Stratton overpowered Griffin early in the match and looked to the crowd for cues on how to punish Griffin. Griffin thumbed Stratton in the eye in a moment of desperation and used this opening to attack Stratton.
Griffin yelled at Stratton and told him he was a washed up loser. Griffin’s words came to bite him as Stratton blocked a right hand and fired back with a barrage of strikes. The Door (Malcom and Richter) vs. The Badlands Boys (Bill Stanton and The Convict)
The Door was all business when they clashed with the veteran team of The Badlands Boys. Bill Stanton and The Convict are no pushovers but The Door wasted no time hitting them hard from the start. Malcom and Richter took turns pummeling Stanton in their corner while The Convict looked anxious to tag in.
Stanton was busted open after an elbow smash to the forehead but refused to stay down. Richter shoved Stanton toward his corner and watched as he slowly dragged himself to The Convict to make the tag. The Convict rushed into the ring and exchanged words with Richter before the conversation devolved into a fist fight.
The Convict fought with both members of The Door but Malcom and Richter got the better of him and brutalized the legend. Stanton tried to get into the ring to help but was hit hard with a boot from Malcom that sent him down to the floor. The Convict gave one last push to break The Door’s offense but Malcom and Richter violently continued their assault. The Convict managed to kick out of a pin following a DDT from Richter, which brought Malcom into the ring to help Richter with a nasty spike piledriver that left The Convict motionless. Richter covered The Convict for a pin to win the match.
Bill Stanton slowly made his way to his fallen partner and covered The Convict as The Door stood over them both. Stanton yelled at The Door to leave them alone. The Door fist bumped each other and left the ring as Stanton stayed with his partner while he received medical attention.
MoW Correspondent Kimberly Kennedy approached The Door as they were leaving the ring. Kennedy told The Door they were showing a more aggressive side and questioned them on why they attacked Hardcore Adam and Tornado on MoW Horizon. Malcom said that they were not interested in allowing nostalgia acts into the tag team division. Richter pointed to the ring and said they destroyed The Badlands Boys and will do the same to Adam and Tornado. The Door vowed to keep the door to the tag team division closed.
