The spring supershow in Providence, RI was a stacked event where the inaugural MoW Wildheart Champion was crowned, Cate Stiles returned to action to challenge Shannon Worth for the MoW Championship, NCSF challenged The Diamond Peak for the MoW Team Championship, Ridge challenged Killer Malone for the MoW Championship, and several grudge matches rounded out the show.

MoW Team Championship Match

NCSF (Tornado and Hardcore Adam) vs. The Diamond Peak (Preston Montgomery and Pierre Laurent) (c) w/Claudia Winter

A fight for championship gold started the show with NCSF challenging The Diamond Peak. NCSF’s journey to this match had been a feel good story for long time wrestling fans and a story The Diamond Peak looked to ruin.

The match was a high-impact, back-and-forth battle. The Diamond Peak double teamed Hardcore Adam, which began a lengthy offensive push. Adam broke the offense with a back body drop and began a major comeback for Tornado and himself.

Claudia Winter sensed major trouble as NCSF was in position to finish Pierre Laurent. Winter removed her high heels and gave one to Preston Montgomery. Montgomery tried to spike Tornado but he dodged and the heel hit Laurent instead. Tornado knocked Montgomery out of the ring before tagging in Adam who pinned Laurent following a cutter. Winter was beside herself as NCSF were declared the new MoW Team Champions.

Hardcore Adam celebrated with Tornado before taking a microphone to express his gratitude for another career milestone.

“One year ago, I thought my days in the ring were behind me, and I was ok with that. But Tornado, you encouraged me to go a little further and I never expected to be holding a title in 2023. I’ve been doing this for thirty years. I don’t know how much longer this ride is but thank you, Tornado, and thank you to all the MoW fans for still believing in me. ” -Hardcore Adam

NCSF left the ring while greeting fans. Later in the show, a frazzled Claudia Winter was backstage with all members of The Diamond Peak trying to be positive about Shannon Worth’s and Killer Malone’s title defenses. Worth assured Winter she was ready for Cate Stiles. Malone blamed Winter for the Team Championship loss and once again warned her not to get involved in his match. Winter looked humiliated.

Paul Priest w/Delilah vs. Andre Jordan w/Lucia Mendez

Paul Priest’s pursuit of hiring Lucia Mendez for his strip club brought him to Mad Season for a match against an angry Andre Jordan.

Jordan was relentless in his attack on Priest until Priest escaped from the ring and used Mendez as a shield. Priest fled back into the ring where Jordan followed. Priest attacked Jordan but it wasn’t long before Jordan fought back and used a belly-to-belly suplex to subdue him for the pinfall victory.

Andre Jordan was declared the winner. Delilah confronted Jordan but was grabbed by Lucia Mendez who chased her off.

Tracy Blood vs. Annika

A showdown between Tracy Blood and Annika was fueled by an argument between the two MMA-trained fighters at last year’s Final Round supershow.

The match began at a slower pace that featured takedowns and submission but escalated when Blood began to hit with kicks to Annika’s legs and torso. Annika narrowly dodged a head kick and fought back with forearms and elbows. Annika caught Blood’s arm and rolled her into an arm breaker. Blood escaped but a punishing knee strike downed the former MoW Champion and Annika capitalized. Blood tried to fight her way back into the match but Annika forced her into submission with another arm break in the center of the ring.

Annika was declared the winner and stood with her arm raised. Blood approached her rival and, after a brief conversation, offered a handshake in respect. Annika shook hands, Blood raised her arm in a show of respect, and left the ring to the victor.

Jax Rivers vs. Mikey Armstrong

Mikey Armstrong built up a series of wins since coming to MoW but his underdog attitude did not impress Jax Rivers. Armstrong won their initial encounter and the two met in a rematch at Mad Season.

Armstrong was cautious to engage with Rivers but the two had a competitive match that featured a variety of takedowns, suplexes, and slams. Rivers got the advantage on Armstrong and caught him with a massive flapjack. Armstrong held his face and squirmed as Rivers covered him for the pin to win the match.

Mikey Armstrong pleaded with the referee call to have him removed on a stretcher. The referee was reluctant but called for medical staff after Armstrong’s insistent begging. As the medical staff loaded Armstrong onto the stretcher and hauled him way, the audience was unsure how to react. Some people clapped but most stood silent in confusion.

Cole Arcane vs. Rex Anarchy

The rivalry between Cole Arcane and Rex Anarchy goes back as far 2015 with the original Rapid Fire Wrestling. The two formed a tag team late last year but Arcane turned on Anarchy, reigniting their feud. The two met in a brutal collision in the latest chapter of their storied rivalry.

Arcane injured Anarchy’s ribs last week on Rapid Fire Wrestling and Anarchy’s taped ribs were a target for Arcane throughout the match. Anarchy absorbed a lot of damage early in the match but gave it right back to Arcane.

The match spilled outside the ring where both men were busted open in a wild brawl. The action returned to the ring and Anarchy looked ready to finish Arcane off but Arcane struck at the injured ribs again. Despite Anarchy’s best efforts, Arcane defeated him by pinfall.

MoW Championship Match

Ridge vs. Killer Malone (c) w/Claudia Winter

Ridge’s career began back in 2000 in WFW, though despite his longevity, he never won a major title. Ridge looked to change that in a spirited match against MoW Champion Killer Malone.

Malone’s tension with his manager, Claudia Winter, could be felt, though Winter assured him she would not get involved in the match.

Ridge found himself on the receiving end of a slow, methodical attack from the champion as Malone tried to take away Ridge’s high flying abilities.

Ridge made a huge comeback when he reversed a suplex and fired back at Malone with an explosive combination of running strikes and drop kicks. Malone rolled out of the ring to escape but Ridge jumped off the turnbuckle to hit him with a flying axe handle.

Ridge was building huge momentum as Malone found himself in serious trouble. Malone was on the mat as Ridge climbed the turnbuckle, primed for a shooting star press. Winter, despite her promises to Malone, sensed the end could be near and got on the ring apron to distract Ridge. Malone took advantage of the situation by throwing Ridge into the ring but then berated Winter for interfering. Ridge rolled up Malone from behind for a pin, though Malone kicked out.

Ridge made a final push to put away the champion but Malone came out the victor after hitting a knockout punch on the challenger.

Killer Malone stood victorious after a hard-fought match. Claudia Winter stood next to him to celebrate but Malone was furious with her, dismissing Winter from the ring before grabbing a microphone.

“I warned you! I warned you to stay out of my matches. You can’t stay behind the line. You are finished! I’m out of The Diamond Peak. You are fired!” -Killer Malone

Winter’s night was getting worse as the MoW Champion now stood alone, no longer requiring her services.

MoW Wildheart Championship Final Match

Mia Mercury vs. Kassidy Fortune

History was made as MoW crowned the inaugural MoW Wildheart Champion, a new title for the growing women’s division. Mia Mercury and Kassidy Fortune, two of MoW’s rising stars, reached the finals of a weeks-long tournament to crown the new champion.

The action built slowly with the women testing each other with tie-ups. Mercury moved to a faster pace and hit Fortune with a running offense. Fortune slowed the action back down and tried to get Mercury to give up with submissions.

Mercury made a big comeback, though she missed a flying elbow that gave Fortune time to recover. Fortune closed in on victory and tried for a cutter but Mercury pushed away before responding with a brain buster. Mercury went high for another flying elbow and covered Fortune for the pinfall win.

Mia Mercury was declared the inaugural MoW Wildheart Champion and was handed the title, which she held high over her head.

Kassidy Fortune stepped back into the ring to congratulate Mercury, hugging the new champion. Fortune held Mercury’s hand high, and that is when she struck. Fortune pulled Mercury in for a cutter and proceeded to viciously assault the new champion, leaving her fallen in the ring with the Wildheart Championship thrown on her body. Fortune left the arena to the sound of the disapproving crowd.

MoW Championship Match

Cate Stiles vs. Shannon Worth (c) w/Claudia Winter

Cate Stiles’s return to the ring came over a year since her leg was shattered in a brutal attack by Shannon Worth. After a lengthy recovery, Stiles was ready to challenge Worth for the MoW Championship.

Worth discussed strategy with Claudia Winter before the bell. Winter looked stressed after the night she had and the challenge in front of her and her remaining champion but Worth tried to settle her down.

Stiles broke out with an impressive offense that showed no ring rust from her time away. Worth backpedaled as Stiles came at her with suplexes, strikes, and takedowns.

Worth clipped Stiles at the knee and stomped on the bad leg. Worth followed Winter’s instructions to focus on the leg which kept Stiles grounded. Stiles blocked a figure four leg lock by grabbing Worth’s boot and applying an ankle lock from the mat. Worth escaped but Stiles had an opportunity to make a comeback.

Stiles began a vicious, methodical assault on Worth. Winter once again was beside herself as her champion was in danger of losing the title. Winter screamed instructions to Worth but Stiles quieted her with a baseball slide to the face. Winter was incapacitated on the outside and a furious Worth charged at Stiles. Stiles leapfrogged over Worth but landed collapsed on the landing and reached for her leg.

Worth worked quickly and savagely attacked Stiles’s leg. Stiles did her best to stay in the fight but could not escape from Worth’s spinning elbow. Worth pinned Stiles to retain the Mow Championship and continue her historic title reign.

A dejected Cate Stiles hobbled backstage with the help of her husband, Jax Rivers, and medical staff.

Shannon Worth stood proud in the center of the ring and held the MoW Championship up as she smirked while watching Stiles struggle to walk. Claudia Winter joined Worth and had a look of relief on her face. The Diamond Peak’s crown jewel will carry the gold into MoW’s summer season, which begins July 22nd.
