MoW Wildheart Championship Tournament Continues

The final matches of the quarterfinal round took place on the show.

Kassidy Fortune had a tough night against Sheena. Although Fortune initially had momentum against Sheena, a sudden clothesline from Sheena stopped Fortune in her tracks. Sheena battered Fortune with stiff hits and powerful slams. Fortune fought out of several pin attempts before dodging a running boot in the corner. Fortune make a comeback before defeating Sheena by pinfall after using three cutters.

Kami King and Annika had a highly competitive match that featured chain wrestling, takedowns, and submissions. Annika dodged a super kick from King and tried to get King into an armbreaker. King broke free before the hold could be fully applied and hit Annika with another super kick. King went for the pin but Annika got her foot on the rope to break the count. The match continued with both women refusing to lose ground but it was Annika who prevailed with a submission by arm breaker.

Kassidy Fortune and Annika will meet next week in the semifinals of the tournament.

Admiration

Andre Jordan and Lucia Mendez were exercising backstage, unaware that Paul Priest was watching them from around the corner. Mendez bent over in a stretch and Priest nodded in approval at Mendez’s backside.

Later in the show, Mendez joined Jordan at ringside for his match against Mikey Armstrong. Paul Priest and Delilah appeared at ringside late in the match to approach Mendez. Jordan became distracted by Priest and Delilah giving Armstrong an opportunity to roll up Jordan for a pin.

Mikey Armstrong was declared the winner while Jordan rushed out of the ring to join Mendez and confront Priest and Deliah. Priest and Delilah left without incident.

Tag Team Collision

Oleg Azarov and Ruslan Panov made news when they united as a tag team. Two men who were not happy to see this alliance was The Door, Malcom and Richter. The Door warned Azarov and Panov about treading lightly in the tag team division, calling it their territory. Panov was quick to respond.

“So the tag team division is The Door’s territory, huh? If you two are claiming territory then you need to be ready to defend it, yeah?” -Ruslan Panov

Azarov told The Door to get in the ring.

The tension moved to the ring for a proper tag team match. The Door’s experience as a team was on display throughout the match as they separated Azarov from tagging in Panov and were relentless in their vicious assault. Azarov ducked a clothesline and used a back body drop on Richter to neutralize him long enough to tag in Panov.

Panov burst into the ring and made a strong comeback for his team. The Door slowed down Panov but were unable to keep him down before Panov pinned Richter to secure a victory.

A Little Payback

Cole Arcane was walking through a backstage hallway when he was attacked by Rex Anarchy. Anarchy threw Arcane over a table, slammed a garbage can over his back, and drove his head against a wall as payback for Arcane’s post-match attack on him two weeks ago.

Arcane slipped away and ran out of the arena with Anarchy in tow.

A Pep Talk for The Diamond Peak

Claudia Winter was backstage with The Diamond Peak to address recent challenges to their titles at the upcoming Mad Season supershow.

Winter warned MoW Team Champions Pierre Laurent and Preston Montgomery not to underestimate NCSF, Hardcore Adam and Tornado. Winter called Laurent and Montgomery the future of MoW but also called them naive. She expected both of them to take a team made up of a legend and a former MoW Champion seriously.

Winter addressed recent tensions with MoW Champion Killer Malone. Winter assured Malone that he would defeat Ridge and promised she would not get involved in his match as he requested.

Finally, Winter looked to MoW Champion Shannon Worth with grin on her face. Winter said that Worth should not listen to the hype about Cate Stiles. Winter claimed to have proof that Stiles will be unfit to face Worth in time for Mad Season and will present this proof at next week’s Rapid Fire Wrestling.

Mary Jane Elder vs. Carolina Deene

The main event saw Mary Jane Elder determined to show Carolina Deene that she has what it takes to make it in MoW. Deene found herself trying to avoid Elder’s attack including trying to bail on the match. Elder dove through the ropes on Deene and brawled with her on the outside. Deene reversed an Irish whip which drove Elder into the ring steps.

Deene’s confidence grew as she beat on Elder back in the ring. Elder struggled to regain control but continued to kick out of pins. Deene’s big mistake was getting overconfident and playing with Elder which gave Elder a chance to counter Deene’s attempt at a suplex and beginning a big comeback. Elder used a leg drop DDT on Deene after a whip into the turnbuckle and covered her for a pinfall victory.

Mary Jane Elder stood with her arm raised, defeating Carolina Deene for the second time. Deene recovered outside the ring and watched her opponent with a cold stare.
