Andre Jordan Faces the Darkness
The show opened with Andre Jordan, the new number one contender for the MoW Championship, and Lucia Mendez coming down to the ring. Jordan talked about his championship opportunity and said he has worked hard for years and is ready to challenge Killer Malone at Final Round.
Jordan said he had another challenge in front of him first and that was Dr. Insidious. Jordan didn’t know why Insidious attacked him or where he was but Jordan said he would return to the ring at the end of the night and wanted Insidious to come fight him.
What Will It Take?
Meghan DeWitt search backstage for Tracy Blood. When DeWitt found Blood, she confronted her and challenged her once again to a match. Blood shook her head and said she still wasn’t impressed. DeWitt was persistent, frustrated, and asked Blood what it would take for her to accept a match.
Blood figured DeWitt wouldn’t give up so she got MoW Commissioner Tiger Johnson to setup a match between DeWitt and Sheena. If DeWitt won the match, Blood agreed to face DeWitt at Final Round. Blood heard DeWitt’s music begin to play in the arena and told her she had better hurry up.
Meghan DeWitt vs. Sheena
Meghan DeWitt had a huge challenge on her hands against the dominant Sheena. DeWitt fought hard in the opening minutes of the match and rocked Sheena with a flurry of strikes and throws. DeWitt kept a constant attack on Sheena’s legs and tried to get her to submit to a figure four leglock. Sheena escaped the hold but DeWitt did not slow down.
Sheena stopped DeWitt’s attempt at a flying knee by catching her out of the air and smashing her down to the canvas. Sheena began a powerful comeback against DeWitt that included vicious kicks, forearms, body slams, and suplexes. Sheena attempted a running boot in the corner but DeWitt rolled out to safety and Sheena crashed into the turnbuckle. DeWitt hit Sheena with a flying knee and pinned her for the victory.
Tracy Blood came down to the ring to congratulate Meghan DeWitt and formally accept her challenge to a match at Final Round. Blood then teased a head kick to DeWitt but backed off and left.
A View from The Diamond Peak
Claudia Winter led The Diamond Peak to the ring and showed off her champions to the audience. Winter talked about MoW Champion Killer Malone’s title defense against Andre Jordan but wondered if Jordan would make it to Final Round given his problems with Dr. Insidious. Regardless of Jordan’s fate with Dr. Insidious, Winter was confident that Malone would defeat Jordan.
Winter announced that Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane would face Hardcore Adam and Tornado in a number one contender’s match for the MoW Team Championship but said no matter who wins, Preston Montgomery and Pierre Laurent will continue to show the world why they are the hot young stars and the future of MoW by defeating their opponents.
Winter then revealed that no one in MoW, since its inception in 1993, has ever held the MoW Championship for more than a year. Winter predicted that Shannon Worth would become the first person to accomplish that feat after Final Round. Winter admitted that Kami King was a good wrestler but won’t be able to stop Worth’s momentum.
The Diamond Peak stood tall in the ring and confident as they raised their title belts high into the air in unison.
MoW Team Championship Number One Contender’s Match
Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane vs. NCSF (Tornado and Hardcore Adam)
The Diamond Peak’s next challengers were to be determined in this number one contender’s match. Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane worked well together as they got the advantage on NCSF in the early minutes of the match.
Arcane tried to finish off Tornado with a running bulldog but the former MoW Champion countered with a suplex. Tornado crawled to his corner and tagged in Hardcore Adam who made a big comeback for NCSF. Adam used a cutter on Arcane and went for a pin that Anarchy broke up.
Adam fought hard but the frequent tags from Anarchy and Arcane got the better of him. Anarchy and Arcane separated Adam from his corner, preventing a refreshed Tornado from tagging in. Adam ducked a double clothesline and rebounded with one of his own. This opportunity allowed Adam to tag in Tornado.
Tornado had Anarchy in position for a corkscrew splash but Anarchy rolled out of the way. Tornado tried to stand up but was captured by Anarchy who dropped him with a fisherman buster. Anarchy pinned Tornado for the win and secured a title opportunity for Arcane and himself.
Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane celebrated their win as NCSF recovered outside the ring. Hardcore Adam and Tornado began walking toward the entrance but were blindsided by The Door, Malcom and Richter. The Door brutally attacked NCSF but fled when Anarchy and Arcane began to approach.
Andre Jordan w/Lucia Mendez vs. Dr. Insidious
Andre Jordan returned to the ring, as promised, to pick a fight with Dr. insidious. Lucia Mendez stood by his side in support. Though it seemed Jordan would be stood up, the lights eventually flickered and Dr. insidious made his way to the ring. Jordan charged at Insidious and a referee slid into the ring and called for the bell.
Jordan hit Insidious hard and fast with punches before suplexing him around the ring. Insidious stopped Jordan with a violent side slam and began a slow, methodical beating on Jordan. Insidious tried for a piledriver but Jordan blocked it, pulled Insidious’ legs, and locked in a sharpshooter. Insidious escaped but Jordan did not slow down. Jordan was on the verge of winning the match until Insidious blocked a clothesline with a drop kick, sending Jordan into the ropes. Jordan’s back rested across the top rope and Insidious rushed into tie his arms in the ropes, leaving him defenseless.
Insidious left the ring and began to stalk Lucia Mendez. Mendez looked ready to defend herself but Insidious stalked closer. Jordan struggled to free himself from the ropes. Insidious reached out for Mendez but stopped when Snarl’s music began to play in the arena. The crowd got to their feet as the MoW legend marched down to ringside and caused Insidious to back off.
Jordan freed himself from the ropes as Insidious re-entered the ring. Jordan brawled with Insidious before driving him to the mat with a belly-to-belly suplex. Jordan pinned Insidious to win the match.
Andre Jordan stood victorious with Lucia Mendez at his side as Snarl chased Dr. Insidious away from ringside. Snarl returned to the ring to reunite with Jordan and Mendez as the show ended.
