout punch that Rivers ducked and responded with a surprise flapjack. Rivers covered for a pin but Malone kicked out. Rivers was still feeling the effects of Malone’s earlier assault and was slow to stand up. Malone got to his feet first and continued his attack.
Rivers slipped free of a German suplex and started a comeback rally. Malone was staggering in the center of the ring as Rivers ran off the ropes. As Rivers approached for a clothesline, Malone belted him with a knockout punch. Rivers stumbled back but stayed on his feet, bouncing off the ropes. Rivers was dazed but charged at Malone another time and was met with a second knockout punch. Rivers hit the mat and Malone covered for a pin to win the match.
Claudia Winter stood next to Killer Malone and held his arm high in victory. Malone gave an indifferent look at Jax Rivers who was beginning to stir on the mat. Malone left the ring but Winter stayed behind to introduce the MoW Champion, Shannon Worth, for the next match.
MoW Championship Match
Kassidy Fortune vs. Shannon Worth (c) w/Claudia Winter
Claudia Winter promoted Shannon Worth as the champion MoW has been waiting for and promised tonight would silence any doubters. The ring announcer introduced Kassidy Fortune and the challenger made her way down to the ring.
Fortune made her MoW supershow debut against Worth. Worth looked confident while Fortune looked eager to capture MoW’s highest prize.
Both women were on equal footing in the early minutes of the match. Fortune impressed the crowd by answering every throw, hold, and slam of Worth’s with one of her own. Worth, undaunted, kept at Fortune and grounded her with a snap suplex into the turnbuckle.
Worth commanded the match and kept the challenger down. Fortune struggled to fight off Worth’s mounted punches and had to work her way out of several submissions. Worth tried to Fortune but the challenger kicked out of each attempt. Worth whipped Fortune into the ropes and ran at her for a clothesline but Fortune had the same idea. A double clothesline sent both crashing to the mat.
Worth recovered first but Fortune surprised her with a fireman’s carry into a falcon arrow. Fortune held on for a pin but Worth kicked out. It was Fortune’s turn for a dominant performance. Fortune suplexed Worth clear out of the ring where the champion regrouped with Winter on the outside. Fortune didn’t want to give the Worth breathing rooms and dove through the ropes, knocking over Worth and Winter. Fortune dragged Worth into the ring and softened her up some more before attempting a cutter. Worth pushed Fortune away, spun her around, and caught her with a spinning forearm. Fortune hit the canvas with a thud and Worth covered for a pin.
Fortune kicked out before three, leaving Worth in disbelief. Worth got more aggressive until Fortune blocked a punch and dropped Worth with a cutter. Fortune covered for a pin but Worth got a shoulder up a hair before the three count. Fortune kept on Worth with an increasingly energetic assault that had the champion in a bad position. Fortune pinned Worth after a brainbuster but Worth managed to get her foot on a nearby ring rope to break the count.
Fortune continued the momentum and tried for another cutter but Worth held on, stayed on her feet, and pulled Fortune backward into a reverse vertical suplex. Fortune’s momentum was broken. Worth was slow to recover but was able to stop Fortune from trying a suplex of her own. Worth came back strong and tried to pin the challenger again following a piledriver. Fortune refused to quit, kicking out another time.
Fortune got to her feet and looked ready to fight but Worth out-maneuvered her before catching her with a spinning forearm. Fortune fell to the mat, Worth covered for a pin and successfully defended the MoW Championship, defeating Fortune.
Claudia Winter celebrated her champion as Shannon Worth stood in the ring, gloating while holding the MoW Championship belt over her head. Kassidy Fortune recovered outside the ring and watched Worth celebrating. Fortune smiled, shrugged, and began to walk backstage, slapping the fans’ hands on her way out.
MoW Championship Match
Cole Arcane vs. Tornado (c)
The main event of the evening saw Cole Arcane challenging Tornado in an attempt to regain the MoW Championship.
Both men shook hands before circling the canvas before locking up. Tornado asserted his control in the early minutes of the match. Arcane found himself on the defensive against a quick offense by Tornado. Tornado crashed into Arcane with body splash, a clothesline, and a drop kick before Arcane rolled outside to reevaluate his competition. Arcane regrouped and continued the match against Tornado.
Tornado threw Arcane into a turnbuckle and ran at him for a body splash. Arcane dodged, Tornado crashed against the top turnbuckle and fell back into the ring, catching his leg across the middle rope. Arcane took advantage and held Tornado’s leg on the rope while viciously striking it. Arcane stepped back and gave a big boot to Tornado’s knee. The impact freed Tornado from the rope but he writhed in pain on the canvas.
Arcane focused his attack on Tornado’s leg which strategically kept the high flying champion grounded. Tornado escaped from Arcane’s clutches, hobbling away to get some distance. Arcane kicked Tornado behind the knee which dropped him to the mat once again. Arcane pulled down Tornado’s knee pad, lifted his foot high in the air and drove it back down toward the mat.
Arcane attempted a running bulldog but Tornado’s knee buckled and he fell out of Arcane’s grasp, saving him from the impact. Arcane grabbed Tornado by the hair and began to pull him to his feet. Tornado rolled Arcane up with a surprise small package. Arcane kicked out but Tornado fought through the pain in his leg and started fighting back against the challenger. Tornado shook out his damaged knee while Arcane was down following a neckbreaker.
Tornado shifted his offense to a slower pace but found it effective again Arcane. Tornado performed a stun gun on Arcane, sending him chest first across the top rope. With Arcane in position, Tornado slowly climbed the turnbuckle to go for a corkscrew splash. Arcane recovered too soon and ran into the nearest rope which caused Tornado to drop crotch-first onto the top turnbuckle. Arcane climbed the turnbuckle to try and superplex Tornado but the champion traded fists with him instead. Tornado hit Arcane with a headbutt that sent him falling to the mat. Tornado climbed back into position and hit Arcane with the corkscrew splash. Tornado covered for the pin and won the match.
Tornado walked tenderly on his leg but had no problem holding the MoW Championship belt over his head to celebrate with the fans. Cole Arcane walked to the arena entrance before looking back at Tornado. Arcane gave the champion a long, cold stare before leaving. Tornado climbed the turnbuckles to pose and continue to celebrate as the show closed.
