MoW Merry Mayhem Results

Welcome to the MoW Newsletter for December 10th, 2022. Our Final Round supershow is over but we have a gift for the MoW fans before the year is out.

MoW held a special holiday show in Allentown, PA. We will get to the results of that show in a moment but will begin with news coming out of Final Round 2022.

Injuries Reported at Final Round

Snarl suffered serious injuries during his match against Dr. Insidious. The MoW legend is currently recovering from fractures to his ribs and back, though officials are said to be very concerned about spinal cord swelling in his neck.

There is no timetable on when, or if, Snarl will return to the ring. Snarl debuted with MoW in 1995 and became an overnight sensation. He returned to MoW in 2019 to serve as the first MoW Champion of the modern era.

Meghan DeWitt suffered a fractured foot during her match with Tracy Blood. The injury is not said to be serious and DeWitt expects to be back to her training before the end of the year. DeWitt spoke with MoW Correspondent Kimberly Kennedy, commenting on her recovery and sharing her thoughts on her career going into next year.

“I didn’t win at Final Round but I showed everyone i can compete with the best in MoW. I’m coming back more determined than ever!” – Meghan DeWitt

Cate Stiles Returns to MoW

The close of Final Round saw the return of Cate Stiles when the former three-time MoW Champion confronted current champion Shannon Worth at the close of the show.

Worth broke Stiles’ leg in a brutal attack on April 23rd of this year. Stiles has been recovering from her injury since. MoW officials confirmed that Stiles is not yet medically cleared to compete but is expected to be ready for competition by the start of the 2023 spring season.

Annika Signs With MoW

As announced by MoW Commissioner Tiger Johnson at Final Round, wrestling star turned mixed martial artist Annika has signed with MoW for 2023.

Annika made her wrestling debut in Rapid Fire Wrestling before transitioning to an MMA career. Annika made an appearance during “Tracy Blood’s Beach Brawl” MMA event in the summer of 2021 and recently appeared in MoW supporting Meghan DeWitt in training for her match against Tracy Blood at Final Round. Annika and Blood engaged in an altercation at Final Round, suggesting the two will settle their differences when MoW returns in the spring.

Annika’s MoW contract marks her full-time return to the wrestling ring since the closure of RFW in 2018.

The Navigators Exit MoW

Aidan North and Pete Arrow, collectively known as The Navigators, have departed MoW. The popular tag team expressed their desire to compete elsewhere and expand their legacy.

The Navigators competed around the world before debuting with MoW in 2019 and are former MoW Team Champions. The Navigators have entered the Open Wrestling Alliance free agency effective immediately.

Holiday Mayhem Show Results

MoW hosted a special holiday show for fans in Allentown, PA.

The main event came together at the beginning of the show when “Badlands” Bill Stanton, dressed as Santa Claus, was handing gifts out to the ringside audience. This activity called the attention of The Door, who confronted Stanton and told him he was wasting time catering to fans when he should be wrestling. Stanton hit Malcom over the head with a sack of presents and The Door started to attack him. NCSF ran out to Stanton’s aid and John Austin Baker followed behind to help The Door turning ringside into a six-man brawl.

Officials broke up the fighting and MoW Commissioner Tiger Johnson, always eager to settle conflicts in the ring, announced a six-man tornado tag team hardcore match between NCSF and Stanton and The Door and Baker.

“The six of you want so badly to fight, then I will let you fight. Later tonight, in the main event, it will be NCSF and Bill Stanton vs. The Door and John Austin Baker. And as a gift to the fans who love our hard-hitting action, let’s have a tornado tag hardcore match! Happy holidays, everyone!” -Tiger Johnson

Both teams collided in the main event later in the night where the action happened inside and outside the ring and weapons of all kinds were used by both teams. The Door and Baker worked well together but it was NCSF and Stanton who came out victorious when Stanton speared Baker and Tornado sealed the deal with a corkscrew splash and a pin.

Hardcore Adam, Tornado, and “Badlands” Bill Stanton stayed at ringside at the end of the show to meet with fans and hand out MoW merchandise as gifts.

Elsewhere on the show, Rus Samson defeated Matt Griffin by submission with a torture rack. Samson was celebrating in the ring when Griffin attacked him from behind with a chair. Big Time Stratton came out to chase off his former partner and stood united with Samson.

Alexandra Morgan and “Undeniable” Chez Everett wrestled each other on several episodes of MoW Rapid Fire throughout the fall season and met one more time at Holiday Mayhem to settle their score. The match was fiercely competitive but it was Morgan who came out the winner by pinfall after catching Everett running off the ropes with a spinning side slam.

Kassidy Fortune and Mysterie battled in a match that saw Fortune on the receiving end of a high flying offense from Mysterie. Mysterie nearly pinned the former Wildheart Wrestling Club Champion several times throughout the match but Fortune fought on and won by pinfall following a cutter.

Carolina Deene defeated Paisley Alden by pinfall after using a hurricanrana.

Thanks for being with us for another great year of wrestling action. We’ll be back in January for C.W. Sunderland’s annual State of MoW address.
