Welcome back, Rapid Fire Fanatics! I am Shawn Roberts, the voice of RFW, here to catch you up on the latest happenings here in our great sport. We have a lot to get to, so buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Welcome to Rapid Fire Wrestling!

Hector Diaz vs. Rex Anarchy

We started off with a rematch from last week. Hector Diaz and Rex Anarchy but this time Anarchy’s Lords of Chaos partner Ruslan Panov was barred from ringside. The lack of Panov helped Diaz stay focused on Anarchy and the Mexican star put up a big fight throughout this match.

Anarchy found himself escaping pins and submissions but made a comeback near the end. Diaz fought back but fell victim to a fisherman buster and was pinned. Anarchy won this match but Diaz made him work hard to earn it.

Predictably, Ruslan Panov immediately jumped into the ring and Hector Diaz suffered another beatdown by the hands of Lords of Chaos. One difference this time! Diaz had some backup. A ticking clock began to sound throughout the arena before music start blaring and “The Insomniac” Kenneth Cobb arrived on the scene! We knew Cobb was RFW-bound but didn’t know when or how he’d make his presence known. Cobb helped Diaz clear the ring of Panov and Anarchy and stood their ground in the ring.

Commissioner Aurora Starkey later made it official. Lords of Chaos vs. Hector Diaz and Kenneth Cobb next week at New Era Eruption!

The New Kids in Town

Kimberly Kennedy came to the ring to introduce the number one contenders to the RFW Tag Team Championship, Eric Waves and Chucky Arter. These guys quickly proved themselves a valuable addition to the RFW roster and told Kennedy they were excited for their upcoming title match.

“It took us a while to get here but we have finally arrived and ready to make our mark. Next week, we challenge the best tag team in wrestling, The Navigators.” -Eric Waves

And, yep, right on cue, out came The Navigators. The champs thanked Waves and Arter for realizing the challenge they have in front of them.

“My friends, the truth is that Pete and I were excited to see you join RFW. We like your work! We also like that you are smart guys and understand how much of a challenge you have ahead of you. We want you both to appreciate the special moment you will have next week. You’ll be able to say you challenged The Navigators and you can appreciate that accomplishment right up until the bell rings and our hands are raised.” -Aidan North

Waves and Arter took this dig in stride with Arter commenting that while they understand the challenge ahead of them, they are confident they will triumph. I gotta say, I like the confidence of both teams and I am confident we are going to get a great match out of these teams next week!

Maria Estrella vs. Annika

Annika has a few weeks to go before she gets her opportunity to challenge Kassidy Fortune for the RFW World Championship but she wasn’t sitting around waiting and squared off against one of RFW’s all-time greats, Maria Estrella. Estrella came to the ring solo again with Jessie Vega nowhere in sight.

Estrella came out strong early in this match despite her lack of ringside support. The first-ever RFW World Champion overpowered Annika until the judo practitioner rolled out of a body slam in midair and pulled Estrella to the mat with an arm breaker. Estrella got out of that but it turned the tide in this match allowing Annika show the world why she’s the number one contender. Estrella made a late match comeback but it was Annika who closed this one with a second armbreaker that forced Estrella to submit.

Annika stood tall in the ring while our RFW World Champion, Kassidy Fortune, stepped out to the arena and observed her challenger from the arena entrance. Annika invited the champ to join her in the ring but Fortune said ‘nah’ to that and walked backstage.

Career Decisions

We followed Maria Estrella backstage. She was clutching her arm as she turned a corner and caught her girl Jessie Vega and Vega’s record label manager Lee Lee Hunt having a terrible discussion.

“Jess, we’ve talked about this. You have a breakup album coming out in a few weeks. Breaking up with Maria would fit the marketing narrative. People would get behind this. It would feel real! If you are going to commit to this, you need to do it. Soon.” -Lee Lee Hunt

Vega looked hesitant but, ugh, she agreed it was the right thing to do for her career. Aw, Jessie, no!

Well, you can imagine what happened next. Estrella made herself known, Vega tried to explain herself, but Estrella cut her off, told her they were through, and stormed off. Vega looked very lost in this moment but don’t worry about her. Hunt put a reassuring arm around her and gave her some words of encouragement.

“I know it stings, but hey, like ripping off a band-aid, right? Now we can move on.” -Lee Lee Hunt

Yeah, she really said that.

Takeover

Our RFW Wildheart Champion, Meghan DeWitt, came to the ring to talk about her upcoming title defense against Phueng Ahunai next week at New Era Eruption. DeWitt has come a long way in her RFW career and her confidence was on display here.

“Phueng Ahunai may have come here with a lot of hype and thinks she’s going to walk out of New Era Eruption with this title but one flying knee to her face is going to make her realize the world she entered. RFW is not for the fanciest. It’s for the toughest in the game.” -Meghan DeWitt

Ahunai, of course, wasn’t going to sit back and listen so she came to the ring to meet the champ up close. For Ahunai, it’s about more than the title.

“You are cute, thinking you know the world, thinking you know what I’m made of and what I’m not. I came here for gold and I will get what I want. But where you really have it wrong is that am not just here for your title. I am beginning a one-woman takeover of RFW. It starts with you. Then I keep going. You get left behind.” -Phueng Ahunai

Wow! These two aren’t playing. We got a tense stare down center of the ring until Ahunai backed away and blew the champion a mocking kiss. This match is going to be a real burner!

The Iconoclast w/Dezzy Nightshade vs. “Badlands” Bill Stanton

The Iconoclast gets his opportunity to try and reclaim the RFW Grand Championship when he takes on Andre Jordan later this season at Spring Shockwave but “Badlands” Bill Stanton came to this match with every intention of disrupting the challenger’s momentum.

This match was as roughhouse as you’d expect. Both men brawled in the ring before the action spilled to the outside. The wild lands outside the ring is where Stanton shines and he used the ring steps, posts, and hard floor as tools of violence. Dezzy Nightshade distracted Stanton just long enough for The Iconoclast to hit him from behind. From here on out, it was all Iconoclast. The action returned to the ring, The Iconoclast brutalized Stanton, and pinned him following a chokeslam powerbomb.

Tangled Webbings

Kimberly Kennedy stepped through the ropes to interview The Iconoclast. The number one contender called out Andre Jordan.

“Mr. Jordan, you and I meet in this ring four weeks from now. Under the very best of conditions, you need to be at your peak to stop me. Yet, I see you distraught over a woman. My warning to you is this. Get your head in our game or your defeat is a certainty.” -The Iconoclast

Dezzy Nightshade blamed Lucia Mendez for Jordan’s woes and said that she will be responsible for Jordan handing The Iconoclast the title. Nightshade then thanked Mendez for her help!

Mendez rushed down to the ring and slapped Nightshade in the face, nearly knocking her over. She told Nightshade to stay out of her business and insisted she did nothing wrong. Nightshade and The Iconoclast loomed over Mendez which brought out the Grand Champ!

Jordan stood between Mendez, Nightshade, and The Iconoclast but Mendez dismissed him, refusing his help. The Iconoclast said his point about Jordan’s lack of focus has been proven which caused Jordan to strike. The Iconoclast overpowered Jordan, Mendez tried to get him to stop but was hit from behind by Nightshade.

RFW Commissioner Aurora Starkey announced after the show that Lucia Mendez and Dezzy Nightshade are set to collide next week at New Era Eruption to try and resolve at least some of this tangled web.

Alexandra Morgan w/Claudia Winter vs. Shannon Worth

Our main event saw Shannon Worth clash with Alexandra Morgan who, of course, had Claudia Winter by her side. Worth has had her issues with Winter for the past year and it’s only gotten worse for her since Morgan was added to the mix.

Worth wasted no time taking the fight to Morgan much to Winter’s dismay. Morgan fought off Worth’s offense after a back body drop that rattled every bone in Worth’s body! This is when Morgan revved up and drove Worth to the mat with punishing slam after slam. Worth refused to stay down, kicking out of multiple pin attempts, but Morgan stayed cool and just kept right on beating down the former RFW World Champion.

Morgan misjudged Worth and got hit with flying forearm off of an Irish whip rebound. Worth dug down deep and mounted a big comeback that culminated in hitting Morgan with her spinning elbow! Morgan fell to the mat but Winter dragged her from the ring before Worth could go for a pin. This sent Worth to the outside to argue with Winter, allowing Morgan to recover and attack her from behind. Morgan brought Worth back into the ring and hit her with a spinning side slam before covering for a victorious pin.

Alexandra Morgan was declared the winner of our main event with a little help from Claudia Winter. While Morgan and Winter celebrated, an irate Shannon Worth attacked Winter. Morgan came to her aid and hit Worth with two more spinning side slams before grabbing a chair and beating Worth with it until the chair broke. Officials separated Morgan from the unconscious Worth who was eventually helped backstage.
