We are running on high energy through this back half of the spring season with an action-packed show that we just can’t wait to share! So, let’s get to it. I’m Shawn Roberts, the voice of RFW, and I’ve got all the info you need to know about all the action in, and out, of the ring.

Welcome to Rapid Fire Wrestling!

Lost Cause vs. Chucky Arter and Eric Waves

Our show kicked off with Lost Cause, the number one contenders for the RFW Tag Team Championship, against Chucky Arter and Eric Waves who have burst on the scene and, in my opinion, gave our tag division a healthy boost. Lost Cause was without Paisley Alden who was backstage preparing for her main event match against Phueng Ahunai. Yep! Lost Cause bookended this show.

This was a solid tag match with two teams who work well together. Lost Cause may not get the credit for their in-ring work thanks to their out-of-ring antics but they looked great here. Cool Spencer moved quick while Rus Samson brought the power. An effective combination for sure but Arter and Waves broke through and built some serious momentum. There were a few close calls for Lost Cause but in the end, Samson gorilla pressed Arter and Spencer landed on him with a body splash. 1 2 3 and Lost Cause picked up a tough victory on their way toward facing the champs, The Navigators.

Who’s Ready?

Kimberly Kennedy stepped into the ring and invited RFW Wildheart Champion Meghan DeWitt to the ring to discuss her upcoming challenger, Alexandra Morgan. DeWitt felt that Morgan was overly confident.

“I want you to understand something, Alexandra. You are impressive in this ring and you clearly have the desire to carry this title. But you need to be ready for a real fight. I have been the RFW Wildheart Champion since August. You don’t carry a championship here without having grit. Make sure you are as ready for this fight as you think you are.” -Meghan DeWitt

Wait for it. Wait for it. And out came Alexandra Morgan with her manager Claudia Winter. Winter did the talking and turned the tables on DeWitt.

“A year ago, you were by my side. I know you better than anyone. I’ll give you credit for your accomplishment. You’ve proven yourself with the Wildheart. But, please, let’s be honest. You haven’t faced anyone like Alexandra Morgan. She’s more dangerous than ever. She’s strong than ever. She’s more determined than ever. It’s not Alexandra that needs to be ready and I think deep down you know it.” -Claudia Winter

DeWitt said she was ready now leading to star down between herself and Morgan. Winter tried to calm the situation but DeWitt and Morgan began brawling anyway. The fight continued until Morgan flattened the champion with a spinning side slam.

Kenneth Cobb Introduces Himself

Next up, Kenneth Cobb came down to the ring with Hector Diaz. The former HAW star came to send a message to Lords of Chaos about who they are dealing with.

“For those unfamiliar, my name is Kenneth Cobb. I don’t sleep. I don’t wait for problems to resolve themselves. I take action. Rex, Ruslan, you have a problem with me and my new friend Hector and we’re calling you out. Crawl out from whatever dark corner you are scheming in and come here to settle this the only way I think it can happen. With fists!” -Kenneth Cobb

Lords of Chaos did not disappoint. Both side brawled. Not just in the ring, but out of the ring. And not just at ringside. This one went into the crowd! The audience cheered on this wild fight as Anarchy suplexed Diaz on the concrete, Cobb cleared fans from their seats and drove Panov into the seats. Anarchy and Cobb continued to fight into the backstage area where nothing not nailed down was respected. These guys made a mess as they used equipment, bashed each other through doors, and at one point even used people as weapons. You can blame that one on Anarchy who took Fred, one of our lighting guys, and whipped him into Cobb.

Diaz and Panov rejoined this fight which ended up breaching through the doors of RFW’s wrestling school! Class was in session as the four burst into the training facility. Students cheered on as the fight continued. This one eventually had to be broken up by RFW staff and security.

A Request for Jessie Vega

RFW Commissioner Aurora Starkey was already unnerved by four of her wrestlers making a mess of our arena and training facility but her frustrations only got worse from here. Lee Lee Hunt, Jessie Vega’s record label representation, came to the commish with a request.

“2025 marks Jessie’s tenth year in wrestling. Isn’t that fantastic? We think so, too. I know Jessie is on tour right now and can’t be here but she will be back for this summer’s Rapid Fire Festival and we thought with the momentum of her new album success and her wrestling anniversary, she be put in a prominent position at the festival. Say, an RFW World Championship title shot?” -Lee Lee Hunt

I don’t know if it was because of the backstage brawl that just occurred or Hunt’s very existence but Starkey was not receptive to this request.

“Let me explain to you how I approach this job. I give opportunities to people who have earned them. Jessie Vega is very important to RFW and is always welcome here. However, she needs to earn her opportunities like everyone else and lately I’ve seen nothing in her performance or behavior that suggests a title opportunity. So, no. Forget about it. Now get out of my office.” -Aurora Starkey

Hunt was frozen in place until Starkey shouted at her to leave. Tell me, dear fans. Is Lee Lee Hunt on anybody’s good side?

Lucia Mendez vs. Keira Ryan

Despite her “it’s complicated” status with RFW Grand Champion Andre Jordan, Lucia Mendez is trying to get ahead in her in-ring career and faced Open Wrestling Alliance free agent Keira Ryan in singles action.

Ryan, the San Andreas Wrestling (SAW) Champion, gave Mendez a good fight. Both women were relentless throughout this match which was largely a technical wrestling affair. Ryan was sharp-witted and found opportunities to roll into submissions or pins. Mendez withstood Ryan’s attempts and came through with a tight collection of suplexes, submissions, and slams. Ryan put up a good fight but was forced to submit when Mendez locked in a triangle hold.

Lucia Mendez was the winner here but a great effort by Keira Ryan who shook hands with Mendez before leaving the ring. Kimberly Kennedy stepped into the ring for a post-match interview with Mendez and asked her about what is going on with her and Jordan.

“I came to Andre’s defense last week because I still believe in him and I still support him. But my story hasn’t changed. We aren’t together anymore and last week he kissed me. It was over the line. I’m getting tired of this, Kimberly. I just want to move on and put this behind me so I can face new challenges in this ring.” -Lucia Mendez

Mendez’s next challenge wasted no time appearing because as she was about to walk through the curtain to go backstage she was speared by Yurei! Yurei made her presence known last week but her intentions were unknown. Now, it is clear she has found her new target in Lucia Mendez.

Three Elements?

Preston Montgomery and Mikey Armstrong were in a backstage hallway where Montgomery brought up The Elements’s invitation to have Armstrong join them to recreate the legendary Four Elements group. Montgomery suggested Armstrong would be better off leaving him behind and joining his old crew because they haven’t had any luck together as a team.

Armstrong’s response was something that explains a lot about him in recent years.

“No way, Preston. I love going out there every week and being a wrestler. It’s all I’ve ever wanted to do. Hanging with you and getting to tag together is so much fun. We haven’t been winning but we’ll get there. Until then, I’m just happy to be out there doing it. I’m not joining The Elements unless you came with me.” -Mikey Armstrong

How sweet! Well, The Elements didn’t think so. Marcus and Tommy V showed up, baffled by Armstrong’s thinking. The Elements flat out insulted Montgomery, calling him a waste, which prompted Armstrong to stand up for his friend and suggesting they meet The Elements in a tag match next week.

The Iconoclast w/Dezzy Nightshade vs. Bill Stanton

The Iconoclast may have his sights set on Andre Jordan’s RFW Grand Championship but he had to go through veteran brawler “Badlands” Bill Stanton on this show.

Stanton never fails to leave his opponents feeling like they’ve been through a street fight and though The Iconoclast took a good amount of punishment he overpowered Stanton and made relatively quick work of the him. The Iconoclast won this one by pinfall following a choke slam power bomb.

The Iconoclast grabbed a microphone post-match and warned Andre Jordan that his time as champion was running out. Jordan was shown watching this all go down on a monitor backstage. The Iconoclast clearly rattled Jordan because the Grand Champion stormed off, knocking over some equipment along the way. Man, our poor arena is taking a beating this week.

Insecurity

The RFW World Champion came to the ring with something to say about her upcoming opponent. Kassidy Fortune dressed for the part as our champion with dolled up hair, a dazzling dress, and high heels. She looked confident as she shared her thoughts on Annika.

“I’ve been watching old RFW to study Annika and here’s what I noticed. She’s tough as nails! She can be relentless and dangerous. I can’t underestimate her when we meet at Spring Shockwave. But, you want to know something I noticed? Underneath all that grit, I see an insecure girl. The girl who took up martial arts to keep from getting bullied at school. The insecure girl who came to RFW almost a decade ago and acted tough because she felt out of place and inexperienced. Annika, you may come off as a badass but deep down I know there’s a fragile nerve and if I hit it, it’s all over.” -Kassidy Fortune

Fortune touted herself as having the confidence required to carry the company from day one but Annika didn’t want to hear it. The challenger came down to the ring and argued with Fortune, promising her she was every bit as confident as she was dangerous. Fortune feigned a punch to make Annika flinch but was instead judo thrown across the ring. Annika came in to try and use an arm breaker on the champion but Fortune slipped away and escaped the ring.

Phueng Ahunai vs. Paisley Alden w/Lost Cause

Our main event saw Phueng Ahunai and Paisley Alden in action. Both women were looking to give themselves a boost in RFW’s ranks. Ahunai has been steadily rising since her debut just over a month ago. As for Alden, her Lost Cause partners are lined up for a tag team title match and she was aiming for a win here to boost Lost Cause’s presence even higher.

Alden looked good here in the early moments of the match but Ahunai quickly turned the tables and mounted a strong offense. Lost Cause stood on the outside cheering on Alden but Ahunai taunted them. Ahunai’s taunting only angered Alden who toughened up and started fighting back with a series of quick attacks off the ropes and some impressive takedowns.

As this match continued, the RFW Tag Team Champions The Navigators came down to ringside to get a closer look at this match. As you’d expect, this got the attention of Lost Cause who confronted The Navigators. Things got a little hot outside the ring which caused Alden to become distracted and allowing Ahunai to roll her up for the pin.

Phueng Ahunai was your winner and though no fireworks went off between Lost Cause and The Navigators, Aiden North and Pete Arrow seemed pleased with Alden’s misfortune and Lost Cause’s frustration. The tag champs played mind games and it paid off here with Ahunai benefitting as well.

That’s going to do it for us this week. Next week is our final show before our big Spring Shockwave supershow. Don’t miss it! See you then, Rapid Fire Fanatics!
