Hello, Rapid Fire Fanatics! We’ve made it to the first supershow of 2025, New Era Eruption! Four big matches, two titles on the line, and a whole lot of action! I am Shawn Roberts, the voice of RFW, and excited to give you all the info you need to know.

Welcome to Rapid Fire Wrestling!

Lords of Chaos vs. Hector Diaz and Kenneth Cobb

Hector Diaz had been going it alone in his fight against Lords of Chaos until “The Insomniac” Kenneth Cobb arrived on the scene to even the odds! Cobb received a loud ovation from the audience when he came to the ring for this match. Ruslan Panov and Rex Anarchy were unimpressed.

Diaz started this one off against Panov which began as a back-and-forth spar before Diaz tripped up Panov and started building momentum. A tag to Cobb was thwarted by Panov, bringing Diaz to his corner, and beginning a series of tags between Panov and Anarchy to wear down Diaz.

Cobb watched anxiously from the apron to get into this thing. Anarchy gave him a taste of the action by confronting RFW’s newest star and trash talking him before slapping him in the face. This brought in Cobb but the referee sent him back to his place behind the ropes. Diaz dug his heels in and fought his way out of the two-man assault, taking down Panov long enough to dive for a tag to Cobb.

Cobb entered the ring full of energy and blasted Panov before smashing Anarchy off the apron to the floor. The newcomer battled with Panov until Anarchy climbed back into the ring and began a double team but Diaz dove off the top rope, colliding with Anarchy and sending both of them to the outside where they brawled.

Back in the ring, Cobb got a sleeper hold on Panov, put him to sleep, and won this match!

Welcome to RFW, Kenneth Cobb! Cobb and Hector Diaz picked up a huge win here. The Lords of Chaos regrouped on the outside, clearly upset and suggesting that this isn’t the end for these four.

Dezzy Nightshade vs. Lucia Mendez

It has been an emotional spring season for Lucia Mendez. She broke up with the RFW Grand Champion Andre Jordan but is still tangled up in his affairs, drawing the attention of The Iconoclast and Dezzy Nightshade. This was Mendez’s chance to separate herself from all of that by silencing Nightshade.

It didn’t start off well. Nightshade overpowered Mendez in the opening minutes of this bout but was determined not to let Nightshade keep her down. Nightshade found herself in trouble when Mendez used an exploder suplex into the turnbuckle.

Mendez wisely focused on Nightshade’s back to weaken her stronger opponent. Mendez tried to finish this match several times but Nightshade was relentless. A surprise chokeslam powerbomb stopped Mendez and nearly won Nightshade the match but Mendez was able to kick out.

Nightshade prepared to finish Mendez with a brainbuster but Mendez slipped free, locked in a triangle chokehold and forced Nightshade to submit.

Lucia Mendez was the winner here but Nightshade thwarted any possible celebration by attacking from behind. Andre Jordan ran down to help but was intercepted by The Iconoclast. Jordan and Mendez were left lying in the ring together and Jordan reached for Mendez’s hand. The Iconoclast stood over Jordan with Nightshade standing by his side.

Jessie Vega’s Heartbreak

Andre Jordan and Lucia Mendez weren’t the only couple two to endure a breakup this year. Jessie Vega chose her career over Maria Estrella, humiliating Estrella in the process. Our very own Kimberly Kennedy invited Vega to the ring to explain herself but got Vega’s record label representative Lee Lee Hunt instead.

The RFW crowd chanted “Lee Lee Hunt is a -” well, you know what? I’m not going to finish that rhyming taunt but Hunt was as offended by it as you’d expect!

Hunt called the audience heartless animals which prompted the first time I think our fans have ever cheered for words that came out of Hunt’s mouth.

“Jessie has been devastated for the past week. She’s broken hearted over what has transpired and while none of you here deserve this, she wanted to speak to you directly about how she’s feeling and her future career plans.” -Lee Lee Hunt

Vega came out to the ring looking very sad, and yet, so perfectly groomed. I wasn’t seeing any smudged makeup and running eyeliner. She was dressed every bit a star who wanted attention. Vega was booed loudly and it took a while before she could cut through the noise.

“What all of you saw last week was framed poorly. You have no idea the pain that I am in! My heart aches and I’ve barely been able to leave my bed. My breakup with Maria has devastated me. You may not understand that now, but in two weeks, you can buy my new album, ‘Wrestling with a Broken Heart’ and experience my pain more intimately. In addition, I will stepping away from RFW for the remainder of the spring season to go on a tour in support of my album where we can connect in person through my music, and heal my wounded heart. Thank you!” -Jessie Vega

Ah, and then came the waterworks! The “devastated” Vega was comforted by Hunt who cut off Kennedy’s attempt to get further comments as the two hurried to the back.

RFW Tag Team Championship Match

Chucky Arter and Eric Waves vs. The Navigators (c)

The Navigators have been on a run of a lifetime in wrestling the past couple of years, solidifying themselves as one of the best tag teams today, maybe ever! Enter Chucky Arter and Eric Waves. These two burst onto the scene and earned themselves a chance to dethrone the RFW Tag Team Champions.

The challengers wasted no time showing the champions that they meant business. Arter and Waves took full advantage of their opportunity and fought hard through the opening minutes of this match. Their momentum was so intense that Arter nearly pinned Pete Arrow causing Aidan North to nearly have a nervous breakdown on the apron.

The Navigators found the opportunity to break into this match after North dropkicked Waves’s attempt saw a cross body block. The champions, realizing their opponents were more formidable than they first first, were more aggressive than usual. Waves struggled to make a fresh tag to Arter but make an opening for his team when he avoided a powerbomb from Arrow by rolling into a DDT.

Waves made the tag to a fired up Arter who cleared Arrow from the ring. The Navigators regrouped outside the the ring but Arter dove through the ropes and tackled the champions. Arter and Waves were looking so good here but it was North who showed why The Navigators are the champions by using a facebuster to Waves, following up with a shooting star press, and pinning Waves for the victory.

The Navigators were declared the winners here but if anyone deserved a standing ovation, it’s Chucky Arter and Eric Waves. These two showed they were ready to hang with the best tag team in RFW. Apparently, The Navigators understood this, also, when Aidan North grabbed a microphone and had a parting message for their opponents.

“Tonight wasn’t your night, but it easily could have been. You guys are the real deal and I just know we will meet again down the road. We look forward to it.” -Aidan North

The Navigators reached out their hands and shook hands with Arter and Waves garnering a strong cheering from the crowd.

RFW Wildheart Championship

Phueng Ahunai vs. Meghan DeWitt

Our main event saw the self-anointed “Next Generation” Phueng Ahunai challenging Meghan DeWitt for the Wildheart. Ahunai has had a great start in RFW and looked to make her debut year even brighter with some gold.

DeWitt and Ahunai tested each other in the early moments of this match before DeWitt hit a string of strong kicks and kept her challenger down on the mat with takedowns. Ahunai showed determination and refused to stay down for long. DeWitt was snapped to the mat by Ahunai who began to work on the champion’s legs. A smart way to take away the champ’s dangerous kicks is to wear down those legs.

Ahunai’s dominance was on display as this main event went on. I wouldn’t say the challenger played with DeWitt but Ahunai showed off a confidence between slams and takedowns that made her look every bit the star she’s been saying she is since she got here. DeWitt found herself thrown to the outside where Ahunai gleefully stalked her and continued beating down the champ. Ahunai had DeWitt leaning against a ring post and ran toward her but DeWitt burst from the post with a flying knee full of desperation! Ahunai looked knocked out and DeWitt used every bit of strength to get them both back in the ring. DeWitt covered but Ahunai kicked out.

DeWitt started to claw back into this fight but Ahunai still showed spirit, too. We got a little more back and forth before DeWitt hit a flying knee in the center of the ring and covered Ahunai for the three count.

Meghan DeWitt overcame an incredibly difficult challenge but stood the victor and our defending RFW Wildheart Champion. As for Phueng Ahunai, her first big showing in RFW was a major success even in defeat. Something tells me she may yet live up to her “Next Generation” moniker.

As DeWitt celebrated in the ring, Alexandra Morgan’s music began to play and she stepped out to the arena with Claudia Winter by her side. Winter had a short message for the champion.

“Congratulations, Meghan. You just earned yourself a title defense against the one, the only, Alexandra Morgan. We will see you at Spring Shockwave.” -Claudia Winter

And there we have it! Meghan DeWitt will clash with Alexandra Morgan with the Wildheart on the line at our next supershow. We’ve got several more weeks of action before then so we’ll see you next week!
