Meghan DeWitt vs. Tracy Blood

MoW’s biggest show of the year began with Meghan DeWitt getting her wish for a match against Tracy Blood. DeWitt came down to the ring and greeted her trainer, Annika, who was sitting ringside. Blood gave Annika a cold stare as she stood on the ring apron and warned Annika not to interfere.

DeWitt surprised Blood at the beginning of the match with a takedown that had the former MoW Champion staring up at DeWitt from the mat in surprise. Blood stood up and traded kicks with DeWitt before getting the best of the exchange and taking DeWitt down with a takedown of her own.

Blood used a wide range of holds and submissions to weaken DeWitt as the match continued. DeWitt found herself in Blood’s Boston crab but managed to reach the ropes to break it. Blood stayed on the attack, refusing to give DeWitt a moment to recover.

Blood tried for a head kick but DeWitt ducked and bounced back with a knee strike that sent Blood backward. Blood fell to the mat and rolled out of the ring. Blood looked dazed and DeWitt saw her chance to get on offense. DeWitt rolled Blood back into the ring and struck with hard kicks of her own. Blood tried her best to block but the blows had impact and she was forced to her knees. DeWitt ran at Blood and tried for a flying knee. Blood defected part of the impact with her arms but DeWitt caused enough damage that Blood fell over. DeWitt tried for a pin but Blood kicked out just before the three count.

Blood fought back and both women traded strikes and throws. DeWitt went for a low kick that Blood blocked with her shin. DeWitt stumbled back and appeared to hurt her foot. She fought on but the injury slowed her down enough for Blood anticipate her moves. Blood struck with a head kick that connected and covered DeWitt to win the match.

Tracy Blood stood victorious as Meghan DeWitt recovered in a corner. Annika climbed into the ring to check on DeWitt and give her words of encouragement for a strong showing. Blood saw Annika and pulled her away from DeWitt. Blood told Annika she had no business being there. Annika removed her leather jacket and stood face-to-face with Blood before shoving her backward. Blood shoved back and charged at each other before the referee and security broke them up.

NCSF (Hardcore Adam and Tornado) vs. The Door (Malcom and Richter)

NCSF and The Door collided in a hard-hitting match that saw The Door on the defensive against the well-oiled machine of Hardcore Adam and Tornado. Adam tried to end the match early with a cutter on Malcom but the move was blocked. Malcom responded with a thunderous powerbomb. Adam kicked out of a pin but The Door began a lengthy, punishing assault on the wrestling legend.

Richter tossed Adam through the ropes to the floor where he and Malcom both attacked him while down. Tornado dove on top of Malcom and the two brawled. Richter attempted to ram Adam’s head into the ring post but the veteran reversed the momentum and Richter hit the post instead. Richter was busted open and dazed. Adam showed why he was nicknamed “Hardcore” by pummeling Richter until he bled more, slammed Richter on the concrete floor, and suplexed him on the steel steps. The crowd roared as Adam stood up and let out a scream before rolling Richter back into the ring.

The match continued with SCSF closing in on victory. Tornado got caught with a surprise DDT by Richter but the momentum shift was short lived. Tornado toughed out a double team by The Door and surprised Malcom with drop kick. Tornado hit a corkscrew splash, stood up, knocked Richter off the apron, and pointed to Adam. The crowd cheered as Adam tagged in, dropped Malcom with a cutter, and pinned him to win the match.

NCSF celebrated in the ring. Hardcore Adam grabbed a microphone to address the crowd. Adam thanked Tornado for giving him an opportunity to compete on a big stage one more time. Adam said he always wanted to go out on a high note and felt this was a good place to hang up his boots.

Tornado stopped Adam and suggested they could go further. Tornado asked Adam to keep going and try to win the MoW Team Championship. Adam considered, then agreed, and set NCSF on a path for championship gold in 2023.

Confronting the Commissioner

Tracy Blood confronted MoW Commissioner Tiger Johnson backstage and was furious that Annika attacked her, demanding she be removed from the building. Blood continued to vent her frustration before Johnson calmed her down. Johnson said he understood Blood’s concern but said that Annika had a right to be in the arena because she had signed an MoW contract earlier in the day. Blood was left stunned while Johnson added that she should be happy because it meant more competition for her in 2023.

Snarl vs. Dr. Insidious

Snarl’s return to the MoW ring saw him clash with Dr. Insidious in a brutal, physical match. Snarl was not intimidated by Insidious’s menacing persona, nor was Insidious intimidated by Snarl’s reputation as one of the toughest to ever compete in MoW.

Snarl’s early assault on Insidious was dominant. Insidious was like a rag doll in Snarl’s hands. Snarl used a powerbomb and covered for a pin but Insidious kicked out and easily got to his feet. Snarl realized his offense had done nothing to Insidious and ran in for a clothesline but Insidious ducked and used a sidewalk slam on Snarl.

Insidious began a dominant command of the match. Snarl began to struggle to his feet as the attacks became more vicious. Insidious used a disgusting chokeslam over the ropes that sent Snarl crashing hard to the floor. The referee checked on Snarl but Insidious pulled him away from the referee and continued attacking. Snarl tried to fight back but too much damage had been done. Insidious drove Snarl through the announcers’s table with another chokeslam, rolled Snarl into the ring, and used three piledrivers before the referee called for the bell.

Dr. Insidious was declared the winner in a rare, dominant no contest on Snarl. Insidious celebrated his win by further assaulting the fallen ring legend, culminating in a final chokeslam on the steel steps. Andre Jordan and Lucia Mendez rushed to ringside as Insidious fled. Jordan yelled for help while Mendez sobbed as she sat next to Snarl. Medical teams took Snarl out of the arena on a stretcher.

MoW Team Championship Match

Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane vs. The Diamond Peak (Preston Montgomery and Pierre Laurent) w/Claudia Winter (c)

The unlikely pairing of longtime rivals Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane found themselves challenging The Diamond Peak’s young tag team of Preston Montgomery and Pierre Laurent for the MoW Team Championship.

Anarchy and Arcane worked well together and came out strong on offense while utilizing strong teamwork. Claudia Winter coached her team and became frustrated as the challengers continued to best her champions. Winter yelled to Montgomery to follow up after he stunned Anarchy with a forearm shot but it was Anarchy who responded by flipping her the middle finger and dropping Montgomery with a DDT.

Arcane was hit in the back by Laurent as he hit the ropes. The referee turned his attention to Laurent about the interference and missed Montgomery hitting Arcane with a low blow. The Diamond Peak started a major comeback that had Arcane struggling to make a tag. Laurent taunted Anarchy while holding Arcane in an STF. Arcane broke the hold and kicked Laurent in the gut but was stopped by Laurent before he could tag in.

The Diamond Peak tried for a double clothesline that Arcane ducked before spinning around and using a double DDT on them. Arcane made the hot tag to Anarchy and Anarchy unloaded on the champions. Anarchy was on the cusp of victory until Laurent blocked a fisherman buster and rolled Anarchy up with a small package. Laurent managed to keep Anarchy down for the three count and won the match, keeping the MoW Team Championship in The Diamond Peak stable.

The Diamond Peak stood victorious before leaving the ring. Cole Arcane stood next to Rex Anarchy and held out a hand to help him to his feet. Anarchy looked disappointed in his defeat. Arcane placed a hand on Anarchy’s shoulder and appeared to offer some consolatory words. Anarchy began to brighten up but the moment was short lived. Arcane put Anarchy in a headlock and drove him to the mat with a bulldog. The stunned crowd buzzed as Arcane stood up and looked down with disgust at Anarchy. The truce between these long time rivals had been shattered.

MoW Championship Match

Andre Jordan w/Lucia Mendez vs. Killer Malone w/Claudia Winter (c)

Andre Jordan, for the second time in his career, challenged for the MoW Championship. Killer Malone came ready to defend his title and prove he was deserving of his place at the top of the pack.

Jordan was distracted early in the match, thinking of his friend, Snarl, and the events that occurred earlier in the show. Malone took advantage of Jordan’s lack of focus and stayed ahead of his challenger. Jordan ducked a clothesline and surprised Malone with a northern light suplex. Jordan used the moment as a chance to fight his way into an offensive rally.

Claudia Winter, sensing Malone was in trouble, attempted to distract the referee. Malone yelled at her to back off just before Mendez pulled Winter off the apron. Mendez threw Winter into the time keeper’s table and warned her to back off. Jordan and Malone continued to battle in the ring, the action escalating as they brought out their best against each other.

Jordan knocked Malone down with a standing dropkick but was distracted by Winter hitting Mendez from behind on the outside. Jordan stepped toward the ropes to yell down at Winter. The distraction cost him as Malone spun him around and nailed him with a knockout punch. Malone yelled at Winter to stop causing a scene and that he had the match under control. Malone turned around into the arms of Jordan who used a belly-to-belly suplex on the champion. Jordan covered for a pin but Malone kicked out.

Jordan pushed hard to put Malone away, but fell victim to a knockout punch. Malone covered for the pin to win the match.

Killer Malone stood tall as MoW Champion. Claudia Winter stood next to him but Malone looked irritated by her presence. Winter said something to Malone to calm him down, and they left the ring amicably.

MoW Championship Match

Kami King vs. Shannon Worth w/Claudia Winter (c)

The main event saw Kami King compete in the most important match in her career, challenging Shannon Worth for the MoW Championship. The stakes were high for both women as a victory for Worth would make her the longest reigning champion in MoW history.

The match started with a trade of offense. King looked determined while Worth taunted her. King got more aggressive and both women began to hit harder and faster. Worth rolled outside the ring for a breather. King followed but Worth had set her up and attacked King on the outside. Claudia Winter was pleased with her champion as Worth rolled King back into the ring.

Worth dominated King but the challenger refused to stay down for pins and worked her way out of submissions. King broke Worth’s string of offense with a surprise hurricanrana and blasted Worth with a super kick as Worth began to stand up. King dove on Worth for a pin but the champion kicked out just before the three count. King was determined and began to mount a strong comeback.

Worth was now the one powering through submissions and pin attempts. Worth was rocked by a brainbuster and kicked out of a pin but was slow to get up. King had her sights set on finishing off Worth with another super kick when Winter stood up on the apron and yelled at King. King pivoting and hammered Winter in the jaw with a super kick. Winter fell to the floor and the crowd erupted into cheers as King went for another super kick to Worth. Worth had time to recover and dodged the kick, rebounding with a spinning elbow to King. Worth covered for a pin and was distraught when King kicked out.

Worth began clubbing fists into King’s back and screaming that she would not become champion. King began fighting back and both women got into a fist fight in center of the ring. King got the better of the champion and looked ready to close in on victory until Worth rolled free from King’s grip, hit her with a spinning elbow. Worth covered King and won the match with a three count.

Shannon Worth, overcome by the tough fight from Kami King, and securing her place in MoW history as the longest running champion in the history of the promotion, sat on her knees in the center of the ring and burst into tears with the MoW Championship belt in her clutches. King, too, sat in the corner and recovered as tears of disappointment rolled down her face. King left the ring, Worth stood tall, and then looked down to the floor where Claudia Winter was still recovering. Worth began to take a step toward the ropes to go help Winter when she was stopped by someone else’s music cutting hers off.

Worth stood in shock and horror as Cate Stiles walked down to the ring to confront her. Stiles, who had not been seen since Worth broke her leg in the spring, approached Worth and stood face-to-face with a cold stare. Worth looked nervous but held the MoW Championship high above her. Stiles looked up at the title, back to Worth, and backed off, suggesting she was back to face Worth for the MoW Championship in 2023.
