Hector Diaz vs. Pierre Laurent w/Claudia Winter
The Diamond Peak kicked things off with Claudia Winter accompanying Pierre Laurent to the ring for a match against Hector Diaz.
Laurent looked dominant early in the match until Diaz made a surprising comeback that included several near falls. Laurent was desperate and hit Diaz with a low blow while Winter had the referee distracted. Before Laurent could pin Diaz, Preston Montgomery ran down to ringside.
Montgomery’s presence was a distraction for Laurent and gave Diaz time to recover and roll up Laurent for a surprise pin. Diaz picked up an upset victory over Laurent as Montgomery once again disrupted The Diamond Peak.
Last Man Standing
MoW Commissioner Tiger Johnson managed to get Rex Anarchy and Cole Arcane to stop fighting long enough to meet with them and offer a solution to their continuous fighting.
“Guys, this has to stop. We are a combat sport but I need to look out for the well being of you all. What is going on between you is way out of hand. Next week, we need to settle this. You will compete in a Last Man Standing match, and then this ends.” -Tiger Johnson
Arcane and Anarchy looked ready to come to blows but Johnson convinced them to wait for next week’s match.
Who Are The Door?
Kimberly Kennedy hosted a backstage sit-down interview with the current MoW Team Champions, The Door. Kennedy opened the interview saying that fans did not know much about the team and she wanted to learn more about their background.
The Door explained that being champions means everything to them because it shuts up all the people who abused them and said they would never be anything. Richter revealed that both men grew up under poor conditions and have had to scrape by without help from anyone. Their struggles have bonded them.
Malcom described their mission.
“We aren’t here to make kids smile. We aren’t here to make friends. We don’t want to be company men. We just want to keep shutting up the doubters. We deserve this success and we won’t stop deserving it.” -Malcom
The Door welcomed all challengers before closing out the interview.
Matt Griffin vs. Rus Samson w/Lost Cause
Lost Cause’s Rus Samson came to the ring with the rest of his crew in tow for his match against Matt Griffin.
Griffin complained about the presence of Lost Cause but Samson proved he needed no help by steamrolling over him. Griffin barely got in any offense before submitting to Samson’s torture rack.
Lost Cause partied in the ring to celebrate Samson’s victory. Griffin recovered and tried to join in on the party. Lost Cause initially accepted Griffin but then ganged up on him and tossed him from the ring.
Mikey Armstrong. Tough Guy.
Kimberly Kennedy was backstage with Mikey Armstrong who was eager to declare his victory over “Badlands” Bill Stanton last week makes him one of the toughest wrestlers in MoW.
Killer Malone overheard the comment and expressed his doubts about Armstrong’s toughness. Armstrong began to protest but Malone slugged him with a knockout punch.
Snarl is Back
MoW legend Snarl made his return at the conclusion of the 30th anniversary show when he confronted the man who took him out last year, new MoW Champion Dr. Insidious.
Snarl came to the ring to address the MoW fans and the MoW Champion.
“I’ve never been one for words so I’ll make this quick. Dr. Insidious tried to take me out but I’m still standing! I’ve been around a long time. I’m beat up but I’ve got one match left in it and I’m saving it for Dr. Insidious. So, Doc, I’m calling you out! Meet me in this ring and bring that MoW Championship with you. I’m taking you down and taking that title with me!” -Snarl
Snarl threw the microphone into the mat violently before leaving the ring.
Sad Girl
Lucia Mendez was shown dancing at Paul Priest’s strip club. Mendez was forced to work at the club because of her loss against Delilah at the 30th anniversary show. Mendez was unable to hid her sadness as she danced for a drunken and horny crowd.
Priest watched Mendez through a two-way mirror overlooking the club floor and gloated aloud about his victory and his “new girl.”
Delilah was sitting on a couch looking over papers and asked Priest if he had been paying attention to cash flow because the club was losing a lot of money.
Priest dismissed Delilah’s concern.
“Delilah, everything will be fine. We’ve got a new, sexy girl that will boost our fortunes. Although, I do wonder why business hasn’t picked up already.” -Paul Priest
Delilah looked at Priest in disbelief and pointed out that Mendez was crying. Priest watched Mendez more closely.
Rivals in Contention
MoW Commissioner Tiger Johnson came to the ring and invited Cate Stiles and Maria Estrella to join him. Johnson announced a match between the two next week with the winner getting a title match for the MoW Championship against Shannon Worth.
Stiles wasted no time warning Estrella of what is to come next.
“You and I are no strangers in this ring so you know what I do. But this isn’t like those other times. I will not stop until I get my hands on Shannon Worth and rip my MoW Championship away from her. You’re in my way? You are about to become a casualty.” -Cate Stiles
Estrella was not threatened by Stiles and had a different take on the outcome of their match.
“We don’t need a hot head who had her leg snapped because she finally crossed the wrong person. MoW needs… a superstar. MoW needs me to carry the title that I made relevant as the first ever champion. This is my home, it’s time to take MoW to the next level, and if it’s you I need to go through to make that happen then so be it. ” -Maria Estrella
Stiles and Estrella continued to argue until MoW Champion Shannon Worth, flanked by Claudia Winter, walked out to the stage to addressed her challengers.
“The two of you have creative imaginations but do you want to know reality? I’ve beaten both of you. This year alone! I’m on the roll of a lifetime and I’ve got nothing left to prove to either of you. I welcome either one of you to challenge me and receive your reality check.” -Shannon Worth
Worth stood confident with the MoW Championship raised high as Stiles and Estrella looked from the champion to each other.
MoW Wildheart Championship Match
Mia Mercury vs. Kassidy Fortune (c)
The main event saw Mia Mercury looking to recapture the MoW Wildheart Championship against Kassidy Fortune. The competitive match saw both champion and challenger pushing each other to the limit.
Mercury sent Fortune to the outside and flipped over the top rope to crash into her. Mercury rallied an intense offense and tried for multiple near falls. Mercury had Fortune on the mat when she climbed the turnbuckle for her flying elbow but the champion recovered and climbed the turnbuckle after her. Fortune superplexed Mercury to the mat which was enough to break Mercury’s momentum.
Mercury continued to put up a fight but Fortune defeated her by pinfall following a cutter.
Kassidy Fortune was roughed up but smiled as she was handed her MoW Wildheart Championship belt and slowly raised it over her head in victory to close the show.
